Recently I noticed some deals on Groupon for microdermabrasion so decided to buy a few deals to prep for my wedding in July. Scheduling is easy..I called and left a voicemail to which someone from the office returned a call next business day. Since then, I schedule my next session once the appointment is done. The office sends text and email reminders plus confirmation. The front desk is courteous and patient with me when trying to schedule the next appointment plus honors the Groupon deal. Since my last 2 sessions I've been most pleased with the results of the facials. Jordyn is an outstanding esthetician - professional, knowledgeable, and skillful in skincare. Jordyn's attention to detail in a matter of 45 minutes surpasses some facials I've gotten at other spas. My pores look less clogged, the chemical exfoliant brightens my skin and removes dead cells, the overall appearance of my skin is smoother to which will be ideal for the wedding photos. I have been to multiple laser hair removal, places in big cities like Miami, New York, and Detroit. And everywhere the procedure to remove hair with the same brand of laser Candella for 3 zones (Brazilian, under arm and half leg) would take them from 45 minutes minimum to one hour depending on the technique and speed master uses. This place did 3 zones in less than 10 minutes. The owner of this place was doing it for me and she claimed to have many years of experience. I paid in advance for 3 sessions and after the first session was over I asked the owner about the return policy because I was dissatisfied with the services provided. I was ok paying for that session but didn't want to come back. She said they don't have a return policy and they won't refund me the money for future sessions. In my opinion she was extremely unprofessional and wasn't even trying to be friendly or provide any customer service during the procedure or after I expressed dissatisfaction. She acted entitled the whole time. I won't come back to this place and wouldn't recommend it to anybody else. P.S. And the machine they use indeed looks dated. read more

Still seeing Emma here for laser on Brazilian area & full legs. I don't really have to shave anymore, which is just a dream come true (I was bullied as a kid for being so hairy, started shaving my legs at age 10). Emma is the best. She is so thorough and open to taking extra care of spots that don't seem to be taking to the laser as well. She is also so personable and open-minded--we have the best conversations! I recommend hydrating a TON the day before and day of your appt. One day I didn't, and the laser had me squirming around and cursing, haha. Also hurts more if you schedule appts around the time of your period. NO ADVIL OR OTHER NSAIDs or you could end up with bruising, look it up. Anyway, I can't recommend this place enough--best in chs!!! read more

Let me tell you the real information first- don't waste your money on laser hair removal at this place. I've been doing laser hair removal in various spots on my body for over a decade. Whatever this company does, it doesn't work and I'm upset that I spent any money in purchasing their packages. My initial results were satisfying but after 3-4 months, my hair is back to where it was before I started. For further context, I had laser hair removal on my face and abdomen over a decade ago that still hasn't grown back. I don't know enough about lasers to understand why their product is so terrible but please don't waste your money. The girls that work here are very pleasant and the treatments may I initially be appearing to work, but they do not. Trust me on this one!! read more

I've spent hundreds and hundreds over the past year on laser hair removal for 2 medium-sized areas and it was a waste! I did notice a difference immediately after the treatment but after the 7th or 8th session (6 is the recommended), instead of the hairs being completely gone, they kept growing back. I let the esthetician know my concerns but she just assured me it was working. I have dark, coarse hair which is perfect for this type of treatment. I've done my research and believe it was due to technique or even equipment strength or use. - Over 12 months later, my hair is exactly the same as it was before I did the treatment. read more

I have been going to Charleston laser for almost 2 years now and the girls there are nothing short of amazing!! The staff truly feels like family and I'm so lucky to have found them! I see Kim for all my laser hair removal & micro-needling/ facial lasers & she has truly made the biggest difference to my life! Between not having to shave but once a month & not seeing pimples all over my face- I'm in heaven!!! I see Sarah for all my Botox and filler and she is just a true professional! So quick and very easy to paid that amount. But i hope next treatment will be better because I bought 2 different coupons one for skin peeling and one for microdermabrasion. Beware of purchasing anything at this place if you ever need a refund. I purchased lip filler off their website for $450 on February 2nd during a Valentine's Day special they were having. I called immediately to schedule the appointment to get the filler done because I knew I was leaving town at the end of March to move to NYC due to a new job. They told me they were booked until April, which I totally understood and asked to be put on a cancellation/wait list. I explained my situation to them during my initial call, saying I would be moving away and might need a refund if I can't get in before I leave. They didn't have any issue with it or explain a "no refund" policy to me at the time. Over a month went by and I was never able to get in for my appointment because they were fully booked. I am leaving town next week to move so I asked them for a refund, considering I gave them $450 but never got the service done. When I called for a refund, they said they couldn't even find my purchase in their system. I gave them my first name, last name, email, everything, and they still couldn't locate it. They said they'd need the email confirmation of my purchase to refund me. Since I never got said confirmation, I drove to their office to show them in person that $450 was taken out of my account from their office, Charleston Laser and Aesthetics. After the manager spoke on the phone with the owner, I was told the only way to refund me is to send a certified check to my new NYC address because their policy is "no refunds." I said, "no refunds? Even if someone never even got their service done?" The manager said, "yes, because prepaying is prepaying." I'm still processing a lot of paperwork for my NYC apartment and working details out with my roommate there, so although I am moving there I don't have an EXACT day of when I will be physically at the apartment, yet I'm supposed to have them mail a check to an address I don't even physically live at yet. While I appreciate them refunding me in the first place, it is extremely upsetting that they couldn't work with me during this unique situation by just simply refunding my credit card which I had with me. The process would've took a minute do and I'd be on my way. Moving by itself is an extremely stressful and expensive situation, and now I have to wait on a certified check to come to an apartment I haven't even moved into yet. It just makes it seem like the owner and this business do not care about their customers, just their money. I also understand policy is policy, but as I said, you'd think for this unique situation I could've got a simple refund that does not take much effort to do. Disappointing for sure. read more

I wish that I could leave zero stars. I went to the Charleston location after buying a Groupon for Dysport. My eyelids are now drooping (an incredible amount) . I look terrible. The guy (not a doctor) who did the Dysport said I basically just have to wait for it to dissolve (3 months) and Charleston laser and aesthetics refuses to give me my money back (they said Groupon has to, Groupon says the business has to. I would NEVER trust these people again. Be careful because I look like a monster, and I am being forced to pay for it. read more
