Ali at Pamir Rugs provided *the best* service. He came in providing an estimate for cleaning our 4 rugs (1 large, 2 medium ,and 1 small) He picked them up, cleaned and repaired, and return them just as he said he would. In fact, he spent extra time on a small rug to make it look perfect by repairing the edging and lost threads. He did this at no cost just because he cares. He is very knowledgeable about the origin, era, and fabrics used in various rugs. To him, they are works of art and he repaired 2 of mine mine, lovingly. He sent me an update of the progress with before and after photos of my antique Persian rug. Ali and his brother delivered my carpets after 7 days and placed them for me, even moving my furniture back in place.. They installed the padding and made sure my rug was perfectly placed in my living room. They were patient and so kind. We had a wonderful experience buying our carpets from Pamir. We needed three rugs of different sizes and designs that would coordinate with both pattern and colors. Ali did a beautiful job of picking three for us and they are all gorgeous. When people enter our home, that is what they see first and they say how stunning they are. They arrived right on time and Ali and his son layed them out and placed them just where we wanted and were so kind. We love the beauty and warmth they add to our newly rebuilt home which was burned down in the CZU Lightening Fire in August of 2020. Ali came in person to inspect and estimate the repairs, took them, repaired them (and charged LESS than his original estimate) and brought them back and installed them with new pads. Hamid was very helpful when I called about having my best old rug cleaned. I had already called some out of town services, but he demonstrated his knowledge and thoroughness immediately. I sent some photos measurements and he gave me a ball park figure for the cost of cleaning. Then when he came we discussed the possibility of repair, and I made it clear I did not want in any way to damage the 'antique' quality of the rug. Their work was better than anticipated, and the price was worth the security and quality. He also spotted a smaller rug I was thinking of throwing out, and they cleaned and restored it. This was our second time buying from Ali at Pamir Rugs, it was even better than the first time. He showed us plenty of options, offered lots of knowledge but left us to form our own opinions and buy when we were ready. Last time it a Tibetan area rug, this time an Afghani runner. Neither was cheap, both are spectacular. I even went back again to have him clean and repair an old Navaho runner that is beautiful, but had been very badly neglected for decades. read more
