This was not the only time they have been rude & wouldn't honor a walk. A few times I a friend and I have called in but once arrived no appointments was booked. And the front desk attendant was very rude on my first 2 visits. I noticed certain clients are treated with kindness and respect. So I started back with Pelham. I called in to see if I could do a walk in for sugaring & was told told there was only one person that did sugaring would be available but I need to be there before she left & if not I could been seen by someone else not not sugar wax . I said ok advice I would TRY TO MAKE IT there but traffic was very bad. I called once I saw it was impossible to make it & asked if I could just be seen whoever was there. Few minutes later I received a call back saying I scheduled an appointment which I never scheduled I was told if I got there in time & my name was never given they expressed this when I showed up the next day that they cancelled my last appointment. I wasn't pleased with them making me an appointment after I clearly stated I was coming from the Simpsonville location upset and they scheduled an appointment. I even paid for membership but was told I could be able to use membership only at Pelham location after I had sign & paid for membership. I was under the impression that membership could be used for any location.

The end result was exactly what I needed so that's not the complaint. The services overall while there were very subpar. I was first surprised being told zoya nail polish would make my hands unusable for the entire day because it takes that long to dry. That's not true. I use zoya at home and have never had this issue. Then was told for an extra $10 I could have polish that would be dry when I left the salon- kind of crazy. I forewent any polish at all because it wasn't worth the hassle apparently. Next the encounters with the nail techs were very strange. Not a single person introduced themselves or really even acknowledged me. The manicurist walked up and all she said was what shape do you want your nails and later asked if I wanted cuticle oil- that's was about the extent of our interaction. The pedicurist was a little more approachable but it was still an overall odd encounter compared to any beauty services I've ever had. Then the service overall was subpar. It was insanely overcharged for what it was. The hot towel that you pay for in some of the packages was literally just 30 seconds long. Massage maybe 30 seconds. And as someone mentioned the bath basins are very awkward. I wear a size 6 shoe and my feet barely had room to fit in the basin with the design of the hangover and faucet. Love that there's no fumes but that's about where the "good" ends. Definitely wouldn't go back.

Their typical polishes don't dry super quick, so I paid an extra $10 to get the Diamond Dry, which is like a gel polish that dries within 5 mins, without any harsh chemicals or UV lights. The last time I was there she disregarded me and got on her phone to text and make phone calls in the middle of her doing my nails. I would ask her questions and she'd answer as if she was annoyed. Lately, the service with them has not been good. They ask a lot of intrusive questions and make racial remarks that they think aren't harming. I've been charged extra for things simply because they were having a "bad day." I really liked this spot, but I'd rather go somewhere where they value their customers. Customer service is everything and their prices don't reflect the half-assed job they provide.
