From Panera bread I ordered a Turkey sandwich, chips, and a frozen strawberry lemonade. My delivery from Uber came quickly and was packaged correctly. My issue is not with Uber, it's with Panera. Upon opening my sandwich, which was packed tightly and sealed, I saw a long brown piece of hair tucked in my sandwich. I was immediately disgusted and was not able to eat the sandwich. I was having trouble at the self ordering kiosks due to my card not going through no matter how I tried to pay. Thankfully, Juliet noticed and offered to take my order upfront. Juliet was fast, helpful, and friendly. This location is also fast with your order but the only reason I took some stars away is due to the fact I wanted chicken on my sandwich but it wasn't added. Turns out Juliet didn't add the customization to the order but I just went back in the store to get it added to the sandwich. I offered to pay for it but they gave it to me in a cup for free so they don't have to reopen my sandwich. I will say, I understand what I'm assuming is the shift lead in the kitchen's (a woman with redish colored hair) concern with whether or not I "really asked for it since it's not on the screen" but it was a mistake on the cashier part (also mine since I didn't have her repeat my order back I guess). I usually pick up some quick breakfast to go on my way to work. I always had a bad experience with this Panera Bread location. First time: wrong spread. Second time: No spread in my bag. Third and fourth time: burnt bagels in my bag. (Look at the picture I added). Mistakes can happen once or twice. Not four times in a row. I think they do not care much for their to go orders because the customer is not driving back just to complain about a $3 bagel. All in all, avoid this place for bagels. With chain restaurants the food you get at one is almost always the food you get everywhere else. If you like Panera, you'll like the food here. The difference and the reason it earns 5 stars all the way is the staff and customer service. Specifically Ken who is the manager there. A little while back I was suddenly put in charge (i.e. via phone call at 6:30am) of catering our Tuesday morning meeting since the person who normally orders our catering was off work on vacation. Our meetings start at 8am and so I rush to put on pants and leap into the car. YELP TO THE RESCUE! I find the number for Panera, and the angels brought me Ken. I tell him I need to feed 35 adults who were relatively health conscious and that I had to pick up the food at 7:45 (giving him roughly 30 minutes to get the food ready). He went through the various options I had for food choices and helped me price it out with coffee to boot, and helped me make a decision in record time. As soon as I did he said "We're on it!" and jumped to it. When I arrived at about 7:45 they were still making the breakfast sandwiches, AND helping customers AND there were only 2 of them working and I was not the only big catering order. I don't know how they got it done but I still got out the door by 8am and to my office by 8:10. Without Ken it would have been a disaster, and I was so impressed by their service I've been back over and over. My favorites: ALL their soups, their mac n' cheese (my fave), their turkey breast, their grilled chicken, of course their breakfast foods, and they have a salad there I like a lot. The bacon looked microwaved and it was chewy. I normally love corner bakery but this experience was atrocious and the manager's flippant reaction only made it worse. I've eaten here a few times and it's been ok, the staff is louder than the staff and the food is consistent between Panera locations so I know what I'm going to get when I go. I like to get it in a bread bowl sometimes and my favorite sandwich from here is the chipotle avocado sandwich. Their green tea fountain drink is so good and I usually put some pumps of cane sugar in it. My favorite bagel is the cinnamon crunch bagel with honey walnut cream. One thing that I would have to acknowledge here is that they are very attentive to clean up the tables, a task that they are not entitled to do. They would circulate around the restaurant and help customers remove bowls and plates after their meals are done. Definitely a move that goes above and beyond! I would say this is the first time that I have seen from a Panera Bread branch. Food is great, as usual. I ordered BBQ chicken flatbread and New England clam chowder soup. I have been on a health kick for some time so I love going to the places that offer fresh servings. Panera is on my list of healthy places to eat out at. Especially if I am on a diet. However today I am not on a diet and I ordered my favorite sandwich, The Bacon Turkey Bravo and I added avocado to it. So yummy! Normally I call ahead because lunch time around here is insane! The line will get 15 people deep at times. When I first got here today there was only one cashier and though she is very nice, she is also very chatty. Making you stand there longer than need be in line while she chats up everyone at her register. Another lady was walking around and doing other "working" stuff and did so for at least 3 minutes before acknowledging me and taking my order. In the mean time, Mrs. Chatty Cathy is still on her first customer as I pay and go to the waiting area. So once again, my lesson is learned. I will be calling my order to go and hopefully missing the line even if I was just behind one person today. They also have a rewards program which I love, I have received two free desserts and a drink so far. I have tried their pick 2 and you end up with half a sandwich and a small cup of soup.
