From the moment the appointment started, he was dismissive, rushed, and showed no patience or empathy toward my child. I explained her condition in detail, including the fact that her previous specialist had moved and that we were advised to monitor symptoms like increased pain or flashes of light. Instead of acknowledging anything I said, he cut me off and told me there was "nothing we can do" and that she would ''just have to live with the pain." When I questioned how a parent is supposed to accept that, he responded defensively, asking, "Well what do you recommend we do then? What have doctors been able to do for her all these years?" His tone was unprofessional and completely unnecessary. He then said he wasn't the right doctor for her and handed me a list of other doctors. Even as we were putting our jackets on, he stood over us holding the clipboard in my face, demanding that I take it to the front desk. No patience, no basic courtesy. My daughter left the office crying and asked why a doctor would tell her she should live with pain, something no child should ever hear from a medical professional. To make matters worse, when I went to check out and asked the front desk how I could file a complaint, I was told that they didn't have a phone number or email for that!!!!!!!!!!!! I would not recommend him, especially for pediatric care. A doctor should have compassion, patience, and respect, none of which we experienced here.

Dr. Katz enters the room, I am sitting in the chair watching Dr. Katz, my son is sitting in the patient chair and he begins to touch the equipment- I immediately tell my son to stop and Dr. Katz smacks my son on his arm RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!!! I couldn't believe it. "DID YOU JUST HIT MY SON?" I asked in complete disbelief! His response was, "No, I brushed his arm" LIES!!! The energy in the room immediately changed. I am in shock and disbelief. The mother in me was ready to turn the whole office up but the professional in me knows there are other ways to handle this. I must've tried on like 15 different pairs and the staff member that was helping me was so patient with me. I don't have vision insurance with my plan so they gave me a super 40% discount off of my frames which saved me a good $120! I will be going back to them for my second pair. Highly recommended. But i went in anyway, Oh man i def do not regret it!.. I got a free eye exam and i purchased my brand new michael Kors glasses!! wohoo Fancy, To top that off i asked the manager politely if he can rush the glasses since i was going on vacation the week after, and kindly they did everything possible to have my glasses ready. I loved the customer service here and I def recommend to come to this optical for your free exam and great prices on glasses!... Side note: I lost my glasses on the airplane back from Miami,:( and I called the store explained my situation, Ilya helped me get a brand new pair of glasses in no time..!! Great Jobs Guys!
