Lumpia, Garlic Fried Rice, Beefsteak, and Kare Kare! All so amazingly delicious!!!

Since moving away from home, I've been missing my mom's home cooking so I took a chance on this gem. At first, I was apprehensive about the price of each dish, but it was totally worth it! This place immediately took me back home. I wish there was more vegetables in the Kare Kare, but the meat was perfect! They forgot the side soup of Sinigang I was looking forward to, but all in all, I will be ordering again.

Great convenient place to pick up Filipino food! It's right by Joyce station and right beside the church. I pass by this area often and always see a line of people lined up outside, so it's a popular spot! Some of my favourites are the Filipino style BBQ chicken and sisig. Number one for me actually has to be the sisig, I love the crunchyness, the 'zing' of the lemon, and spicyness from the chilli flakes. Soooo good! I would get the large size for take out and then just eat it with my own rice at home. There are a few tables if you want to sit in to eat but it's a little squishy so I do recommend getting take out instead. There's also a dessert window and you can just point to what you want ('turo turo' style). The staff is super friendly and they will always greet you with a smile. I also find it nice that they speak to me in Tagalog and can tell I'm Filipino even though I am wearing a mask. It feels nice to be around fellow Filipinos!

Writing this during our worldwide covid19 situation ~ I'm SO grateful that they provide home delivery service! *As of today, they now use Uber Eats Really craved some comfort Fil food today Was able to conveniently place my order via DM Instagram & paid via etransfer They were kind to allow me to make a few personal requests Food arrived on the time I requested - good portions and warm! Loved our order of their (noodles) pancit palabok, pancit guisado (requested no meat), ginataang langka (non-sweet coconut jackfruit), fried lumpia (veg egg roll& turon (sweet plaintain spring rolls - requested less caramel coating) They even gave me free rice & soup! Also, as requested, they dropped it off at the door, but texted me just before they did & watched me from the car to make sure I got it! Will order from them again!

I have been here a few times and while the food is pretty tasty, the service can be better. Compared to the other Filipino restaurants along the stretch, I find the staff here not as warm or friendly. I had a hard time ordering the food, even when I was there with a Filipino colleague who helped to explain or translate, they still did not get my order right. The line and wait can be long, especially during the lunch rush. Even if you are there early, not all food will be ready. One thing I did not get was the ordering of lumpia. In the price list, it said "Fried lumpia (3 for combo) $1.50". I asked about it. First, the staff said it was not ready, that they only fry on the spot otherwise it would not be crispy. Then she said it need to be pre-ordered. So did that mean I need to call in advance to order just 3 pieces? It did not make sense to me. The general feel I got from my visits here were discrepancies in the prices listed and what they charged, the staff was fairly impatient when being asked questions, the staff was not really keen to explain the what the dishes were. Maybe it would be easier to order if you can speak the language or bring someone along who can speak it, or if you stick to the basic of the combos on the board and not deviate from that and try to order those side sides. Pretty disappointing. I think I will stick to the other restaurants nearby instead.

The WORST sisig and service. It tasted like a reheated lechon kawali with chili, onion and vinegar. Is this even a good representation? I respectfully and as quietly as I could mentioned that the sisig was not crispy and asked what can be done. They said nothing coz it is one batch. It was so bad that I asked if they can replace it with something else even if I paid an extra fee. I had 1spoonful to taste and showed the ladies. They said to throw it away. Then wanted to charge me $9 for the replacement. To fix the issue, they escalated it and a rude lady did not help. She had the audacity to tell me that I should complain beforehand? How would I know it is bad if I did not taste it??? She even acknowledged it got reheated and said nobody complained before - loudly for other customers to hear. I had to point to her sign "crispy sisig". She asked the other ladies how much I ate and they said "this much" - I have no idea what this much is. As a customer, I felt they had ganged up against me , felt embarrassed and I had to just eat my other dish calmly while all the while feeling ripped off. TBH, sisig was really like lechon kawali and I have not even brought that up and wanted to "gently complain" on the crispy issue so they can get it but "getting it" is not possible with defensive and indifferent approach. For reference, a combo is $16.50 with 2 dishes and $10 is a combo with 1 dish so $9 is a rip off plus the dish was barely eaten. I would have just been Ok if as a token, they gave me a fraction of my money - even a couple dollars or had given me a replacement for even half of a cup of 1 other dish but a plain out NO + NOT OUR FAULT+ FAKE SORRY + RUDENESS is upsetting. They have banner saying " home of original sisig" so now I have no idea what pampanga sisig should be. First time customer and will likely never go back again!! I will support the next door Filipino place that is more consistent.

Was surprised that the 2 item combo has increased to $14 back then it was $10 but it is still definitely worth it to get some good Filipino food here. If you miss Filipino food, make sure to come here and get the sisik. A lot of their food reminds me of home food its very similar with manadonese food. Cheers! Very recommended!

Instructions are written here. Two dishes were specifically supposed to be vegetarian.

I ordered from this restaurant via uber eats. I specifically ordered a couple of my dishes to be specifically vegetarian. They contacted me right away to tell me that they don't have one of the dishes (pinakbet), which is fine so we moved to another dish (laing). The ordered arrive and they switched my order to chopseuy which is great because they did tell me that my previous order has shrimp paste, so kudos for letting me know. We started eating and the sinigang has one piece of pork inside it. My friend who's vegetarian started panicking because he's highly sensitive to meat. He threw the dish away so we unfortunately don't have any proof. I tried calling to let then know, they claimed that my instructions weren't clear enough and they said they can't make the soup vegetarian -which is okay because we wouldn't have ordered anything there. Nothing was resolved. We're now extremely wary of eating the chopseuy they provided because of that. Sisig was good, I have to give them that.

A busy Filipino fastfood restaurants in Joyce St., Vancouver. Very delicious and authentic food selections, from adobo to caldereta. I live in Richmond and I always make it a point to go to this restaurant whenever I am around this area. Always buy a combo(2items with rice) for $10. Since i live far fr this restaurant i always buy 3 combos, meaning 6 items with ric, that will be my food for 2 to 3 days. Some of my favourites here are Minudo, caldereta, kare kare, binagoungan and pansit palabok. Servings are very generous.

It's really good. I thought it was more delicious than what I had in Manila and in the provinces. Clean, distinctive flavors. Good value.

We ordered the fried tripe tacos, beef tongue tacos and cheese pupusa tonight and found the tripe taco to be the best choice; it had a nice flavour and texture to it, unlike the other things we ordered. The green sauce that came with the tacos were lacking something to it and the pupusa sauce was just disappointing- it felt like water pretending to be a sauce. The beef tongue tacos were ok: full of meat but lacking flavour. The pupusa was just sad as it was cold and flimsy. Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend.

There is no AC here but they do take credit card. We ordered an order for salsa and chips with a side of guacamole. The small guacamole costs almost $6. However, the chips is the kind of chips I have been searching for since my Los Cabos trip. We also ordered a pork soup. The pork soup is amazing. The meat is very tender and if you add the chips, lettuce and lime that comes with the soup, it brings the soup to the next level. The tacos doesn't come with any salsas but it is similar to the ones I had at the Los Cabos resort. We also ordered a dinner set. The food is quite good. I don't mind going back on a cool day but I do find that their food is on the more expensive side based on the portion and price of the food.
