Specifically went in person to the salon prior to signing up for a membership, asking if my daughter is allowed to wait in the waiting room due to me being widowed. It was no problem at first and I've been going almost every day for about a month until I walked in today and there was a different woman at the desk who was super rude and told me some BS about it being South Carolina state law that she can't be in there, which is false and also super frustrating. It's a bummer because I love all of the older women and the man that works there, but this young girl with straight hair was rude as all heck and decided to make up her own rules like she ran the place as if I haven't been going there every consecutive days for weeks now. read more

They take your money out of your bank account and do not give you the service you already paid for . .They will punish you for not attending every day and not allow you to tan for more then 5 minutes on a 12 minute bed They do not allow anyone in their red light therapy because they have to clean it They have construction issues with doors that don't close shut and leaking air conditioners that wet the floors They like being control freaks and they decide which beds you are going in and how many minutes in each session . No matter what kind of skin you think you have they quote a policy for one size fits all I have bought tanning lotions there that they push you to buy , only to find out they discontinue the product They sell used tanning lotions products that they allow people to put their noses on to smell for full price I would not recommend this place in Boiling Springs South Carolina read more

I just joined a week ago and have had a great experience. I joined one of their higher memberships with red light therapy in the bed to tan and love it. The lotions and tanning products they make are also high-quality. I also appreciate they limit the amount you tan the first two times you come to prevent burns. While I don't burn during tanning, I think this is a great precaution that is made to protect your skin. Also, keep in mind they have a 24 hour policy that means you have to wait 24 hours between each session. I find this is a responsible way to keep customers skin healthy and protected between sessions, even though it can be annoying at first. After the first three times you come, however, you don't need to come everyday anyway to maintain your tan; tanning 3-5 times a week is plenty and more than enough to maintain color. I also found the staff super kind. The young girls there were both polite and made sure I had what I needed beforehand. Everything was super clean as well. I don't understand some of these reviews. Fantastic and kind-hearted sales staff. Always willing to help, great attitudes, sincere concern for customer satisfaction. Several even make the effort to memorize clientele's names. Not heard of in these days of "the customer is always wrong". Technology on the other hand is in the absolute dark ages. When every other industry is using easy-touch, user-intuitive hardware and software, Ultra still insists on using a system that makes the customer stand behind the counter for senseless periods of time while good-intentioned staff do their best to click, type, scroll, click, type to no end. On several occasions their system has been down (as well as beds), forcing me to make another long drive home (wasted trip). Does not occur to company to offer reimbursement on gas or free session. (Just the offer and recognition of faulty equipment causing out of pocket expense to customer would be refreshing) and then there's the ridiculous finger print scanning ceremony that only works 50% of the time and makes clientele feel more like criminals in a court data system than paying customers worthy of an awkward-free experience. I can overlook being short on towels and lotion and dripping mystic spray booths from time to time and I will continue to come here because of the cheery, resilient, kind-hearted staff members.... but come on Ultra!!! Get with the times! Stop being so money-minded and start putting customer/staff service first! All the restaurants do it. Just look at their current technology. Catch up or fear being left behind. I for one - don't want to lose you. Last thought: I wonder if the CEOs have stood on the other side of the counter while being finger printed and waiting for extensive amounts of time just to be sent to a tanning bed five feet away? read more

I really love this location since it got a new manager a few months ago. It used to be dirty and the old manager was rude and hateful. The newer one is always willing to go over the lotions and the different beds. She takes the time to talk to you instead of rushing you. The bed selection in Westgate is much better than the other locations. There's also a new girl with Long brown hair that is really sweet too!! read more

I don't know the name of the lady who works there she has black hair blue eyes but she is very rude I am always given attitude and not once did she ask how I was doing. I once forgot the number of a bed and she corrected me rudely and i was shocked. I don't go to that location anymore. read more

I have been going to this place for years. And I love the fact that this location is close to work, it makes it so easy to go on lunch break. They have recently got a new manager with red hair and I have never been so irritated before. I understand that part of that job is selling product and I am all for that, but she takes it to a new level... The minute you walk in she is badgering you to buy something. Once I say no she keeps asking and keeps asking. Again I completely understand you make have to make money and commission off your sales, but there is a big difference between offering products and making you feel bad if you don't buy something. It has come to the point where I don't even want to go in this location if she is there, If I see her when I pull up I leave all together because I am tired of being bombarded by buying something. Let me remind you I already have the Platinum package which is almost 70 dollars a month, I cannot physically pay for lotion, face cream, bronzer, ETC every time I come to tan. Its the most uncomfortable feeling when she is there. read more
