I was kinda skeptical because I've never paid upfront for a massage before but whatever... anyways, at the end, another women comes to bring me to the front room. She asks if I wanna leave a tip and I said... sure. I wrote $3 because I was genuinely in pain most of the service. She literally looked at me and goes "it's $10 MINIMUM for a hour" .. excuse me? When is a tip EVER mandatory? & after I write the $3, she grabbed the receipt for me and wouldn't even let me finish writing my total. I asked for it back because I didn't feel comfortable with how she treated me at that moment. I will not be returning. The entitlement is absolutely insane and unprofessional. Plus, the whole place reeks of FEET. I should've left after I noticed but always try to give a chance. Never again.

I won't make you guess, I'm incredibly pleased to have found Heather. To start, it's not signed from the outside. But if you park and walk to the address, you'll see a sign immediately on the window directing you upstairs, above the salon. (There is an assist device for anyone who may need assistance or is unable to climb stairs). The space is really pretty. Simple and well decorated and soothing from every angle. The entry way, the reception area and the massage room all flow nicely. Heather was waiting at the desk and greeted me warmly as soon as I entered. She's great at making you feel welcome immediately. Her questionnaire is only one page (I strongly dislike the places that think they need 25 sheets of your medical information, elementary school grades, diagrams of your first car and a list of all US Vice Presidents since the 1920's) and covers the important stuff without being intrusive. My massage was catered to me and what I had asked. Heather did not speak after we began except to coach breathing or ask about pressure when working out a painful knot. My 90 minute massage was 90 minutes of hands on time, not 90 mins from entry to exit. She even spent a few minutes over trying to work one trouble spot all the way through. The table was comfortable and the sheets were clean and smelled great. She left me with a hot towel and met me in the reception area with a big glass of icy water. Despite her recommendation that I come back next month, I made an appointment for two weeks from today. She's too good to wait another month for. In the first treatment, Joan was able to reduce swelling significantly, taught me how to perform lymphatic brushing/drainage on my own and properly fitted me for a compression garment. When we got there, there was a bit of confusion as to whay exactly we wanted, even though we had been called ahead. In any event she chose the milk & honey while I picked the goat milk pedicure. Any time at the other location mom chose that version, they've put actual milk and honey into the foot bath, but not this time. This location simply uses different scrubs for your legs. Lack of uniformity was confusing and frustrated mom who had to ask mess about it. Our massages afterwards were lovely, very relaxing, but when I was waiting for mom to finish in the ladies room, I saw someone else giving the most half hearted massage imaginable. She was doing it one hammered while messing around on her phone for over a minute until I took a picture's -1* for the inconsistency between locations -1* for the "massage" I witnessed Diane and E (something that started with an E) were wonderful stylists.
