Great spot right off the Gulf of Mexico in Punta Gorda FL. Older locals crowd mixed in with tourists and young families. Fisherman's Village is nestled between a resort styled hotel right on the water. Filled with coastal styled boutique shops and a couple restaurants sprinkled in you'll have a nice time strolling along the boardwalk with views of the ocean on each side. Super cute way to catch a sunset and some drinks. Be sure to check out their brewery style restaurant and Tiki Bar. The older staff on site are very friendly. Would love to visit again. read more

I still love Fisherman's Village and it's been some time since I visited. When we visited was after Xmas, but I am still thinking about all things Xmas. It was a nice surprise to see how decked up Fisherman's Village is. Def a place to get into the Christmas spirit. So many decorations and fun photo ops everywhere. We walk throughout the area, the have lots of shops, cafe, ice cream and restaurants and a tiki bar. You can also take a sunset boat tour. They also have nice water views. This is def a great place to visit for all and especially at Xmas. A new restaurant is opening the second week of January 2026 too towards the very end after all the shops. Just keep on walking. This is also dog friendly so we are happy to walk our dog here. Half is shaded half not and there is plenty of free parking in the lot next to it. 4 stars bc prices can def be tourist prices. read more

Great Xmas Decor and Photo Op's We try to make a trip to Fisherman's Village every Christmas time to see their lights and decorations. They do an excellent job. We walk around for a bit, get some dinner, walk some more, get a drink, then head home. It's free, it's fun, and offers some great photo opportunities. Go visit. read more

This was a charming little Harbor spot to visit while we spent time w family who live in the area. We didn't know any different but there were still quite a few places that had not recovered from the last big hurricane damage. There were your standard gift shops, ice cream shops, bars and a few eateries. We did stop into Harborside Coffee & Creamery and enjoyed some treats while we sat and hung out looking at the boats on the water. I believe there are mini Harbor Cruises you can do that leave from here. We didn't have time for that but it would have been a fun option. Nice place to walk to and check out with family or friends. read more

The businesses are cute the water and marina amazing. We waited almost an hour at Island Kitchen and Cocktails when it was supposed to be 20 minutes. We overheard the hostesses saying the 3 4 top tables should be saved for a party of 4, we only had two...so here we sit from 1:30 no food and it's almost 3 and we are going to eat dinner with friends at 6 so lunch turned to a bowl of soup. Too bad for this place because we were hungry...We will never come back to this restaurant but we always come to fisherman's village. They were also taking other people before us in larger parties There are cruises you can take at the marina. Parking is sparse but we drove around for 20 minutes and got a lovely one. read more

This property does not meet the standards of a resort. It was not disclosed at the time of booking that it was under major construction. If that were disclosed I would've have never made reservations here. The noise was horrible. Also, the dry beach concept was misleading. No access to the water. Furthermore I booked a waterfront/oceanview and was only given a side view which only had a view of a dumpster for the construction. My balcony had no chairs. The pool had mold was extremely dirty and looked like a pool from a motel from the 70s. Pool located next to parking lot where everyone can see. The pool and the tiki bar were on opposite sides of the resort. No beach towels. Had to buy my own. read more

You Gotta love for * Fishermen's Village. It's right on peace River. Lots of adorable shops from spices olive oil, pet store two women's clothing even a game shop. I have to go here just for the ambience and walk-through. It's beautiful day and night. Definitely a highlight of good old fashion Punta Gorda. read more

We stopped here to check things out on a Friday afternoon, and it was lively with plenty of people walking around the shops and enjoying lunch. It's definitely a complete tourist trap, but the vibe is fun, and you won't leave empty-handed. What a unique marketplace! Shopping for everyone and everything. We went to Fishermen's Village to grab a bite to eat but ended up strolling through this fantastic shopping area with its boutiques, and many eating choices. We really love the Sunset Beach club. The Tiki bar was taken out by recent Hurricanes and they have brought in a Temp Trailer to continue alcohol sales. Great place to enjoy a sunset! read more

Fisherman's Village 11-29-24 I just love this place. Easy to get in and out, easy to park and easy to walk around. This place has a little bit or everything for everyone. There is a beach with a great sunsets and beach bar. ( As of now the bar is closed due to Hurricane damage but there is a Trailer selling cold beverages right on the beach.) They have live music at times on the beach stage. They even have a beach church service early most Sunday mornings. There are plenty of places to eat and most have outside seating or a Tiki Bar Style seating. My favorite place is Harpoon Harry's overlooking the harbor. You can take a Sunset Cruise and during the Holidays take a Christmas Light Cruise right out of the Village. Plenty of places to shop and browse if you like. If you want to extend your stay you can rent room at The Suites at Fishermen's Village which overlook the village on the 2nd floor. I love going this time of year as its all decorated for the Holidays and will get you in the Christmas sprit fast. Everyone needs to stop by here and spend a couple hours you will not be sorry. Santa and the Grinch made an appearance at Fisherman's Village to officially kick off the pre-Christmas festivities and the lighting of the village. Of course there was a large crowd, lots of kids waiting to get a glimpse of that jolly white bearded man in red. I have to say this was my first experience at these festivities in Punta Gorda's shopping mall. Very nicely done and you could tell that everyone was pumped up for the official lighting. read more

This is a nice area to dine and shop around the water in Punta Gorda. Free parking available also. There are some really cute shops here that made me spend too much lol. There are also some dining places with some lovely views overlooking the water. What is very nice about strolling through here is that the area is covered and open area, allowing for a nice breeze from the water. This is a bit touristy but well done. A couple of decent food and beverage options, a sandy play area for the kids on a small beach and a bunch of the usual stores. They also added a new "Sunset Beach Club Tiki Bar" near the sandy beach so you can grab a refresher while the kids play nearby. The shops flank a large central walkway - leading to Harpoon Harry's at the end of the pier. Clothing, gifts, ice cream, coffee and a terrific tea&spice shop offer something for everyone. And the Maritime Military Museum is just next door. Great for a visit if you're in the area! read more

Angelica seemed very busy and did a good job but when we ordered 2 Irish coffees they finally came she said sorry the coffee was so hot it melted the whipped cream! Please don't lie to the over 60 group because we know better. The coffee was barely lukewarm which meant it sat before you served it to us. You did receive better than20% but would have received better if you didn't lie. Own up please. read more

Loved Fisherman's Village it has a huge parking and I seen a sign that said valet parking. We were lucky someone was pulling out and they were close. I seen a couple of golf carts so apparently they will pick you up if you're far away. There located right on the water so there are sunset tours and fishing tours. Fisherman's Village was a long shopping area with all kinds of shops from high-end clothing, jewelry and local fines. Cute t-shirt shops. Ice cream-candy shops and sandwiches. Also restaurant Scotty Brewhouse and Harpoon Harry's at the very end where you can catch a sunset. We were there right after Christmas and it was so cute with all the lights and Christmas decorations. There was all these little venues for photo Memories. read more

We went to the village fish market for dinner after hearing it was yummy. I could not have been more disappointed! There was a small wait, which is no big deal. Once we were seated we were greeted by a nice server, off to a good start! We ordered quickly and thought we were off on a good evening. I ordered a glass of wine, which didn't arrive until after our meals were served. And it was the wrong wine at that that. We ordered calamari and when it came were sad at that choice. It was chewy and the cause it came with was so acid tasting it was inedible. For dinner two of us ordered the fish and chips ( a best seller, according to their menu), one crab cake blt and one lobster Mac and cheese. The fish and chips were gross. Undercooked and somehow chewy fish and like 7 fries. The crab cake blt was missing tomato and the lettuce was so wilted it didn't count as lettuce anymore. And the lobster Mac and cheese had a broken sauce. There are other restaurants within the village. I'd try any of them over this place! read more

I love coming up to this location - so much to see and experience, even if you're not shopping. Walking along the area with the shops is a real treat. So many different stores to stop in, browse around, and find unique items. There is some renovation going on currently, but don't let that deter you. Still a fun place to spend an afternoon. After you've had your fill of shopping, walk out to the actual dock and pier. So much to see! There is a water cruise available (departing at different times, with some in the evening) or you can sit on a bench, listen and take in the wonder of the water and the multiple boats docked here. Fisherman's Village is an complex with shops and restaurants located on Charlotte Harbor. It takes it's name from the history of the area. In the 1800's there was a pier here used to transport ice by railroad to the Charlotte Shrimp Fleet. Later on the dock held the King Street Pier with fish packing houses and plants which were integral to the economy at that time. As the fishing industry faded away the dock became the Barron Bridge which is now the Gilchrist Bridge. The Maud Street Docks replaced the old pier and the packing houses were reestablished. Originally there were seven companies operating plants on the pier but by the 1930's there were just two, the Punta Gorda Fish Co. and the West Coast Fish Co. In 1939 a fire destroyed the plants and the West Coast Fish Co ended it's business while the Punta Gorda Fish Co. continued on but on a much smaller scale. In the 40's a small crab packing plant was added to the pier. Eventually the docks and buildings fell into disrepair. In 1979 Earl Nightingale, a well-know radio commentator, found this pier in ruins and wanted to start a restaurant. Don Donelson, a local developer saw the potential in Nightingale's plan and wanted to take it further by adding a mall, places to stay, and a marina. In 1980, Fishermen's Village was constructed containing waterfront shopping, dining, a resort and marina, fishing charters, Charlotte Harbor boating excursions, boat rentals, 47 villa vacation rentals, a military heritage museum, live entertainment and special events. They have valet parking and free self parking. Today Earl Nightingale's restaurant is the Captains Table. Other waterfront restaurants include the Village Fish Market, Harpoon Harry's, the Village Brewhouse, andthe Pier at Fisherman's Village. The complex contains the mix of places to eat and shop that tourists like. There is an ice cream and candy shop, and stores selling soap, Crocs, care items, jewelry, novelties, coastal gifts and home decor, art, tea, olive oil, stained glass, yard decorations, beach sundries, and clothing stores. I looked at some of the prices on things and they were affordable but on the higher end except for certain sale items. If you need a gift for someone or even yourself it is a fun place to browse. You can also book harbor tours and fishing and boat rentals. Shops are open everyday from 10 to 6 except for Sundays when they are open from 12 to 6. read more
