My pup loves his visits to PPR. Rachel is great and always happy to see him! Amber does a great job grooming. Highly recommend them.

We brought our two very well adult -behaved dogs here for two nights over thanksgiving. Not impressed, was greeted by the lady at the desk telling me that the " white dog", referring to my 8 year old sweet as pie yellow lab tried to bite her 3 times . We have NEVER seen an aggressive bone in this girls body since she was 6 weeks old . They also put a leash around her neck even though she clearly is wearing a chest harness due to having a collapsed trachea. I would not trust that they care well for the pets left in their care and I wish I had seen a current review prior to leaving my fur babies here ... I think the old Reviews that were five star reflect the precious operators of this kennel - and not the current owners... beware ... read more

We have taken our pitbull here since she was 4 months old. We have been spending good time and money at this establishment for 2 years. They have always taken my pet with open arms as on their website they claim to not have breed restrictions. I have screenshots of this in case they try and switch it up after this review. Upon arrival to drop my dog off on 10/3/19. I was rudely greeted by Rachel who looked at me and said, "we don't take pitbulls because I have one in the back right now that I'm about to call home due to his aggression." I explained to her that we have taken our pet here for years. She then said to me, "well I hope this is one of the nice pitbulls that we have been told about." Honestly I should have left at that point. I regret leaving her there after that comment. She took my dog back that afternoon, however we were called the following morning 10/4/19 and were told that we needed to come pick our dog up as she was "being aggressive". We never got the full story as to what she was doing wrong but I asked if the owner could give me a call to discuss the matter. When he called, he said that they have never taken pitbulls and that he doesn't know how they slid through the cracks. I informed him that his employee acknowledged the breed upon drop off and told me there was another pitbull in the back. He told me that due to insurance, they don't allow the breed on their property. If that is the case, then to take the "restricted breeds" in the first place is 100% illegal. Not only is it illegal but they advertise a "no breed restriction" company on the website. To then take my dog and after one night and then call me to tell me that she is no longer accepted is bait and switch. Owner claims to have cameras and I would like to have footage of my dog being "aggressive" to ensure that my dog wasn't being called home to cover their ass for insurance policy matters due to previous conversations with employees or even mistreated for that matter. Our pet has not only been to this establishment numerous times previous, but the employees who live on property (now previous employee) would personally take my pet to their home because they "loved her so much". She is socialized and goes to the local dog park with no issues EVER. Luckily, we have great friends with 2 dogs she has never met that allowed our sweet girl to stay with them. And guess what? No issues with aggression. Recent reviews show that I am not the only person having a terrible experience. This business should not have a license. I have reported them to the BBB. read more

We've taken our rescued 10-year-old Newfoundland who we adopted 6 years ago here for some time for her grooming. We've always had great service. Last year they sold and new owner took over. The only change we noticed was the pricing went up. They still retained the same groomers. Only Monday of this week my husband dropped our Newfoundland off at 9:15 AM for her grooming appointment. Normally, one of the female groomers greeted us. This time it was a male. Our girl coming from an abused life was unsure of this male. She wanted to go with my husband. This male pulled her leash hard towards him and my husband told him to slow down and be gentle. She has a big heart and your scaring her. The female groomers were aware she had arthritis in her rear legs and hips. They didn't like to keep her standing long or caged long so they normally always had her done by noon. The female groomers knew exactly how we liked her cut and that she was afraid of the dryers. My husband explained to the man who took her that they should have on record how we have her cut, but if not, someone needed to call me before my flight left at noon. When I landed in Atlanta I noticed I had a couple of missed calls while I was in the air but no VMEs. I called my husband to see if our girl was done. He said no but told them to call me if they had any questions about her cut. I told him I had a couple of missed calls. My husband called the number and it was for one of the female groomers but her VME was full. He called the main number and was advised she wasn't done. He was told to pick her up at 4:30 PM. Normally, the female groomers would have her done by noon. My husband arrived at 4:30 and this young man who was mouthy and pissed told my husband that he still wasn't done with her. He went on to complain how big she was, how she wouldn't stay standing on the table, what a handful she was and how she was moving around and that my husband had no idea how his day has been. My husband was quick to tell this young man he didn't care what kind of day he had. He wanted our girl. When he brought out our girl she was shaved!!!!! Yes, he shaved our Newfoundland - but only her body. Because she kept wanting to sit (maybe because she has arthritis in her hips and legs and had been there since 9:15 AM ) that he couldn't do her feet or tail or ears. She looked horrible and was crying when she saw my husband!! She had to go Potty so bad she peed on the way to the truck. He told my husband to bring her back on Tuesday and he would finish her. My husband didn't. Why - because she cried the entire way home. She couldn't even get out of my husband's truck because her legs and hips hurt. She wouldn't eat dinner and when she laid down or tried to get up she cried. My husband had to help her up in order for her to go outside to Potty and when he did, she peed on herself and she cried! It's clear this angry young man who groomed her abused her! It's now Wednesday and we are still having to help her up. Normally, when you get her leash she goes crazy - she loves ...loves walks!! My husband grabbed her leash to hang it up and she cowered to the floor. My guess is this young man made her suffer because he was pissed. My husband and I volunteer for some animal rescue organizations. After what has been done to our old girl, I have no problem making sure others are aware. Our subdivision and those around ours utilize this online communication which I will be sharing our story. I wish we could video taped whatever this young man did to her. It so sad to think that our old girls last few months or how every many last few years of her life (large breed dogs tend to live about 10 years) are going to be memories of the abuse she suffered here. She certainly is not the same girl we dropped off there. With all the recent posts on Facebook about dog groomers abusing pets I hope people not only speak up for their pets - but also know they need to be protect them and not trust anyone with their pet! Just because someone is in business to provide services to your pet - doesn't mean they have the best interest of your pet. The financial gain may be more than the love and care of your pet. I wish the mobile groomers I sent inquires to would have responded - I take that back one did - but never replied back to me after I gave her the weight of our girl. Had they responded maybe she wouldn't have been traumatized by us taking her here. I hope we can get our old girl back. She is such a precious - sweet loving girl. We always use pampered pet resort when we travel for our two dogs. They are very accommodating to my pug who is blind . They always remember my dogs and seem to really care about their needs and have always been friendly! My dogs don't seem to mind one bit when I drop them off. Very nice groomer as well and the prices are beyond fair. Four paws up! :) read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS TO PAMPERED PET RESORT, LLC! We took our 2 dogs there, and when we picked them up on the evening of July 3rd, our 4-year-old dog did not seem himself. He was walking slowly and didn't have much energy. I called multiple times within an hour of picking him up, and within a few seconds of each call, my call was send straight to voicemail so they were obviously avoiding my call. Finally, when we called after multiple times, a woman answered. My husband spoke with her and asked what happened to our dog while he was there. She said she wasn't watching the dogs this weekend so she checked with the person who was with the dogs. They said that "they didn't see anything happen." She responded and said to keep them updated with how he was doing. Early in the morning, our dog was hysterically crying in pain, could barely walk, and was shaking profusely so we took him to the emergency pet hospital (because it was a holiday and the regular vet was closed). They reported that he had inflammation in his lower back and he needed STRICT CAGE REST FOR 4 WEEKS. They also said he needed to receive an IV pain medication due to the amount of pain he was in, in addition to requiring 2 other medications that we took home with us to give him for the next few weeks. I called on July 4th to let Pampered Pet Resort know what the vet hospital reported and they didn't answer so I left a message. They didn't call me back so I called again on July 5th. I asked for the woman who my husband spoke with on July 3rd, and the man said that she wasn't going to be available for multiple days. He said he was the OWNER and asked what he could help me with. I explained the situation (that my dogs had stayed there and my 4-year-old dog was hurt while he was at their facility) and he immediately got defensive. He said that he was the person watching them this weekend and he "didn't see anything happen." He made up every excuse he could. First, he said that "I shouldn't have taken my dog to an emergency vet hospital if I didn't want a bill." I asked him that if he had a dog who was crying in extreme pain, would he just stay at home and not care about the dog, and his response was "well, probably." Keep in mind this is THE OWNER OF A "PAMPERED PET" FACILITY WHO DOESN'T EVEN CARE IF AN ANIMAL IS IN PAIN. Second, I asked him if anyone ever pet the dog, and he continually said, "we don't pick the dogs up." My response was that I wasn't asking if anyone picked him up - I was asking if anyone ever took the time to just pet him for a second, because if they did, they would have immediately seen that he was in pain. His response was "NO, NO ONE EVER PET YOUR DOG. WE DON'T TOUCH THE DOGS. WE LET THEM GO OUTSIDE TO GO TO THE RESTROOM AND WE CHANGE THEIR BEDDING. WE HAVE LOTS OF ANIMALS HERE. IF YOU WANT YOUR DOG TO BE PET, THEN YOU CAN TAKE THEM SOMEWHERE ELSE." Keep in mind that their website states that they provide "personalized care," yet not one time do they ever pet a dog that you are paying for to stay there and receive "personalized care." He also tried to give me excuses saying that emergency vet hospitals tend to exaggerate problems so he didn't think anything was wrong with the dog. THE PEOPLE THAT WORK AT THIS FACILITY ARE NEGLIGENT. He repeatedly stated that "he is the owner and he knows what he is doing because he's been doing this for 20 years." He said he didn't see anything happen (even though they don't even watch or pet the dogs that stay there) and he didn't care that our dog was hurt. I know our dog got hurt when he was there, but the people that work there didn't even take the time giving any of the dogs any attention just to see that our dog was hurt. That is negligence! His response was always how he knew what he was doing and that we signed a waiver to let our dog play with other dogs. This guy who is supposed to be the owner of a "pampered pet" facility clearly doesn't even like animals. He would rather leave an animal in pain than figure out what is wrong with them. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE IF YOU CARE FOR THEM AT ALL! Do them a favor and don't send them to this terrible place. This if the farthest place from a "pampered" pet facility. Not giving 1 single bit of attention to a pet that is staying there is NOT PAMPERING THEM. We followed up with our local vet today as recommended by the emergency vet hospital, and they reported that our dog needs surgery thanks to the negligence of these people not even paying an ounce of attention to our dog. We will do anything for our dog as I'm sure most pet owners would do, but not the owner of this facility. All this guy cared about was that he wasn't responsible for anything that happened. I JUST CAN'T BELIEVE THAT HE TOLD US THAT IF WE WANTED OUR DOG TO BE PET, WE SHOULD GO SOMEWHERE ELSE BECAUSE THEY DON'T GIVE THE DOGS ATTENTION. BELIEVE ME WHEN I SAY I WILL NEVER TAKE MY DOGS BACK TO THIS HELL HOLE EVER AGAIN! read more

This is the first time I have used the Pampered Pet Resort in Spring Hill, Tn, and this will probably be the last. I boarded my two dogs there for three days. I cannot comment as to the treatment of the animals, however, I CANNOT RECOMMEND their abilities as "groomers" nor my request to contact their paying customer before doing anything not spoken of to their animals. I was not notified before they bathed and "groomed" my dogs,something I rarely let ANYONE do as most are not familiar with the breeds grooming necessities. Which was obviously the case here. My dogs were bathed and apparently "left to dry" as they became severely matted. They attempted to shave PARTS of one of my dogs to get rid of the mattes! So, now he has long hair and short hair throughout his coat. I can only assume once they realized the gravity of the situation they left my other dog alone, with huge mattes all over her body, and the worst around her neck! To top it off, they RECOMMENDED A CUTTING TOOL FOR REMOVING THE MATTES THEY CREATED!!! AND!!! still charged me for the "bathing and grooming" services! Seriously!? An act they performed without any kind of prior approval, when they two contact numbers by which to contact us. Beyond furious with this situation! read more

Pampered pet resort is the best, my dog loves it there and gets excited to go. It is very clean, and it's not a real large kennel and they get to know each dog individually. When I drop her off she just runs to the back and acts like " hey guys I'm back like a little kid. I have never had her act like this before with other kennels. I like how the yards are very homelike. The prices are great and the groomer is the best and doesn't charge for all the little extras like some places. I have to give this place a 5 star rating. read more

I just took my 3 dogs in for grooming. I was happy with the outcome of 2 out of 3. My akita came home looking just as bad if not worse than when we left her. This is the dreaded time of year when she blows her coat. Normally we take her to petco or petsmart and request the shedless finish. Yes the treatment is more expensive but completely worth every penny. When we found the pampered pet and saw they had a similar treatment we were thrilled. When i finally saw my poor girl she looked miserable. She was far from shed free. Everytime she walked huge clumps of hair fell out. We have already taken her somewhere else and she looks as she should. If you are looking for any easy bath for your pets this is a fine place as my other 2 dogs were okay. If you need anything more than the basics you might want to find an alternative. I will say the staff we encountered were friendly. I never met the groomer, she was gone when we arrived. read more
