My hubby and i had dinner next door and I got the wild idea to surprise him by getting a wax. I looked at the website and found that it was an easy process to book a service and they had availability the next day before I could chicken out. I arrived early and checked in. There is a small waiting area with various potions for sale along one wall. It was very minimalistic, clean and modern. Watching the people walk by outside distracted me from what I was about to do. I noted that I didn't hear anyone screaming so it must be ok. At my appointment time this tiny little sadist came out and got me. She was sweet and soft spoken. We get into her room where she closed the door and told me to take off my pants. Just like that?!? No dinner? No cocktail? No niceties, just "take off my pants" while she's standing there? Ack! I shrugged it off, thinking she was going to clearly see everything anyway but eek. She told me to lay face up on the table and assume the butterfly position. I told her to be gentle because it's my first time. She explained about the wax they use and a little about the process. She asked if I had watched any videos or anything then giggled when I said no. She assured me I'd be fine.... The nice lady then begins to apply hot wax to my most sensitive areas. Starting along the top and sides. This is when reality kicks in that she's going to have to rip it off, and rip it off she did. I kept my cool, focused on breathing. While I was distracted she did it AGAIN! On the same area!!! At this point I'm considering calling this whole thing off, but then I feel hot wax in an even more sensitive spot! And it is running INTO PLACES!!!! Into!!! Then I'm really concerned because I'm worried she is going to just flat out rip my lady parts off!!! Can that happen? Will I die? And then, she rips the wax. The most searing hot pain I have ever felt in my life rips the very breath from my body. You guys? This is worse than child birth. I've had four kids with horrible back labor and this was worse!!!!!! Then I feel the wax on the other side. At this point, I'm clutching my hair in my hands, sweating, tearing up, barely breathing, I mayyy die after all. The nice sadist lady notices I'm shaking and says she going to give me a minute. I whimper out a breathless thanks. She tells me that I'm halfway through the worst part. Ugh. Then sends me back into it. I felt my soul leave my body. But then she re-waxes those same areas several times to "get the little hairs" that had been left behind. I think she was just enjoying herself by causing me pain lol. So then it's over, right? Wrong! Now she tells me to hug my knees to my chest so she has access to my OTHER sensitive area. I start to quiver and she tells me it's the easiest part and quite honestly, she was right. NOW it's over, right? Nope. Now she wants to tweeze any strays she sees. I'm thinking to myself I've used tweezers a time or two, this part will be fine. I was wrong. Very wrong. It literally felt like she dug the tweezers deep into my pores themselves and rooted around for things. After a few tweezes she decides I've had enough since I was in so much pain and my skin was very angry at us. She finished me off with a soothing serum that she says will help with the irritation and prevent ingrowns and suggested that I purchase some to use at home. At this point I will do anything to get out of this torture room. I go to check out and they offer me a membership package because apparently people choose to do this to themselves more than once? I don't know if I'm those people. There you have it. The good, the bad, the ugly. Now that it's over it's almost like getting a tattoo. It hurts like hell but you think "I did that" and survived. I don't know yet if I'll do it again or not but we shall see....

My concern was if I made the appointment for 8am and had waited for them to finally come, how would they have accommodated me? Nonetheless. I didn't even pursue service with this business because I was so turned off with the lack of good service.

I had Botox and cheek filler performed at the Beavercreek, Ohio location. The Botox on my forehead was uneven leaving one eye higher then the other eye and I still had significant wrinkling over one eye. The filler I asked for on my cheeks has been a nightmare. When the nurse was injecting me she was putting the filler under my eyes when I had told her to place it on the flat areas of my cheeks. I have previously had over the past 2 years been seeing a facial plastic surgeon for my injections but he was unavailable over the holidays. I told her I had never had fillers placed under my eyes yet she continued. The results were horrific! The skin under my eyes had turned white ...known as blanching from improper injecting. This also left large puffy bags under my eyes that I never had before. When the nurse was finished I was still left with the same issues I came in with and a bill of $989.00. When I called the next day I was told I needed to wait at least 2 weeks for a consultation. In the meantime I saw my plastic surgeon and he was quite concerned and shocked with the uneven, unnatural, and unnecessary placement of the filler under my eyes leaving what is called FESTOONS (large bags). When I went for my follow up at Face Forward I came to find out the nurse who did my injections was no longer there... I wondered why?? The staff clearly could see my concerns and offered to dissolve the filler they had put in the wrong area (under my eyes) and wanted to charge me and additional $650.00 to put the filler in the proper place. so in essence they wanted to dissolve their mistake and the filler I had paid $650.00 for. They should have put it in the correct place to begin with. They don't listen and place the fillers where they want to. What a terrible , unprofessional lack of follow through patient care. Face Forward did not stand by their work they are more concerned about making money at the expense of there clients. I also want to note that I returned immediately after my follow up appointment when I realized I had forgotten my car keys to find the entire staff laughing.,So disrespectful. Save your money and a lot of headaches ..stay away from Face Forward.

On a whim I called up B Douglas Salon & Spa just a few weeks ago to possibly get just a simple…read morehaircut. The women I spoke to was pleasant and said they had an opening, so I hurried on down. Upon arrival I found the business very clean and the receptionist was very friendly. The reception area was very beautifully decorated and had comfortable seating as well. My wait was short and soon Theresa, my new stylist was out to meet me. I explained to her I had not had a haircut in a long time and was at all loss as to what to do. I told Theresa I would be open to coloring as well as a cut as we embarked on a hair mark over. Theresa really took her time explaining the type of cut and color that would be best for my face and skin tone. The other stylists even stopped by to add their expertise from time to time when I felt a little uncertain as to what to choose. After all the coloring was rinsed out we decided on a cut and boy was I excited. Theresa did such an amazing job, every step of the way she made sure I was comfortable with what she was doing and the outcome was what I wanted. She was just amazing. My hair has honestly never looked better. I would recommend this salon to anyone who wants quality and precision hair care.
