They are washed prior to sewing, however per co website the products may have signs of hard sailing and previous life on the ocean or lake. The company advised that they believe all these facets speak to the authenticity of the recycled sail products and make each bag wholly unique. These bags are definitely not cheap however you can feel the quality. We were greeted upon entering and the lady working was so nice. The bags were a bit out of the pricing point I was looking for and not really in the market for one at this time but definitely adding to my wish list :) My daughter found a bracelet which was nice and pictured here. This is a cute little shop at fisherman's Village we walked by and I seen a t- shirt in the window…read morethat said. (The smell is not coming from me it's coming from my daddy) I had to go back in and get that tee shirt for my 2 year old grandson. The lady inside was very friendly and I picked out the color for the shirt and she pressed on the transfer. There was a lot of local shirts also that were on hanging racks. Great place to get those souvenirs t-shirts.
