We rented this 2 bedroom, 2 bath garden villa condominium, online. It was everything we hoped for. It was a spacious and furnished condo, with a living room, dining area, fully-equipped kitchen, 2 full bath rooms, washer & dryer, and a lanai/patio on two sides with a BBQ and plenty of patio furniture. It was located on a beautifully landscaped area, which you might call a garden view. Ours was on the ground floor (#1901). The pool was lovely and well maintained and had a hot tub. It was very clean and well maintained and had plenty of towels, beach mats, beach towels, and kitchen cabinets full of what you might need to cook and eat. Our condo came with "free parking with a designated parking place" right next to our unit. Our particular unit was air-conditioned, at no extra cost. (Although I understand that not all condos in this complex include air conditioning.) Be sure to note that, in addition to the nightly rate, there are taxes, a cleaning fee, and a resort fee, that are added at the end of your order, before you give the credit card. The complex office was very helpful. They were responsive when I called. I called even before arriving in Hawaii, and they answered my questions about checkin. The beautiful Wailea Beach, with gorgeous adjacent hotels (like Fairmont Kea Lani) , restaurants, and a lovely shopping mall, are literally a few minutes from this condo complex. Wailea Beach has public access. We would definitely rent a condo in this complex again, when I return to Maui! We highly recommend "Palms at Wailea Maui by Outrigger" and their management.

I was very clear with K.I. when she walked past my car and introduced herself as a neighbor who simply wanted to meet more of her neighbors. I explained that a neighbor had accidentally knocked my bumper off when he was backing out of his parking area in His new wider and longer truck. Everything looked fine when I checked in, but after my first night I woke up with my entire back covered in painful, swollen bites. I had never experienced bed bugs before, so at first I didn't understand what was happening. The second night, I slept in the living room with different pillows, hoping it was just an allergy. Instead, I woke up in the middle of the night from intense burning and pain. The bites spread to my arms, legs, face, stomach, hands -- everywhere. The swelling and irritation were severe and extremely painful. I could not sleep at all. I messaged the owners immediately in the middle of the night telling them I couldn't stay there anymore. They only replied the next morning asking for "proof." I sent photos showing my skin covered in huge swollen red bites, but they answered very slowly and didn't offer any help. They told me they had no other unit to move me to and offered only a refund for the remaining days. Considering the state I was in, this was unacceptable. They didn't truly take me seriously until Pest Control arrived. When the Pest Control workers saw my skin, they were visibly shocked, and they confirmed bed bugs in the bed. Only after their confirmation did the owners agree to issue a full refund. Despite how severe my situation was, there was no apology, no sympathy, no support, not even a phone call. Instead, they told me that I had to leave immediately and that I would only receive the refund once I checked out. I explained that I needed time to wash my belongings so I wouldn't take their bed bugs with me. I had to throw away multiple personal items and urgently book another place to stay. The following days of my trip were ruined. I spent 5-6 days treating painful, swollen bites that made it almost impossible to sleep. What was supposed to be my long-awaited vacation turned into stress, pain, and unexpected expenses -- all because of an infestation that clearly didn't start overnight. The number of bites I received makes it obvious that this issue was ongoing for a long time and not properly addressed. Bed bugs do not appear in such quantities in just a day or two. This tells me the unit hadn't been properly cleaned or treated for months. If you don't want your vacation ruined, your body covered in painful bites, and your health and belongings put at risk, avoid this unit and be extremely careful with this property. The way the owners handled (or rather ignored) the situation was completely unacceptable.

We shopped for over 9 months to find a unit that met our criteria! This one hit all the checkboxes such as a quiet complex, close proximity to the beach, on-site security and management, and a pool! The units are quite spacious and each one has two bathrooms! We ended up purchasing a 3 bedroom / 2 bathroom unit, and we fell in love with the layout, natural light, and complex. The neighbors are all incredibly friendly too! While we were doing some renovations, we frequently had neighbors lend us tools or even offer to help! There are lots of young families and it feels very safe! We're a young couple who will be long-term renting our unit for a little while until we get our lives back home ready for a move to the island to be with extended family who live in Kihei. We can't wait! We are also quite impressed by the HOA management thus far! It's a new board with new management. Special shoutout to Kate for all of her wonderful work as the on-site manager! Thank you for all that you do! It's clear that this complex has made a real effort to invest in the buildings, landscaping, and community. They also no longer allow short-term rentals which makes it extra quiet! All of the old reviews from 2010-2018 really don't do the complex justice. It's dramatically different from what it was a long time ago! The new security guards are great! Shout out to Richard. He is friendly and takes real care in making sure people feel safe.

So let me say--OMGosh--These are NICE! .Wailea Point Village Condos are nestled btwn the Fairmont Hotel and the Grand Wailea Hotel. (more about that later) You can walk down towards beach path/beaches (unlocked gate, and a shower right inside the gate). The GREAT beach path that is only 3.5 miles (round trip). We ran it every morning. Random people can't just walk in, as they seem to monitor the beach gate & someone actually drove up one time to ask me (in a very nice way) "how" I like my visit and what condo I was staying in. Was kind of annoyed, but at least I know, it's SAFE. Has a very nice gym- you might have to turn on AC (remote on wall by far door) and fans (remote by front door), if you are the only one in there, like us. Though, you need to be guest at WPV to use. TAN TIME--if you walk to beach--there is a grass short-cut you can take, ask any of the grounds keepers where it is- (Fairmont side), you can take your towels and lay out with the hotel guests on the same beach. If you have an "WPV owners card", just go to the little pool circle building & show it to them. They'll set up a chair and umbrella for you. Tip the cabana boys. They gotta eat, too. Or if you wake up late, like us, just walk up to an empty chair/umbrella and casually set up camp. Bring white towels to "blend" in. :) POOL TIME- Usually empty. There is a kiddie pool, and a lap pool, for you swimmer types. You'll find the ping pong tables over there, too.

I researched for a good…read moreeight months to find something perfect for our family that included separate bedrooms, was remodeled and spacious, not far from the beach (Kam 3), and a nice view. Well, we got all of those things! I booked through VRBO and was very satisfied with our stay while in Maui. We encountered a few problems including the dryer quitting, and the condo being in the midst of exterior painting, but the owners made things right. They comped us over a nights worth for the inconvenience of having painters on the lanai and up around the windows. Also, a new washer/dryer unit was installed within three days. They had quick responses back to any and all of our questions. The condo was beautifully remodeled with all new kitchen appliances and nice bedding. It was kept very clean. I especially love that instead of the vaulted open ceilings, they chose to drywall them off for extra privacy. A/C was in the master bedroom as well as the main living space (which is right next to the second bedroom). New ceiling fans were in every room including bathrooms. Lanai was large and covered, but still had great views in all directions. I miss sitting out there and enjoying our meals already! The pool area was always clean and organized and had two BBQ areas with gas grills. Ample seating with tables were also provided. This condo was located at the beginning of Kam lll, which is close to walk to all the beaches, restaurants, shops and ABC ect. in the area. My research paid off and I can't wait to come back and stay here again. I just hope not too many people find this unit! I debated writing a review based on that.

We knew from the internet that a two bedroom unit, truly on the water, would be tiny...and probably cost a fortune. We started by wandering into Open Houses, and sure enough, someone scooped us up and we almost got stuck with a 900sf condo, overlooking a busy pool, with a so-so ocean view, and a frightening price!! We escaped! That escape was managed by virtue of our good fortune in encountering Tim O'Conner. Still wandering, we stumbled into an Open House he was holding on a two bedroom, two bath corner unit condo so ocean-front that, from its upper floor, the blue from every window made our eyes ache! My first words were "I could live here!".....and we were only looking for a rental property. Unfortunately, the condo turned out to be a fractional with only two of the four fractions on the market. This didn't deter Mr. O'Connor in the slightest. In ways we will never understand, he talked the non-sellers into selling, the sellers into negotiating, and us into a dream of a condo! Seventy feet from the water's edge, for far less than the price of our near escape, and twice as large, we not only found the impossible, but made a friend in the bargain! Tim O'Connor is tireless in his energy, brilliant in his knowledge of the real estate industry, and unparalleled in his ability to make impossible dreams come true. I'd recommend others actually go to Berkshire Hathaway and ask for Tim O'Conner....don't leave it to dumb blind luck!
