There's multiple moving parts, often time constraints, and it's not something I found myself looking forward to taking care of. However, Stefan made my experience seamless and actually...enjoyable. I initially reserved the last unit of the size I'm looking for online and was planning to book by phone. However when it got down to paying, I realized I needed to see where it was on the property before agreeing. After all, I'm small and going to be handling a storage unit myself and I need it to be accessible for me. I decided to go in the next day instead, though they couldn't promise me the space would still be held. When I arrived there was a sign on the door that the onsite contact was in the facility and to call. Full transparency, I rolled my eyes and dialed the number, thinking I'd be waiting awhile. Stefan answered and came right back to the office. He walked me to the unit and I agreed to reserving it. He was thoughtful in the way he explained everything, patient with my questions (and re-asking the same questions to clarify), and seemed genuinely happy to help. He gave me warnings about potential markups as all storage unit facilities end up doing, and shared with me the best times of day to visit the property. This originally was a great storage facility up until today…read more Be careful to look thoroughly thru the sign up paperwork at initial move in day, and if you ever switch to a larger or smaller unit. "John" was initially helpful upon move in, however if a mistake is made on your contract - it very quickly becomes a "his word" vs "your word" conversation that is handled very unprofessionally. "John" does not like being called Jonathan and will speak over you disrespectfully with no intent to resolve the issue at hand and a "my way or the high way" attitude without any effort to reach out to his oversight to communicate the concern of a fee that was all because of a miscommunication until he feels the conversation is over and hangs up on you. The entire experience felt like a middle school argument trying to get a teenager to calm down on the other end of the phone that I hope the calls are recorded so his management team can see how unprofessional the call went. From a business perspective, it's a quick and easy way to lose money and long term buyers because if I wasn't moving out today, I would have still removed my items from this facility and relocated based on how horrible this business is run for such a simple business model to keep people in their units.

Even with a delay in getting back to them into the new month, I had the boat off the lot by the first of the month and they were understanding and didn't charge me just because they could. I understand the turn of property but Stacey is unable to assist me due to upper's management (Corporate) coming today and there's stuff she has to do before they get there. After Andrew had given the okay to clear unit. Ms. Rewis if I'm not mistaken is the DM told me I can clean it and she's been assisting me on trying to get you in as a resident. Stacy is not allowing me to even after DM instructed her that I can assist with cleaning out your own unit to move in!! Stacy mentioned to Andrew that my vacation was coming to an end and needed to transfer unit prior to going back to work. Andrew and Ms. Rewis approved items to be moved out into a unit that they have to reach out to a vendor. If I am assisting on the process and was approved by management, I didn't see an issue. I understand they are going through a takeover as I am a Property Manager myself. The answer given to me was we don't know when they can get to it and I can go to another property. Ridiculous. This property is convenient for me. This is actually ridiculous that a takeover property should have had all units trash out if declared the management and/or abandoned. Hopefully this gets to someone that can handle as quick as possible.

I just did this move 3 months in February, now they are jumping my rent for June. Loyalty is no longer rewarded. In June, my rent will be $214.78 per month for my unit, but I can move to another unit; same size; same facility, and pay $115 per month. Looks like I'll be moving to another unit in a couple weeks, but I'll be on the look out for a completely new facility in the meantime.
