I did not stay at this hotel, but we had brunch at The Living Room within the hotel. It was unexpectedly wonderful! The food was so fresh and the avocado toast was so simple but somehow it was one of the best I've ever had. It was super fresh and the staff was very accommodating. Typically the toast isn't toasted and they don't do sweet potato fries early, but the staff was accommodating and that was greatly appreciated. The sweet potato fries were baked and they were addicting. The coffee was just as good! I'm a self proclaimed coffee connoisseur and I approve of their lattes! My husband and I both didn't feel heavy after eating, which is often the case when we eat out due to the processing of food. This was definitely quality food. You do seat yourself, scan the menu and order at the counter. They do bring out the food to your table and pickup your plates afterwards. The food also came out pretty quickly! 10/10 will be returning!!!

For starters. If you're worried about staying here because you think it's like a backpackers hostel with a bunch of people in their early 20's don't be. This place is such a mixed bag. I love it. I just finished having drinks with a guy who had to be at least 40yrs old and his dad. It was great. Now with that out of the way here's my review. You can't come here expecting it too be a hotel; not even a standard lower end hotel like a Best Western or Travel Lodge. And I feel like that's why some people gave it a bad review. This place is different. It's not quite hostel, not quite hotel. But for $54 a night, you can't beat it. It's literally in the centre of the village. The area right by Araxi and Starbucks and all that. The pods are spacious, clean, and have everything that I need (power outlet, comfortable bed, fan, privacy). Too me, that's all you really need when you're in Whistler. You really shouldn't want to spend most of your trip indoor in such a nice town. Also, for you drinkers out there it has all day happy hour for guests and a DJ that plays from day to night. What I like most about this place is the chance of meeting people. You don't get that at a hotel and I feel like one of the best parts about travelling is meeting others. Would I stay here again? If I'm coming with friends I would.

It's Valentine's Day and everywhere is booked except the Living Room at Pangea. I quickly glance through some brief photos others have posted and decided to try it since we were pretty much out of luck for a sit down restaurant. Well it's located inside the Pangea Pod Hotel which looks pretty cool, like an upscale hostel, it's bustling with international visitors and music is pumping from the lounge area, which by the way is also the restaurant. When you walk into the restaurant space it feels like a bar with lights in the ceiling and colourful accents everywhere and windows all around gives every seat in the space a window view. It has an upbeat cool vibe to it and the waiter we had was very friendly and helpful. We ordered the warm spinach salad with roasted eggplant and butternut squash as well as a gluten free flatbread with prosciutto and arugula. Both items came within 10-15 min of arriving! The salad was fantastic as was the flatbread. They have the best gluten free flatbread Ive ever had, not tough or dry or chewy or cardboard like! Ingredients are fresh and well done. If you ever have a hankering for a quick bite and hand crafted cocktails in a casual but 'Euro' funky ambiance, come here, it's also reasonably priced! These two items were just perfect for two people to share. If you're really hungry, order another flatbread!

This hotel was a wonderful experience! I was only here for one night but I was extremely happy with everything. The pod had a bed that was equivalent to the size of a queen size bed. Inside the pod, you have an outlet to charge your electronics and a ventilation fan. Outside of the pod, there is a separate shower, toilet and a mini vanity room. Price- It's reasonable considering how good the location is and how clean the facility is. Prices do fluctuate depending on dates for example one night might be $10-20 more than another (that seems to be the difference between weekend and weekday) Location-5/5 It is the perfect location because it is in the Whistler Village and when you walk down, there are a lot of stores. You're about a 5-10mins walk to the bus stop! This bus area is for public transit and where you're dropped off if you took Epic-rides! Service-5/5 The staff was extremely nice to me. I mostly interacted with Alvin! When I told him about my foot injury, he tried his best to make my stay as comfortable as possible which I really appreciated. He was also happy to answer any questions/concerns I had! Thank you Alvin for everything! Cleanliness-5/5 it was so clean! I didn't see a speck of dust and I'm someone that likes to look carefully at window frames, room corners and I also have a tendency to wipe surfaces before I put my stuff on it. My pod passed my cleanliness test! Wifi- 5/5 no password. It is very quick and stays connected Advice: It gets very cold at night and there isn't enough to cover yourself so make sure you ask reception for a duvet! Bring a lock for your luggage because the pods are covered by a curtain and for extra protection to make sure others can't open your luggage (gives you a piece of mind). There is a small storage that closes in your pod but space is very small (like the size of McDonald's takeout bag). Con: The ventilation fan is extremely loud so you might have to go to reception for complimentary ear plugs or turn off the fan. There is no elevator so going up to your room or reception can be challenging. I had a hard time going up the stairs to reception at 2nd floor because I could barely walk so if you have mobility issues, staying at this hotel will be extremely extremely challenging! Recommend? Yes because staying in a pod is such an interesting experience plus this hotel is close to everything! Make sure to compare the prices on the hotel's official website and on other booking sites!

Pangea is not a hotel but not yet a hostel. My first thoughts about this labelling was 'why?' If they'd labeled themselves as a hostel they would really be the best hostel around. If you try to look at it through an elevated lens past the accommodation of your typical hostel that's when you start to see some kinks. Overall our time at Pangea was exceptional for a place that really at the price you'd think it would be worth only a bed, but the accommodations are nice enough that hanging around the common areas is actually very pleasant. We'd come back! PROS: Friendly and helpful staff A patio space is available to spend time outside and they serve you drinks there Super cheap and delicious food options Super cheap and diverse drink menu Cozy mattress. Our pod felt nice and spacious despite being very small. We had the side entrance pod which is slightly larger than other pods - good prices for central in the Village even in peak season - extremely clean. Very impressive - Multiple single stall bathrooms!! Great for privacy - Nice and quiet because they've split up the pods into 'areas/dorms'. I hardly heard a peep other than the door being super heavy when people went in and out. - Despite the cafe turning into a bar at night when you go up to your room you don't hear a thing - Great communication with guests via text message notifying you of the specials of the day. You can also text staff for any house keeping or toiletries and they will bring them to you CONS: No microwave or fridge. Not even a kitchenette. This really limits your food options because you cannot store anything to eat. Room/pods is inaccessible from 1pm-4pm. Sucked coming back from a day at the spa to not be able to get a change of clothing. You need to plan ahead for this. Very minimal storage space for your belongings inside the pod. Most of our stuff was placed beside our bed rather than the offered storage locker, which would most likely be used for only money pouch and passport Pangea does not offer lock rentals for their lockers Their chef was away so we were not able to order any lunch options, they seemed short staffed which is a problem plaguing all of Whistler right now. It gets a bit stuffy in the pod at night, but nothing too bad

This is honestly one of the cutest hostels I've been to. Got a complimentary drink and also enjoyed breakfast! Pods were clean and cute, it's definitely a younger crowd atmosphere. I would stay here again. It's in the center of everything within walking distance. Worth the price as well.

I spoke to two different concierges (whoever answered the mainline each time I called claimed to be one). I was shocked to find the concierges spoke down to me, failed to listen to me when I was asking for information - substituting instead their assumptions of what they thought I was going to ask for, and insultingly tried to explain to me how websites and phones worked. In addition, they appeared to lack any independent knowledge about who to contact for what. Instead, they would refer me to Google. Had Google answered my questions, I would not have had to call the concierges in the first place. Twenty-four hours before we were to arrive, we learned we could not travel to Canada because our 4.5 month old puppy would not be allowed back into the US until she was 6 months old. I tried to find puppy care on this short notice, but could not. I immediately called bookings.com for help, and they said they were happy to refund me, but Pan Pacific had to approved it before they could do so. Bookings.com wrote and asked for the refund the day before we were to arrive. In addition, I personally called and emailed Pan Pacific that afternoon and again the following morning, asking to cancel with a refund or reschedule for July or August when our pup would meet the US's 6month age requirement. The following day, I received an email from Pan Pacific refusing to refund my prepayment - even though we would not be able to come. They also falsely characterized my request as a same day cancellation. This is not some small B&B or family-owned hotel that may not be able to handle cancellations or for whom a cancellation of a three-night stay in their cheapest room class could have serious financial consequences. The Pan Pacific Hotels Group has a multitude of hotels in at least thirteen countries and advertise on their website that there are more coming soon. I can't think of a single reason why they wouldn't just let me postpone my reservation to later in the summer if they couldn't afford to simply cancel and refund my $700US and change (the total cost of all three nights). Also frustratingly, after refusing to refund my money for a room I couldn't use, they said they would provide me the "courtesy" of adding my family members' names to the reservation. My reservation was for myself, my 12 year-old, and our puppy - all of which was disclosed to them upon reserving the room. Clearly putting the room in my child's or puppy's name accomplishes nothing. And since I paid for the room, shouldn't they be required to let my designee stay in it? Is that really a courtesy? In my opinion, their "courtesy" was a meaningless, valueless platitude that felt, and was intended to feel, dismissive and rude. I truly miss the days of customers being valued and treated with a modicum of respect - or, at the very least, treated with the intention of creating customer goodwill and /or trying to obtain repeat business. Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre really appears not to care at all about their customer experience. And if that's true, wouldn't it be far better to stay at - and support - a hotel that does?

We had few issues with the room upon check-in so we had to go up and down but then it got solved and we got good room. We got a nice complementary chocolate plate from the hotel for our 6th wedding anniversary. Parking was inside the garage and it was for additional cost $40 CAD which is very pricey. We heard that hotel has a free shuttle service to town, as well as drop off with a private car (first come first serve). We didn't used it because we wanted to walk since weather was so nice, maybe next time. Hotel has a few restaurants and cafes. We enjoyed nice lunch at Portobello, I highly recommend their cuban sandwich and Belgium hot chocolate. Breakfast place The Wildflower was very crowded and service was very bad. Most of the people take buffet and if you want to take a la carte you will wait even longer for the food. However, egg Benedict was excellent and cappuccino and latte is speciality coffee and cost extra but it's worth it. We reserved the Wildflower for anniversary dinner. The ambience doesn't feel like in an upscale restaurant, maybe because we used to this as a breakfast place... Food was good my husband took lamb loin, I took elk tar tar that was divine, clam chowder was good as well. But we didn't felt romantic atmosphere, the place was very casual and we felt like we were overdressed. Service was better than service at breakfast. Room was very spacious, we got higher floor with a village view. Hotel was fully booked because it was last day for sky gondola for blackcomb mountain. Pool and spa felt overpacked! There were sooo many kids and few hot tubs were out of service. Overall we enjoyed our stay, however we felt it was bit overpriced. We loved the hotel, the location but service was lacking maybe because of the high demand.

My massage with Zdenka was incredible, and the scalp massage and mask add-on was absolutely divine. I was even surprised with an anniversary gift of spa products when I checked out. The exceptional service continued throughout our stay. The pool service was attentive and relaxing (aside from a few persistent bees!), and the breakfast server--wish I could remember his name-- quickly turned around a small issue at the omelette station (with the inattentive omelette cook) by bringing us a delicious omelette directly to our table. The turndown service was a lovely touch, and the Four Seasons app made every interaction seamless and convenient.
