Basically wanting me to sign something about TMS treatment out of pocket costs when I didn't even know if TMS would be a good fit. I told the office manager I wasn't comfortable signing anything bc the out of pocket is very high, even with good insurance. I said I was only there to discuss treatment options at that time so the office manager went to talk to the doctor. I was told that they could do a consultation about the spravato treatment but if I I decided not to proceed after the consultation, that the cost for the consultation would be $500. Umm what? So I make any appointment to learn about the treatment options available but if I decide after learning more about them that they may not be a good fit for me, I get charged an exorbitant fee? Nope. Also, you need someone to drive you home after the ketamine treatment and I was asked about how I feel about getting an uber? What the heck? You're giving people mind altering drugs and you think it's ok for them to uber home? After all those sexual assaults that uber is being sued for? Not a chance. Beware! I had been a patient at WCS for many years, in a group and individual settings. Often I even had…read moremultiple sessions per week. When my insurance carrier changed I learned that WCS did not accept them and was not willing to bring them on. Out-of-network insurance coverage would be very expensive because I would be paying the prohibitively high "cash" rate until my out-of-network deductible would be met. (Also very high.) I appealed to the owner to pay the same rate as I was with my previous insurance, which was more affordable. (I've done this before with other professionals and they had no issue.) However, the owner declined to accept my offer stating that she had to look after the welfare of the business. WCS has a financial appeal I could submit, but it is based on the Affordable Care Act. In otherwords, since I can afford therapy from WCS with my insurance only, I am denied any financial assistance from Afforable Care Act. Very disappointing.
