As a child, I remember the tradition of buying hot bread right out of the window of La Asturiana. Two and a half loaves. Half for the road, one for home and one for grandpa. For me to have the opportunity to take my wife and daughter to experience what I grew up with.
I ordered a loaf of bread with butter, a pastry for my daughter and two coffees. All of them were ok. Now, the experience was seriously tainted by the staff. First, ALL of them were incredibly rude. The girl taking the order acted like she was giving away free food and the girl that served the order was way to busy on her cell phone to even look at me when she handed it.
But the one that made me think about just getting full throttle Boricua on was the guy that served the coffee. He went as far as yelling at me because I could not hear what he was asking about which kind of sugar I wanted with the coffee. The only reason I didn't grab him by the neck and introduce his face to "la piedra de Polanco" was because I was with my wife and daughter and they seemed to be ok eating their pastries and bread.
