Recently we hired David Adams as our contractor to have some under decking installed on the lake side of our house. David showed up day 1 with his subcontractor and he showed up again to pick up his check. Worked seemed fine initially looking at the finished product . However, some issues began arising a month or two after completion. We tried contacting David multiple times so he could have his guys come by and fix some issues where the under decking was coming apart. There has been no follow up from David so we certainly wouldn't recommend his services to anyone that doesn't stand behind what they build. Rhett Corley read more

We had them build a deck on our front porch. It was poor workmanship - exposed nails, inaccurate cuts, peeled up boards. They used two different types of wood, so when we went to stain in, it was two different colors. We paid them almost $7k and I regret it. read more

This spring we had a new deck installed by Palmetto Enclosure. The contractor was courteous, and professional. The finished project was beautiful, however, over the course of the next couple of months, we did find a couple of areas that needed to be addressed. We called for the contractor to take a look at the small snafus. Jade came out promptly to review the concerns and within the week the concerns were corrected to our full satisfaction. We had our 54x12 porch screened in by Palmettos enclosure. Originally the estimate included: 2 day completion, and that the tops and bottoms on crown molding would be notched so it looks like it was built with the house (outdoor plastic "wood"). Our request was that we wanted the railing ledge to be on the inside of the porch which was the opposite of common practice but was assured the company could deliver. The company said the ledge would be 3 inches wide (to us, this is perfect for drinks to rest on for parties and in-line with original goal of inside ledge). After 6 days, 1-2 hour off site lunch breaks, poor communication by crew and management, no notching on any crown molding, 2 inch ledges on inside rail, and one screen door redo...we finally have a screened in porch. Multiple concerns throughout the project were bullied by the owners daughter and met with multiple excuses on "industry standard" for things she promised but her crew could not deliver. Now we are left with refinishing the top and bottom of 12 crown molding posts that the crew removed instead of notching and no repairs made. Having been in several aluminum framed screened in porches around the lake, ours is less than industry standard from my point. Do we have a screened in porch...yes. Is it less than our expectations of professional craftsmanship promised...yes. read more
