Each class has 3 main teachers + floating teachers, who all care for the kids with kindness and empathy. The campus' location in the Presidio creates an idyllic and beautiful environment for the kids - they go outside to explore nature every morning and we get sent daily pictures and videos of their adventures. We love the Mandarin immersion aspect, and our son is fully bilingual thanks to the teachers' efforts. Sarra, the director of Little Bee, runs a tight and efficient ship. The involved PTA organizes many community events, such as monthly playdates, Easter Egg Hunts, an annual Camp Out, Pumpkin Picking, Santa's Brunch, parents' nights out and more across the Funston and Lombard locations. Beyond just a preschool, this is also a supportive, caring, welcoming community of families and we have met many wonderful friends through Little Bee.

In addition to being phenomenally prepared to start grade school, he loved the eye dropping rooftop playground and all of the friends he met there. I asked him this past weekend whether he misses Calvary because he is so happy at his new school. He responded that he still misses Calvary because of how much he loves his teachers and all of the friends that he made there. As an added bonus, my wife and I met some of our best friends through Calvary. Lastly, Stephanie and the other staff at Calvary provided the perfect level of support and guidance to help us find the best grade school for our son. We started her at another school and for a month we went through tears (hers and mine), the shrill "mommy mommy mommy" and even nightmares. We assumed this was one of the growing pains that comes when your child starts school. Then we got a call from MCC that they could get her in (off the wait list). MCC was significantly more convenient to our home and was our preferred school so we made the leap. Within days the nightmares stopped, the "mommy mommy" lessened and the crying significantly subsided. Now she actually LIKES going to school and there are days we have to drag her out of there at night saying "Okay, the school is now closing, you have to come home". I think what worked for our kid was that there were more adults to children than her previous school, it's small enough for a kid not to feel overwhelmed, and the teachers are amazing and loving. Since our enrollment several months ago, we feel like we have been welcomed into a family. One that's been around the neighborhood for a long long time, one that cares about the kids and the parents, and one that our child is very comfortable in. Now if only MCC could make my child a morning person so the 7am wakeups are a little more smooth... Thanks MCC!

Both of my kids have attended Kids Club and it has been an amazing experience. Joanne makes each day fun and exciting. I am amazed each day by all the clever activities she comes up with for the kids that build on social, emotional, and fine motor skills. My daughter who is now in first grade and attended Kids Club for preschool was more than prepared to start kindergarten thanks to the loving and strong foundation we found here. She still says she misses it. It is also very affordable in comparison to other preschools in the area. I haven't met one family who wasn't happy here. We are all sad when our time is up. The classes are small(12 max) and both my kids thrived in the mixed ages environment- learning and interacting with kids both younger and older.
