Their double hung windows are easy to clean, They pivot out. However, their sliding windows do not. You must lift them and carefully tilt them toward you in order to remove for cleaning. WHAT!! I'm in my mid-seventies, and they are extremely heavy. I cannot lift them out by myself. Their sales people need to be more tuned into who they are marketing too, and offer another solution to huge front window sliders. I am learning my lesson hiring national companies, rather than local. The cost is huge on national companies because someone has to pay for monumental marketing costs. I went with a local company to complete the rest of my windows/doors, and it was 1/3 the cost of what I paid renewal. I say go with a local company and help support local businesses. Another thing I don't like about these slider windows, is that because they open from either side, when you shut the window (if opened on one side only) the other side seems to drag/open a bit, so you now have to push and hold it in while continuing to shut the other side. It was more like him saying the project would probably be around $60,000 for 15 windows and 2 sliders. There was no real breakdown or formal estimate, just a number thrown out there after all the talking. I had already received other quotes around $20,000 for similar work. When I mentioned that, the sales rep said that if someone is quoting $20,000 it must be cheap products that will not last more than six years. That sounded more like a scare tactic than an honest explanation. The most annoying part was at the end. I told him that it seemed like he did not even want to measure anything around my house and that it was fine if he just left. Instead of addressing that, he actually had the audacity to tell me that a survey would be coming and asked me to give him a 10 star review. After sitting through a long sales pitch, not even receiving a real quote, and then being asked for a perfect review, the whole experience felt like a complete waste of time. I simply wanted someone to come out, measure the windows, and give me a fair and honest price.

Needing to make a change we went to Yelp and found Advance Doors. Chris followed up with me immediately...we arranged a meeting so that he could inspect the doors and give me a quote. Ultimately, I chose Advance Doors and Chris in particular because of his flexibility...during that first schedule meeting...my schedule changed suddenly and he instead met with my realtor. He adjusted to the change, no problem, and followed up with a reasonable quote to replace two old doors with new style track slide up doors with openers. I also had him instal a rollup door (like those on industrial business for my workshop(adjacent to the garage). We had to change the install dates a couple of time due to my schedule and the weather and through it all Chis was cool.
