Great times with friends out on the tubing experience in West Columbia! The bus driver took us out to the launch area, easy check in to grab tubs and life jackets & easy transition into the water! Took us a bit over 3 hours to get back to the start position. Would definitely recommend to anyone during the summer months and will be back to do it again!

It was a great family experience. Staff were friendly and helpful. The shuttle came right on time and there was plenty of free parking and bathrooms. The river was beautiful just remember your sunscreen, water, and bug spray. Thanks again and I will be back again.

This is the area where you tube. The elbow is the slow and easy part followed by rapids. There are 2 bridges, the second one is the exit.

Although it appears empty, Cope is NOT a ghost town. The 2018 population count was only 73 folks,…read morebut they would feel pretty darn bad if they were considered its ghostly residents. After reading that its old, mostly empty buildings make this a charming town to photograph, we made the trek off I-95 and made a slow drive through. Give yourself more time than we did to truly feel its charm, its history, its very-small-town pride, and tell your friends to make the trip also and maybe stop in to the Depot, or just say howdy, if you do see anyone (we did). The "Bank of Cope" has pictures of folks from years ago painted on its exterior walls, showing the laid back version of this town, "back in the day"; there is a building owned by and called Vallentines (plus a couple of others that the family owns) which is very well maintained, the railroad depot looks now like it did when Cope had way more than its present population. Bring your camera, bring your friendliness, appreciate the countryside as you pass through it, as well as the grit of the few folks left here in Cope, and, whatever you do, make sure your car has a full tank of gas because you'll be hard-pressed to find a working gas station for miles and miles (again, as we did). The pictures we took (some of which are edited for effect) were of as many buildings as we had the time to access, and it was a special experience to see this tiny, not-deserted, non-ghost town.

Darby Safari went so above and beyond our expectations. We love zoos, but this was so much more…read morethan just staring at a bunch of animals behind bars - instead we had multiple opportunities to get up close, touch and feed the animals. In addition, some free range friends walked along with us humans on the tour and literally wanted to eat out of our hands. Our guides, Maddie and Shane, were fantastic! Extremely knowledgeable about the animals, and excellent at making sure everyone in the fairly sizable tour group had an opportunity to see or feed each animal they introduced. We bought the "Kit and Kaboodle" package which was so incredibly worth it! Some zoos allow you a "personal encounter" with one species, or by holding up an animal and letting you pet it,... but in the encounter room, Maddie and Shane spent an hour or more introducing us to at least 10 animals, all different species, in very interactive ways. We held armadillos, hand wrestled a mongoose, let a tiny monkey jump from shoulder to shoulder between us eating Fruit Loops, fed and high-fived otters, and so much more. I truly can't say enough about how happy we are that we included Darby Safari in our first ever trip to Charlotte!

My favorite part was doing the capybara encounter and spending a little extra time with them. I'd highly recommend this for anyone who loves animals.
