I had five days two days consumed completely by travel so three days in Ridgecrest to lay my father to rest and clear out his apartment. I did the best that I could with the time that I had available to me. I was contacted just yesterday by a real estate agent. She said she was just a real estate agent, and that she was calling on behalf of the owner of the company. She asked me questions about my father's apartment. I told her it was cleared out the best that I could with the time that I had and that the apartment was ready to be turned back over to them. She was upset about the state of the apartment and I understand that. It was still quite a mess. I did what I could with the time that I had, like I said. I didn't realize it was that dirty. Though my father did live in it for more than 10 years, so I guess that's to be expected to a degree. Christine was very angry at me when she talk to me on the phone she was threatening. about additional fees that I had to pay I told her that I was in the middle of the process of probate to gain access to my father's bank account, which is really the only thing of any value that he left behind and that once I gained access to the bank account I would be happy to pay her the money out of it. other than that, I mentioned that he also had a deposit with her and that my name was not on the lease and that she should not be threatening me with legal action. She was still pretending to be a manager at the company she told me that she would talk to the owner of the company and that he would reach out to me five minutes after hanging up the phone she sent me this disgusting unprofessional hurtful text message with pictures of my father's apartment saying "this is how you choose to honor his memory?" it is justifiable to be upset about the state of the apartment and the extra fees that may be involved however, it is extremely unprofessional and almost in human to send such a text while I am grieving the loss of my best friend of over 40 years. She had no sympathy. shame on Christine Dosen. Please be careful while dealing with her because she's going to victimize you if she can.

When Eloy says he offered to have another agent take over (see his response on Google Review, link…read moreis crazy long to post here) he didn't mention that he wanted a referral bonus so high that no one was willing to take it over. I have talked to 4 different people and none of them are willing to do it at the price that Eloy wants to give them. I didn't mention Eloy calling to apologize for the missed calls and email because: 1) He never called-- he sent me a snarky text message, 2) The experience I recounted was the 1st time that Eloy went off the grid with no contact from him (he which he never apologized for). The experience Eloy is talking about is the 2nd time he went off the grid with no contact (his story does not make sense either because it was both me and the loan officer trying to get a hold of him...well maybe he blocked both of us). The area is slammed with house purchases so there was definitely delays on getting qualified people out to do work for both us and the seller, but those where not my problems that caused me to give Eloy a bad review. It would take to much time to go into each individual problem I had and that is not the purpose of my review. I personally had a horrible experience with Eloy as my buying agent. When I talk to people in Ridgecrest about it, I have not met many people that have had good experiences with him. I would just suggest talking to actual people (other agents, inspectors, contractors, the local realtor association) in the area before making your decision and not just going off of online reviews like we did. And just remember that with any one man shop that there is no manager, boss, or partner to turn to if you are having a bad experience.

My wife (Stacie H) wrote a review earlier about Eloy and I just had an update that I needed people…read moreto know about. When Eloy said, "I offered them an opportunity to select another agent if they wished" he did so at such a high referral bonus that no one was willing/able to take over. In order to broker a deal I promised "to hold RR harmless against past and future liabilities with regards to the transaction. In addition the buyers will amend or retract all posted reviews and ratings such that they will reflect the matter as 'satisfied amicably' or removed. Satisfied amicably will mean at least 3 stars per category." We did so and as you can see Eloy has his 3 stars. He is now demanding that I also leave"a comment that our transaction was concluded amicably" which was never part of the deal. When I told him no he would "file suit then I will record a 'lens pendens' gives notice that a legal matters is at issue and no lender or title company will close until our matter is resolved." Lis Pendens (no n) can stop the seller from selling a home, but has no effect on the buyer (which I am). I am sure that Eloy knows this and is just trying to scare me into caving. If you get anything from my review it would be to use online reviews to find your top 3 agents, but ask some local people before deciding on who you will go with. How you portray yourself online could be a lot different that in real life.

I would strongly recommend exercising caution when purchasing a home listed by this agent…read more The seller moved out in November, yet the home was left filthy upon my escrow close end of Jan. After the selling agent removed a broken refrigerator the seller attempted to leave behind, I was told there was no way to clean the floor underneath it--which was absolutely not true. This was particularly frustrating considering the home had electricity, hot water, and even a closet full of cleaning supplies left by the seller, including a brand-new vacuum (see photo). Additionally, the furnace did not work when I moved in, despite the inspection report stating otherwise. The inspection process itself raised concerns, as the inspector did not allow anyone to be present. When I reported the issue, Carole said she would send someone because heat was necessary--but the person who arrived attempted to fix my hot water heater instead of the furnace. As a result, my home warranty would not cover the furnace, citing it as a pre-existing condition since it had never worked during my occupancy. Furnace pipes were cracked and the unit required replacement. HVAC company said system had to have been faulty for a minimum of two years those cracks don't happen within a few weeks or months. To make matters worse, two weeks after I moved in, an unfamiliar man showed up at my home to complete work that he claimed should have been finished prior to the close of escrow. I had never been informed this work was pending, so having a stranger unexpectedly appear at my door was both unsettling and unprofessional. The man was not a licensed professional which did not sit well with me. While I understand this realty company has been in business for some time, longevity alone should not be a deciding factor. Based on my experience, I would advise potential buyers to proceed carefully and ensure all inspections, repairs, and conditions are thoroughly inspected prior to close. The picture below is what I saw walking into my new kitchen upon move in. Also, I asked for a pile of rocks on the side of the home to be removed that never was done. Previous owners never had trash cans picked up even though I requested it be done through my agent. Responses on questions I had through my agent from the listing agent were not professional.

Kathleen L. Blurton told me that she can't accept my offer and to call back in a month because the house I wanted to buy was supposed to be for owner occupancy. I'm black, but I have wealth and buy homes for rentals. I said that's fine because sometimes this is true and fha foreclosures sometimes only accepts offers for owner occupied homes. However, I found out that she lied when I talked to the white man who was buying the home I wanted to buy from Kathleen. Yes. Ridgecrest is a very small town, and everyone knows everyone. The white man told me that he was buying the home for a rental property and not to be owner occupied. He said Kathleen took and accepted his offer the very next day after she told me to call back in a month. All I can say is Vaughn reality is white supremacists, and Kathleen Blurton is a white supremacist. I went and bought another home in Ridgecrest all cash. Lol The white supremacists did not stop a black person from buying a home in their town. The old days of redlining black people into poor communities are over. In addition, they're opening up their business for a civil rights law suit under 42 U.S. Code § 1983. Vaughn reality needs to understand that they can't redline black people in Ridgecrest.

I have to preface this review by saying that I am from Ridgecrest and love this town. I am also…read morefamiliar with lots of people in the community so it's tricky to tell the truth of my experience without potentially burning some bridges. I called this company last minute while in town to schedule a viewing of an apartment. They graciously fit me in. I liked what I saw but wasn't very far into the apartment hunt process so I waited a little under a week to get back to them that I wanted to move forward with the lease (totally knowing the apartment might be off the market by then; turns out lucky for me it wasn't). That's how a month of slow communication, misinformation, and stress began. The company has been going through management software and staffing changes. This resulted in at least 2-3 days between each email communication (which I always had to initiate) and almost never reaching someone by phone (I long gave up on reaching the original agent who showed me the apartment as she was not once available at the office-- and I had to ask for her email address). Sometimes even the voicemail boxes I was directed to by the receptionist weren't taking new messages... I realize that I may have set the tone by waiting to ask to start the leasing process, but it seems basic business sense that once a customer communicates that she wants to lease a property, the company should take the lead in moving forward quickly and efficiently. After three weeks, multiple calls, voicemails, emails, and different agents, I finally was emailed their online lease only to find that the signing service erased my signatures two days later. Then I got an automated message saying the agent handling my account had gone on summer vacation-- through the date I was going to move in. I called the company (and was put on hold twice-- once in mid-sentence) and asked for a copy of the lease signed by both parties before moving forward and whether a family member could pick up the keys. The agent new to my lease said yes. Then she sent an emailing recanting on both. I emailed them to cancel the leasing process, and then got an automated email two days later saying rent was due. Finally, I came in person to the office, telling my story and asking for a printed confirmation that the lease was cancelled (and as I hadn't put in a deposit, shouldn't ever have begun). The three agents in the office at the time were very kind and took responsibility-- which pretty much encapsulates my entire experience: mostly kind people who unfortunately were just not doing good business. I switched to going through Vaughn Realty and am VERY happy with my experience. They are also more thorough in their rental history checks (which I'm hoping will make for even better neighbors). In the future I might possibly try Coldwell Banker again... But very tentatively, only if I really love the property, if I am physically in town, and if I have time on my hands in case I have to initiate communication again. I would also switch companies again much sooner if I encountered problems like I did with this process.

She is very unprofessional and will speak ill of you behind your back. She told my mother her children were USELESS! When we are the owners of the business just trying to sell the business so that my mother could retire.
