It was well-stocked and clean and bright. The prices were reasonable and considering their stock, there was a lot of value here. You can find almost anything your heart desires. We just bought a small bag of clips, but when we got to the checkout, they were very friendly and helpful. The checkout person smiled and told us all about their reward system and when we had questions she cheerfully answered them. If you have not gone there, then you owe it to your self to check them out. We will be back!

The swim suits are fully lined, quality materials, The colors won't wash out, the bra cups won't twist around or bunch up. This is the first time in Florida I found a superior swimsuit! and I've shopped a lot these last 8 years. The staff is very willing to help to get me another size while I'm in the changing room. While I was in FL I figured I should look for a new one, since the selection in that sunny state was sure to beat that to be found in my home state of IL, where it will be snowing in approximately 2 months. Because this store is in Fisherman's Village (read: tourist stop) you're probably going to pay top price for a bathing suit here. It's also a fairly small and crowded shop, which makes it a bit hard to dig through racks in some parts. (also the dressing rooms are close and HOT!) That said, I found a super cute bathing suit (retro-looking 2-piece) here. Could I have found a cheaper one at a department store if I looked on sale? Maybe. But I believe in "I found something I like and it fits and looks good, so I am going to buy it now while I see it, because it probably won't be here when I come back" (it's happened too often!) I save time, gas and heartbreak over a few sale dollars. And in this case, I live in another state, so it's a little hard to check back! Just make sure in this case that you DO like it and it fits, b/c FL law prohibits the returning of bathing suits. The lady running the shop was really chill and nice. Anyway, if you're in Fisherman's Village, stop into Island Fever and see if they've got a cure for your swimsuit fever. They cured mine!

Checkout is smooth--there always seem to be plenty of registers open, so lines move quickly. Inventory appears to be refreshed often; I've been in at least three times already and consistently find new items each visit. They also have solid clearance sections with some really good finds. The staff is friendly, outgoing, and helpful, which makes the shopping experience even better. Definitely a strong addition to the area.

All turned out perfectly and were finished on time within budget. His shop is adorable, clean, and quaint (once you get inside) it is like a trip down memory lane of the diving experience that he had earlier in his career - he even has his original dive suit and helmet on display! It's a little challenging to get to and the outside is a little older looking, but don't let that deter you, you wouldn't want to pay for an expensive locations overhead! You can buy your Fedora hat or any other type of Tommy Bahama type hat you are interested in for the beach :-) Dale carries a ton of shoe maintenance products as well as orthotics and shoe inserts - for shoes, if you need it, he probably has it! Dales smile and kind demeanor is welcoming and he exhibits the kind of customer service you don't see a lot anymore. He stays late when I tell him I can't make it there by five so that I can pick up my items and his work is quality and reasonable. I truly recommend this cute little repair shoppe!!
