Before COVID, I would visit Ensenada twice a year. Way back in December '19, I stumbled upon this…read morecute little pastry shop while waiting for my favorite taco shop nearby to open. With an hour to kill, I decided to pop in for a pastry and espresso. Lourdes is a very local place. None of the employees or customers spoke English, but that's how it should be in Mexico. Inside was very clean, and we were able to communicate with no problem. While looking over the treat cases, I was excited to see a chocolate cupcake labeled as "Keto." Trying to be good (and since I was getting ready to shove about 6 tacos down my piehole later that afternoon), I bought the low carb cake along with an espresso. I was nervous drinking the coffee because I'm not sure if they use filtered water here, but my tummy was fine after. I guess the super hot water kills any bugs. Your mileage may vary, and I probably wouldn't order espresso here again. It was literally a Nespresso pod (which I use at home every day). The cake was tasty, especially for one with limited sugar! It was a nice breakfast treat to share. We took a seat at one of the the little outdoor tables to enjoy the warm Mexican breeze. There's not a view to speak of (it's just a parking lot), but it was still nice. Two espressos and a large keto cupcake set us back 108 pesos ($5 U.S. dollars).

The seating was spacious and comfortable, and the service was great throughout. We tried the goat cheese & spinach quiche, summer salad, crème brûlée, and lemon meringue tart. The quiche was probably my favorite savory item -- super thick and fluffy with a generous piece of goat cheese on top, and the roasted potatoes on the side were really good too. The summer salad was fresh and loaded with smoked salmon, avocado, mango, and pistachios. Definitely save room for dessert. The crème brûlée had that perfect crunchy caramelized top, and the lemon meringue tart was really cute and had a nice balance of tart and sweet. I love the wide variety pastry selection and how pretty everything looks in the display case. Overall, a really nice breakfast spot -- good food, lots of space, great service, and no crazy Sunday morning wait when we went

We stood in line to get in for about 10 minutes-it's definitely a busy place and probably could get busier! Service was good, but again they were busy...food was great! This was our first time here and we didn't get to try the pastries, but they look very promising. I am always on the hunt for the best pastries around because after visiting Europe and having pastries there, nothing here in the US compares!

It's an absolute staple of what makes exploring the Village so special. Walking through the front entrance, you're greeted by a curated retail space that feels like Crate & Barrel met a boutique shop in the heart of Paris. It's packed with unique home goods, chic trinkets, and aesthetic lifestyle items. Be sure to wander all the way to the back shelves--there are so many hidden gems worth taking home! The staff upfront and on the floor were incredibly warm, welcoming, and happy to chat while you browse. As you head toward the back, the space opens up into a dream of a café. One of the cutest touches is being able to actually watch the bakers rolling out fresh dough and crafting pastries right before your eyes. The smell of rich espresso and buttery pastry crust filling the air is irresistible. I grabbed a coffee and a fresh pastry, waited a short bit for a table on the patio, and pulled out my journal. Listening to the ambient music and ocean breeze in the courtyard while writing was pure heaven. Whether you're stopping in to shop for home decor, grab a top-tier espresso, or just soak in the slow, luxurious rhythm of La Jolla, this place is perfection.

This is an amazing bakery, the desserts were out of this world, and the savory tarts were even better. I am not going to even tell you which ones we bought, because honestly you need to just walk in here, look at which one fills your eyes with joy and buy that one. They are all delicious. Beautiful to for all your senses. Now I will have to find the quickest route of Ramona to La Jolla, just to enjoy these delicacies more often.

Super cute coffee shop vibe. The pastries are delightful. We had every item with the exception of the mini teddy bears. The mushroom is a must if you're a chocolate lover. The pistachio was heavenly, lemon, strawberry, blueberry and raspberry were amazing. The peach was the most mild flavored of the items and the mango was very good. The Dubai chocolate croissant and pistachio pastry were phenomenal. Give them a try and you won't be disappointed.

Later on, I ate one of my beauuutifully crafted mini bears, the pink one. I was blown away..."Merci beaucoup Chef Clèment!!" Based on my positive experience, I highly recommend this dessert spot to the Yelp Community :-)
