If I could give a zero. I normally don't do this but here we go. So I had first went to the one in short pump a few months ago pre engagement photos and thought with the 4th of July might as well save myself time and get a spray tan again instead of doing it myself. I get there and explain that I have been there only once... so the receptionist asked for my name which I gave and it wasn't coming up in the system. Then asked for my birthdate that wasn't coming up in the system... at this point instead of helping she acted like I was there under false pretense... even asked me if I had a different last name and the exact date I went there in the past... At this point I told her all I knew and was starting to get uncomfortable with the whole situation... felt like an interrogation at one point. I think the manager came and finally explained that they must not of done me properly on short pump... and then asked me the same questions the other girl did. At this point I was just too uncomfortable and so I left... Who knew you needed a background check for a spray tan. lol read more

They have only 1 stand up level 2 booth which there is almost always a wait for (sometimes multiple customers in the queue). However, no matter how busy I always see at least 3 to 4 empty lay-down style beds. Clearly there is an extreme customer preference for stand up booths (especially level 2), for better comfort and hygiene. PBT needs to follow the data and replace the old, traditional lay-down style beds with more stand up booths to accommodate the increased demand. read more

The ladies who work here always seem nice and have been helpful in choosing shades for spray tanning. I never have to wait to use the booth and everything is always clean. I haven't used the actual tanning beds but they look new and clean. Don't have any complaints really! read more

Took my daughter here for a spray tan last month because she was going to an out of town event and wanted to look lightly tanned. She burns on top of burns so being on the actual sun is not good so we thought a spray tan was the answer. If my daughter wasn't so adamant about getting the tan I would have walked out within 30 seconds. The associate that was checking in had to be new. She couldn't really answer any questions and this was our 1st time trying this so we needed some extra attention. The other 2 associates were taking inventory and 1 of them came to other associate's aid when we had questions but acted as if she was put out. After they half explained the process we were given what seemed like 10 packets of stuff for various things to put in the machine. It was an additional $80 and they don't explain pricing to you until after you've signed your life away. But I digress...my daughter had a hard time getting the machine to help so 2 associates went back to help her- not explaining anything and telling her to stand a certain way blah blah blah. An hour after we left my daughter looked like she applied home tanning lotion blindfolded. Over $100 and she looked like she had been playing in the mud and it started to rain. I called and let them know to cancel my plan that I had just signed up for and the person who answered the phone interrupted me to say why it went wrong and implying it was on our end. Im sure it was. No one bothered to care enough about our business to explain anything clearly. Too busy with inventory I guess. I can't even blame the young woman who checked us in- she clearly was either new or too shy for customer service and the other 2 did the bare minimum to help her. Don't go here. Better results with the self tanner at CVS for a tenth of the price. read more

I am getting married in October and I want to have the same color I have in the summer. I had been contemplating spray tans but was really concerned that I would come out orange! I called around a few places and finally spoke to a girl here and she was wonderful. She explained the entire process and eased my fears. I came in for my first tan and I got the same service. The girl behind the counter was a college student about to go back to Delaware, but she took her job seriously. She spent time with me discussing each booth pros and cons and made recommendations for me as a first timer. She then walked me back and made me feel comfortable about all aspects of the process and what was going up happen. She even took the time to demonstrate. I highly recommend this place to anyone who has any anxiety about spray tanning! read more

My wife and I have come to this location for several years and until recently, I was fairly pleased but now, not so much. Recently, the sales associate at the front counter informed me I had two remaining sessions that would expire in about one week. On my next visit with in the week, I was informed by a different sales associate that I had no remaining session and there was nothing she could do for me. I will now try and find a different location that I can trust. Very disappointed. read more

I am a very upset customer. I have been going to PBT for a couple years now and have never been disappointed until today. They obviously have girls training at this location right now, and I am very understanding of what it's like to have staff that is in training. I was the only customer to walk in this afternoon and a girl who was obviously in training was at the front and told me that the manager would be with me soon. So I sat down and waited patiently for about 7 minutes. As I was sitting, 3 other women walked in and the manager finally came to the front desk. She checked the first girl in-which was fine. I saw that the trainer told the manager that I was the first person to walk in and the manager completely disregarded her statement and continued to check the other two women in. I figured at this point she was just trying to take care of those three women before she got to me. So I patiently sat there and watched what was going on to see if the manager was going to acknowledge me being there... nope. 3 other people walked in and she continued to check THEM in before me! I am very upset after my experience today and I am debating on whether I want to cancel my membership or not. read more

I took a visit here earlier today. The associates were beyond rude to me, and I felt like I was being treated with lack of respect. I was hoping for a spray tan before a special moment that I had planned to share with my family the next day, but instead my night was interrupted. When I was talking to the employees they did not provide me understanding information. They told me that I needed to find an adult that was 18+ and when I did so they told me that the person did not work. Instead they gave me the advice to go find a random person outside that was 18+. In my opinion this is not a safe option to give to a minor and I was confused when I had found a family member that was 18 that could've signed it. I was also told that I could be sued, which I found this to be a very inappropriate comment to say to someone that was trying to corporate with them. Overall I feel that I waisted my night and was not treated with anything but disrespect. read more

Today, I stopped in to use the second of my $170.00 ten pack I purchased last August of last year with the understanding that I would be able to use my sessions over one year only to told today by a very snarky young lady who was very matter of fact and aggressive. Last April, I had to experience the same sale tactic, and after enough of going back and forth, I had my package reinstated, or so I was told. Since I also work in customer service, I was careful not to be disrespectful or unreasonable. I asked for the information to be written down when I purchased and by whom and the details so I could contact a manager ( which I gave up on ) but decided to contacted their cooperate office, Yelp, FB, BBB, and any other platform to warn others not to fall victim to this operation. To add insult to the injury of being duped as a customer, the two immature employees laughed and made noises at me as I was leaving the store, and I stopped and asked them if losing $170.00 was funny and why not at least to wait until I went before insulting in front of other patrons. I joined the 1 tan a month for 19.95 deal last year and went once a month march-august. When I went to cancel in August, the girl told me that I could freeze my account for $7 a month and then it would be pro-rated once I unfroze my account. Nine months later, I went to unfreeze my account and find out that not only do I need to pay an additional $12 to unfreeze my account, but the $60 credit I accrued could only be used on their products or upgrades not on the monthly charges. I had tolerated the pushiness and sales pitches, but this deception is just too much. There are better places around to get a spray tan for the same price. No regrets cancelling my account. read more

I've always had a great experience at this PBT, I've been three times to this location. The staff is super friendly and pulls up my account very quickly. It's never a hassle to get set up and I don't really ever feel pressured to buy any add ons/lotions/etc. but was still given helpful recommendations when I had questions. I always only do spray tan, and originally had issues with it being a little too orange for my complexion at first, but after trying the violet toner one of the sales reps recommended me I had no issues. Very even and pretty, natural color. 5 stars! read more

I have not had any issues with Palm Beach in general or at this location. A while back I had an account and my card updated and I moved, completely forgot to cancel my account and it racked up quite a tab. I contacted their customer service and told them what happened and they cleared my account. The lady was extremely nice and understanding. So once that was done I signed up at this location. Explaining why I was tanning to Clay he found the best package for me, helped me with tanning lotions, and even was interested in just me as a customer. I'll keep going back! read more

If it were not for two ladies in particular that work there I wouldn't even be able to give this establishment 2 stars. Not sure how many employees they have but all have been flat out rude and/or indifferent with the exception of two. What makes the rudeness even worse is that I usually have to wait for them to clean and then they start chatting and forget to let me know the bed is ready. Once or twice is fine but 9 times out of 10? Horrible service and I wouldn't recommend, especially with the amount of money paid. read more

First off I never got a chance to use the salon because my call was never taken off hold. I had read the negative reviews but thought I 'd call to schedule some time and see if it was really that bad. After all is just tanning. Someone answered the phone and asked me to "hold please". I thought I'd see how long it would take them to get back to me or at the very least acknowledge my call and place me back on hold. I held for over 10 minutes at 8:30 on a Wednesday morning and then gave up. Humm maybe those negative reviews were right all along. There's a lot of competition out there people. You should learn customer service too. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. This is a horribly run company with extremely poor customer service. I do not recommend. They are overpriced, pushy, and use shady business tactics to keep you from canceling your subscription. Had a horrible expierence with Emily on 10/2 around 6pm. Waited in the lobby for 20 minutes just to go to my stand up room and not have a towel or a string for my goggles and the bed wouldn't start so I had to get redressed and come out to the lobby for another 10 minutes just to have her put me in a different bed and lie about the max time, me and several others in the lobby told her the correct max time but she refused to listen. Very disapointed in the service and the fact that there was no other knowledgeable staff there. read more

Will never be back. New to the area, tried to find a tanning salon so I thought I'd try this one since it was close to my home. The girls were so pushy about what I should and shouldn't do when it comes to tanning. I hate that! Found a better salon where the girls are much nicer, Native Sun Tanning. Go there! read more

Be careful. This place will only let you cancel your account in person in the store, so good luck if you move. I drove almost an hour just to cancel my account. I'm pretty sure the business model is to cross their fingers and hope you don't show up so they can continue charging you. Also- they "omit" a lot of important information. For example- "make sure if you want to freeze or cancel your account you do it by the 25th of the month." They knew that I moved, told me I could freeze my account online, but left out the $7.50 monthly charge associated with "freezing" the account and forgot to mention it would have to be by the 23rd of the month if you do it online. Lots of hoops to jump through when you're ready to leave, but they'll treat you nicely until they know you're leaving. Don't recommend- find a place more honest with less fine print. read more
