I have a 14lb 5-year-old Maltipoo Conchita and a 16lb 6-year-old Poodle Brownie. Conchita was kicked out from two different places due to biting the groomers. I was even told I should consider medicating her before any attempts to groom her. I had lost hope for Conchita, then a friend referred me to Plam Ridge, she spoke highly of this place and they did not disappoint. Conchita is still a little difficult, but her groomer knows how to handle her. Neither one of my babies has ever come back with bruises, cuts nor are they scared to go inside which is a great sign. We have taken our dog there for quite some time now with no problems but after the last time I am very concerned about our dog. She has developed dark small spots all over her head. Also noticed when I pet her, I felt small things that I thought were something she had picked up outside but I found it was several of her hairs with a small piece of skin attached to them. Brought in my Doll face Persian cat to get groomed and they completely ruined his beautiful fur. When I dropped him off they said it would take about 4-5 hours until he would be done. Let me add my cat has mats due to wearing a cone for medical reasons. Within an hour I get a call to come pick up my cat because "he's a feisty little cat" I was confused because my cat is extremely sweet and loves humans. I arrived and as I waited to get him I paid the guy. I was completely shook when I saw my once upon a time beautiful cat and how they left him. It looked like he got in a fight with a razor and the razor won. His fur was uneven, half of his head was shaved and the other half had long hair. He was completely traumatized, he wouldn't stop shaking. I don't know what they did to him in there for him to be that scared of a place. Apparently, they couldn't finish the job cause of how he reacted. They kept saying how difficult of a cat he was to groom and kept making excuses for their poor job. I was so upset with how it turned out and shocked, I did not even think to argue about what just happened so I just left but I did mention how unhappy I was with their service and how horrible of a job they did with my cat. They were not sympathetic nor did they offer my money back even tho I felt the service was undone. That's the least they could have done considering how they left my cat! I got my goldendoodle groomed here. They were super friendly, and upfront about how long it would take, which was nice. I picked her up, and we came home and I noticed her butt was bleeding. No one said anything about nicking her. So I called. Groomer said she has no idea, the front desk lady said she noticed but I was walking out the door. They asked what I wanted, and I said to be told if something happens to my dog. She said okay, and hung up. I get that dogs can move, but to not even tell the owner, is absolutely absurd. I never received my cats back with an ugly haircut, cuts or smelling bad no never !! my girl cat sensi is usually a B but today they said she did good and didn't growl or scratch !! I took my dog to get groomed and they totally messed my dog up. First of all I brought my dog in at One o clock and didnt get him back until Seven PM then after waiting 6 hours when I got home something seemed wrong with my dog. He was shaking and when I touched his shoulder he yelped really loud and was limping. I'm worried about him because hes in bad pain. I definitely WILL NOT take my dog into this place again. Now I'm praying that my dog recovers ok. I feel so bad that I took him to this place. Just to save some money. It's the next day and hes no better he's trembling and wont eat. Recently brought my elderly chihuahua here and wow- I cannot recommend these wonderful folks enough. Their customer service was wonderful and the products they used smell great even to this day (2-3 days later). They took the time to ensure my little man was taken care of and went above and beyond transforming the back of his ears which needed a desperate scrub. They also did what I could not, keep a hold of him while trimming his claws! That's a miraculous feat indeed! My little man is looking 4 years younger and he has a little pep in his step after the pampering and quality treatment he received. First and last time bringing my dog here. I called before taking my dog and asked if they had a monthly unlimited bath. They told me yes, and it would be between $60-$75 a month. They even told me it included bath, nail trim, and air dry. I had my sons drop off our dog and when I called to get the price because they said it depended on dog size and fur they told me they have no monthly unlimited wash plan. At that point my dog was already there and I felt tricked. Probably not intentional, but how can that type of info be mis-communicated? Once I picked up the dog the actual bath was not bad but also not spectacular. Bad customer service I called the same number when I got the total after I dropped my dog off so no, I did not call another place. It doesn't make sense that they gave me the wrong info but they did. They sounded confused like they didn't know the answer, they put me on hold and came back with bad info. As the owner you should train your workers better and not try to make it seem as if I called another place. I have only had good service from the staff at Palm Ridge groomers. I did take my Oliver one time and they did keep him a while but when I mentioned his separation issues (or mine rather) she mentioned I could let them know when I wanted to pick him up or even better do the puppy special where they wash him do his nails and glands if needed and give him back wet or towel dried. I stumbled onto something great! I wait as they clean up my smelly buddy and he is now loving the grooming experience. He even made friends with the resident cat on premises today. I have also purchased items from them they have so many outfits, leashes, treats etc. I bought one of those poop bag holders and always get my refills there so cheap! It breaks my heart to have given this place another chance. It is such a convenient location for me, and you'd think for being in business so long the scheduling would be more under control. I schedule my appointments first thing in the morning drop my Yorkie off right when they open assuming they will have her ready in a reasonable amount of time? I call at 12:45 to check how much longer it would be, my pet had been sitting in a kennel 4 hours with only a bath? I spoke to the groomer and he said I didn't know she was here for a cut? I explain to the person who checked in my dog what I wanted, and he also mentioned how good my dog smelled that she didn't even smell like she needed a bath I let him know she is an indoor dog. The groomer said give me another hour I will call when she's ready. I walked in at 3pm and my dog was in a kennel nobody called me to let me know she was ready! 6 1/2 hours and my dog was the second dog to be dropped off. So if you're in need of doggy care for the day and grooming all at once this is the place for you! 55.00! It saddens me that for the second time I put my dog through this. Do not take your dog to this place. My dog had an appointment at 9:30 am and showed up on time. They gave me a time frame of 4 hrs for him to be done. 4.5 hrs later, no call. I called them and was told that within the hour he would be done. He wasn't. I had to show up to ask if he was done. They couldn't find his card and that is why they never called me. The grooming was horrible. I asked for a trim and they shaved him completely. There were patches of fur all over his body and I had to clean him up at home. I am never going back again. Beware of this place they totally hacked my dog. I admit he was a bit mated but they cut him all over now he's just been acting weird. My poor dog is traumatized. He has never been so short. They took him in without knowing If he was a safe dog to have around other dogs. I took in my husky because someone posted a good review and that they charged them $30. I was charged $45 even after the fact I had called earlier and told $30. My dog was not fully dry and he was not brushed when I picked him up. He had not been properly groomed, I could see and feel the excess fur patches. I took my dog in at 10am and didn't get a call to pick him up until 3:30. I had to take my dog to the vet after this for: 1. His ears weren't properly washed out resulting in an infection. 2. They did something to his but and he has severe redness on one side. Like they shaved him or cut him. Which resulted us in putting an ointment to help our poor puppy. I have taken my children (2 dachshunds) here a few times. I get the same thing every time and have been satisfied in the outcome and overall experience. They are always busy here, but the workers are friendly, they have the cheapest prices around, and my babies leave clean and happy to see me. I call before I drive down to ensure they have time to fit both dogs in. I call in the morning, so I have gotten in every time. I get a wash for both dogs, I ask for special shampoo/conditioner for one dog due to his sensitive skin. I have both their nails trimmed and filed, as well as their anus sack cleaned. Sounds crazy huh? Well it is, Google this procedure and you will be blown away like I was. Lol. It usually takes a couple of hours (3-4), so I leave them and run errands. When they call me, I return pay $30 for 2 dogs (great deal), and pick up my babies (both wearing neck bandanas). This has been my go to spot for my dogs, and it's the best in town. Quality over quantity, in other words you get what you pay for. Their prices might save you a couple bucks but it is not worth the service they provide. I will not make the mistake of bringing my cats here again. I have never been so disappointed and infuriated with someone's service nor towards a business and their staff. We came in with two cats a male and female, our boy is 4 years old and our girl is almost 2. The lady who was in charge of cutting my little girls nails was on the phone, trying to hold her down with one and hand and trim her nails with that very same hand all while talking on the phone and holding the phone with the other one. Where in the world does this make any sense!? Of course you're not going to be able to multitask. You could see in her face she was getting frustrated with her facial expressions and the way she got more aggressive with Mila. Again, you can not expect to trim any pets nails with ONE HAND! I'm assuming she manhandled and mistreated my girl because she couldn't finish her call. Sure enough as soon as she was done with Mila making an ugly face as she closed her little carrier she went straight to the phone. The only service we asked for was a nail trim for both of them, they charged $6.00 each, before actually seeing the way she was mistreating out little girl we made a generous tip of $4.00 dollars for each cat. So overall our total was $20.00 we should have asked for that money back but we didn't since that will be the last of our service that we provide them. So many things were wrong with this situation, the fact that the guy tried to justify the lady's actions and the fact that he lacked the ability to acknowledge that her actions were wrong. I'm not sure how this business operates but when you're "on the clock" you're working and doing your job you're not supposed to be on the phone having a whole conversation especially when you're "cutting/trimming" another living beings nails, what if she cut her the wrong way? Or too much. In general her being on the phone was wrong to begin with, and for her to be getting frustrated and annoyed with my little girl moving around because she was uncomfortable with how the lady was handling her does not give her the right to mistreat her. I really hope that people think twice about bringing their furry pets here. It is so rare when people actually get to witness animals getting mistreated in the grooming places but when they do I feel they should always exploit them, because why would I want your pet to suffer the same pain my little one did. So I pray that you think twice and do the right thing. For the business, I hope you address the situation with your employee and take action. And I hope that you care more for the pets that come through your door, they may not have the ability to talk and tells us what happens to them but I hope you do the morale thing and treat them with the respect and care they deserve. They may not be you're children or your family but they are to their owners. And for the owner "Patty T" please do not try to justify your employees actions, how about you stop justifying the horrible services you provide and start addressing them head on. I've read your responses and you do not take the proper blame and accept that your employees were in the wrong when clear evidence has proven so.
