I had never received a single bill, letter, or phone call prior to this. No warning--just a voicemail threatening collections. When I called to resolve the issue, they told me there had been an error with billing my insurance. I had spoken with them last June about this exact issue and never heard anything back, so I assumed it had been resolved. I asked them to rebill the insurance, and they said no--because it was now past the statute of limitations to bill the insurance company. When I asked why I was never told this, they claimed they had mailed me five letters. I never received any of them. When I said that, they basically accused me of lying. The representative I spoke to was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. There was no empathy, no accountability, and no willingness to help resolve the issue fairly. It was clear they just wanted to shift blame and be done with it. What's worse is that after reading other reviews, it seems like this kind of billing nightmare is a common issue at this place. Clearly, there's a serious problem with their billing department and overall management. It's a shame because the doctors themselves are great--but the front office and billing staff are awful. Every time I've visited the office, I've encountered rude, unhelpful staff who act like they don't even want to be there. I absolutely do not recommend Direct Orthopedic Care. Unless you want to deal with surprise bills, rude staff, and an office that refuses to take responsibility for their own mistakes--go elsewhere.

I have a rare condition that requires a Physical Therapist who has advanced training and knowledge, so the receptionist had me speak directly to the owner, Dr. Reid Patterson. He was so generous with his time and his knowledge, setting my worried mind at ease about receiving the specialized care my weird body requires. I've been injured several times by PT's who were unaware and undereducated about my condition, so I'm pretty careful when choosing a PT. Dr. Patterson assured me that there are practitioners at his clinic who completely understand the needs of patients with my condition. I'm looking forward to feeling better and having more strength and less pain!

Because I was a late appointment in the day, there was never a receptionist there. I asked explicitly twice and indirectly another time about how I could pay and was left without answers. Finally when insurance started sending through claims after my 10th session, I realized that I would owe $60 per session. I think it is completely unethical to have someone come in without telling them what they owe, especially when they are asking. In addition, one of the therapists was billed as out of network when they are meant to be in network. The manager of the meridian office was kind enough to "just charge me my copay" instead of the $200 my insurance said I would likely owe per visit. He said this was taking a big hit for them, when I know their out of pocket cost is $70, so just $10 less. Like I said, the people and the service was good, but I cannot believe this practice that left me with a $660 bill when I had been asking to pay.

Both injuries were different, but I knew I wanted the same trusted surgeon. Dr. Gustavel's expertise and the long-term success of my first surgery gave me complete confidence. The staff were amazing--professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful. They went above and beyond to help shore up a few things before surgery, making the entire process smooth and stress-free. The anesthesia team at Treasure Valley Hospital was also fantastic--everything was on point, and I felt completely at ease throughout the experience. It is was so worth it. My Reno doctors all stay they have never seen such awesome work. My recovery was so short that the Reno doctors were amazed and never seen such quick and no swelling in all there years of practice. THANK YOU for making this so easy. I had a second knee surgery and the results were better than the first. Don't know how that could be possible but he is a miracle worker. Wow
