i am a parent who has my son at yucca elementary and let me tell you it is a bad experience. the principal doesn't do anything she is lazy and talks down to you. she thinks she is above everyone. my child was severely bullied in class and she said "well thats the teachers job to handle it go talk to the teacher" i have talked to them and the teacher has said that the administration does not back her up. if she tries to reprimand the bullies they are sent back to class and not given detention or anything at all. if the bullies arnt punished they have nothing to fear and continue. the teacher has also told me she almost lost her job for trying to reprimand the bullies because "she cannot control the class and is doing something wrong". she is not these childrens parent. it is not her fault. it is the responsibility of the principal to support the teachers when they reprimand the kids otherwise the kids have no fear and continue on. instead she blames the teacher and says she is ineffective and threatens her job for attempting to reprimand them leaving me with a bullied child. mrs.egbert needs to find peace with god and quit her job cuz that lazy c*** does not know what she is doing or talking about! I am not sure what crackhouse they found this demented woman from but she needs to go. read more

I am beyond disgusted and shocked that Timothy C Barker is the director of Human Resources. He is violent and salacious. My younger brother had him as a fifth grade teacher and he would come home crying, telling me that his teacher Mr.Barker would yell violently and constantly slam, throw, and yell in kids faces. He forcefully threw a baseball at his entire class because they had their fingers on the fence. Once, Timothy Barker was on the phone and became so annoyed with his class that he slammed a ruler against the board and yelled "Im on the phone". He would also only ask the boys to stay after class and ask all the girls to leave. He disciplined a boy by making him put his nose against a brick wall yelling "nose to the wall Mr.Martinez". He also left his wife a few years after for another man and fled to San Francisco. Interestingly enough, he returned years later to Palmdale back with his wife. I guess they hired him because nobody with actual standards would want to live or work in Palmdale so he was the next best option since he doesn't mind living there. read more

My son is now in 8th grade suffering the same bullies. His clothes and hair have Been cut up ,physicly assaulted daily. He is on on a mental health hold for suicide attempt #2. 1st grade he broke his arm n the playground then was cursed at by the attendant before receiving help. 5th grade he was stabbed thru the hand with a sharpened pencil. He was isolated in detention with his abuser and shamed from crying 8th grade just yesterday he was beaten up by 3 students who stole his bike and wallet. He worked hard to earn the money in his wallet. School staff witnessed this. My son stated. What's wrong with me? They will never stop hurting me I wanna die. School staff called police on my son who is now involuntarily institutionalized. Staff allowed the same bullies of 8 years to ride off on my sons bike with my sons wallet. My son is utterly defeated and broken . The school blamed my son for being to "weak" no matter how they shift the blame,this is lifelong trauma my poor baby boy suffers from this school district. read more

Yucca Elementary is a complete farce along with mrs.egbert and mr.camacho. They are lazy and as unprofessional as they come. mrs.egbert is not interested in the students or parents at all and is a racist. I had the unfortunate opportunity to hear it myself. She was overtalking with another first grade teacher about how she got into a fight with her daughter in law over Facebook ( b**** as she said) about how african americans are treated unfairly by the police. She said that Trayvon Martin and Micheal brown must have done something wrong like all of them (african americans) do and that is why they were murdered and that all african americans do not know how to behave properly. She said her daughter in law was "stupid" for defending them. how could the principal of a school full of minority children that come from a poor background say such a thing. you can only imagine how much effort and care she puts into the school. i am happy to be moving to santa clarita with my son away from this ignorant disgusting harlot. read more

Extremely disturbed by the school boards handling of the teacher ( yes, people there to educate kids) joke posted on Facebook with a noose in May 2019. These teachers got a mere slap on the hand. To be that culturally unaware and ignorant is pretty hard to believe. When they take their training, maybe they should also look at the suicide rate in this country. Nothing here is funny.
