They do not speak English. You must make a reservation. Did not get served. But looked good and smelled good.

The people working here are all really nice, and they speak Spanish, so I had high expectations. What I got was... OK. I ordered the vegan tacos, and they were pretty bland, and it was hard to tell which was which because they just tasted sort of the same. And even with guacamole and hot sauce on top, they were just OK, but nothing I would go out of my way for, which was kind of disappointing. Most of the people I came with are not Mexican food aficionados/experts, so they were pretty satisfied with their choices, but I don't think I'd come here again.

I was so happy to finally have found another place to return to in Munich. Nice! 18€ for Mexican fast food, whatever, this is Munich! Until .. the food arrived. Come on! Cardboard-tasting limp, soggyfallingapart tacos. Some mushy fillings without pronounced flavors or, actually, difference between them. Some limp salad snippings in one of the Tacos, and no other variation and decoration in any of them. The Margarita .. yes forget about it. 18€ for that? How could this have gone so wrong

I asked if that meant I had to leave and come back at 5, to which the waitress replied that I could sit outside and order a drink, but I could not receive the happy hour price until 5 pm (a whole ten minutes later). When I finally got the happy hour margarita (5.50 Eur), it was tiny and warm (no ice). I can't believe they normally charge 8.50 Eur for that! Later when I wanted to order some food, I asked if I could mix the different enchilada sauces, even if it meant paying a little extra, but the waitress firmly replied no, that is not possible. Their perspective on service is all wrong and they'll likely find that customers won't return somewhere that their business isn't appreciated.

Though I had never been there before, I decided I wanted to try it for my birthday dinner.....a risky move, but I'm glad I took the risk. My friends and I took full advantage of the Happy Hour from 5 to 7pm. Even if the drinks hadn't been at Happy Hour prices, they still would be worth the money. No skimping on alcohol here! Also, upon being told it was my birthday, the owner (pretty sure his name was Jorge) sent out a round of shots and played not one but TWO birthday songs for me. Jorge really is a nice guy and makes you feel like he appreciates your business. Now on to the food. I had the enchiladas de mole and I must say it was really on point! The mole sauce was out of this world. It was the first time since I moved to Munich that I was able to enjoy great, authentic Mexican. From the chocolate, to the chilis, to the spices....it was like you could taste every separate ingredient in the sauce and it all blended together perfectly. I was so pleased with myself for choosing this dish haha There isn't a question of IF I will eat here again, the only question is WHEN. Two big thumbs from me!

To note up front: this isn't traditional Mexican like you make expect. Everything is fork and knife, so not the kind of burrito you'll be able to pick up. Also up front, the chicken is great! Definitely load up on the chicken entrees! I wanted to try a variety, so I went with the Plato Texano. I was a bit confused at first by what was on the plate, but I figured it out. The quesadilla consisted of fresh cheese melted all over perfectly seasoned chicken, but heft and consistency-wise, felt more like a taco. I wasn't as impressed by the con carne. It was tender because it came in beef gravy type sauce, but still tasted quite bland. I'm not big on veggie burritos, so this wasn't ever going to be my thing. Imagine like an open faced veggie fajita. If you like that, you may like this. The salad was interesting. There was a honey mustard dressing that didn't really fit the flavor profile that I'd want to pair with Mexican food. Although, I don't think I've ordered a salad with Mexican before so I can't think of a type of dressing I would want to pair it with. Finally, the chicken chimichanga! So good! I wish I just ordered 3 or 4 of these.

We ordered the chimichanga and it was a wheat tortilla not crispy and it had some kind of ground beef inside. The al bundega was pretty good.

Let's don't forget, too, that if items on menus here are labeled as 'spicy', then they actually might not be. So it was with my 'hot' salsa selection chosen for the beef burrito (no, puerco, BC? Porque?) Anywho, the grub I got was fine, indeed, and became much more flavorful with the ton of hot sauces I added to it at table. The best part of the whole affair was the Crew Republic Pale Ale to wash it all down with. Second best part was the black and white photo hanging on the wall of SF showing Coit Tower, the church in Wash. Square Park, and, of course, the GGB with obligatory fog blanket in the background. The service was friendly as well and the dude who took our order was patient with us first-timers as we figured out the card ordering system. PS: expect funky chicory and, perhaps, other bitter lettuce in your burrito should you choose the 'salad' option. For 'mericans some such option would mean simply lettuce, the bland variety.

As always in Europe, guacamole is not obviously assumed and you have to pay an extra (EUR 1) for it. However, compared to other places I have been to, here guacamole is not too expensive, it is good and you get a decent amount of it; therefore, it is worth. I had a burrito bowl with beef (EUR 6.90) which was quite good. There wasn't too much meat though. I would give the place 3.5 stars but because of the awesome sauces on the tables I round it up to 4 (I regret not having taken the regular burrito with the tortilla to dip it into the sauces).
