Booked the night before, used Expedia. I have VIP and was given an upgrade and bottle of wine. The hotel is located in the village near lots of shops and restaurants. The pool and hot tub was small but good enough. Parking is $24 a night or walk about 5 minute in public lot for $10. Room was clean and well equipped. Has stove, microwave, fridge and basic kitchen tools. Staff were very nice and helpful. Check out was fast and easy. Overall, I enjoyed our one night stay. I would stay here again. read more

I simply can not rave enough about this place. When we called ahead about bringing our three dogs the hotel clerk said the more the merrier! When we got to our room, there was water bowls for each of them, treats and towels with poop bags!! Every single staff member is so helpful, polite and friendly!! My husband and I stayed here years ago when we first visited Whistler. We decided to come back for my birthday this year and especially now that we have a 19 month old son. Location was ideal for us since it's located on the north side of the village and away from all the noisy bars and outdoor restaurants. There's a market and several restaurants all walking distance from the hotel. The hotel is about a 10 min walk to the peak 2 peak gondola. There is also a free shuttle that comes frequently to the hotel and drops you right off at the gondola. The parking garage is secure and is $21/night. Wifi is complementary and fast. There is no restaurant in the hotel itself but they do offer room service with breakfast menu. The staff are also friendly and courteous. They always greeted us every time we walked in. Our room was a Queen deluxe studio that came with two queen beds and a kitchenette. Everything was clean and tidy. The kitchenette came with a microwave, mini fridge, sink, and two burner stove. The bathroom was a bit small with very little counter space. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. I highly recommend this hotel. read more

From the moment you arrive the staff is extremely welcoming which is normally not the first expression you get when checking into a hotel. Every staff member has gone above and beyond saying hello or asking how the day was going. I cannot express how much that means in the hospitality industry nowadays. They even have a sweet/Lolly station in the evening so people can fill up there little cone, unfortunately I didn't realise it was just the evening, so thought I would wait for the morning! If you're looking for a place in downtown Whistler walking distance to everything- shops, dining, and hikes... look no further! The place is such a gem! Spa water is always ready right by the elevator and so refreshing as they change the citrus each day and they offer a cute candy bar in the afternoon. The room was clean and had a nice view on mountains. The staff was very friendly and even had a daily joke. MUST LOVE DOGS ! Being a dog owner/lover I obviously have no problem whatsoever , but I can totally imagine some traveller being caught off guard by the unusually high canine concentration . What you have to realize is , at least to the best of my knowledge , this is the only 4 star " boutique " game in town that doesn't charge extra for doggos . Just be prepared to run into four-legged vacationers in the common areas , corridors , and elevators etc . So basically everywhere . A side note : there are pools of water right in front and beside our balcony and insects are having a helluva time hovering above them . read more

A small boutique hotel on the northern, more quiet, part of the village. Our king room was well laid out with a small kitchenette featuring a microwave, stove and a small refrigerator. It comes in handy for heating or cooking small meals. The hotel is pet friendly and I saw a couple of cute pooches walking their owners. Our room didn't have any sign nor odor of pets. The furnishings were comfortable and clean. The bed was supportive and we had restful nights after all day hikes in Whistler. When we were there having an AC is a definite plus in the midst of a heatwave. The front office staff was friendly and accommodating with helpful answers to our many questions. Skip the bubble tea from the spa lounge, get ice cream from one of the places in the village stroll instead. read more

Super modern hotel with friendly staff. Came over on Valentine's Day. After a day on the mountain, we are pretty tired. While checking in, there's cheese and wine served in the lobby. Also in the elevator there's poster saying there'll be movie every night for 5 nights on the 2nd floor theatre. Entering the room, there's a mini kitchen and then in the main room, couch, closet, queen bed, and another sofa and reading lamp by the window. The room looks super clean and smells refreshing. There's a fake fireplace under the TV, even though it doesn't provide heat, but provide cozy look. The bed is super comfortable, and has more support than normal hotel bed which is great, cuz soft bed usually gives me headache next day. They also provide shuttle service to the gondola. Our driver, Pierre, was super nice and easy to have conversation with. There are 3 things I like the most about this hotel. 1. There's a board storage and tuning store right next to the lobby, so we don't have to carry the board all over the place. 2. They use Malin Goetz body product. I have sensitive skin, and use their product often. It's good that I don't have to use some random brand product that later cause skin itchiness. Also they use the big bottle instead of one time bottles which is environmental friendly. 3. There's water fountain and coffee machine next to counter in the lobby. It's more environmentally friendly to get drinks with our own water bottles instead of buying bottled water and coffee all the time. I think the hotel at least consider for the environment, not just trying to make money from selling bottled water. Didn't have time to enjoy the pool and jacuzzi. If we come back to whistler again we'll definitely stay here. read more

Still a great hotel with new storage quirk. Some of the rooms have no longer have a storage cabinet and have this open storage system shown in the photo. There is a coat closet area near door, but no enclosed storage. It was a little odd trying to figure out how to store everything in the open (under garments, etc.) We checked in some friends rooms and not every unit has this system (some have closeable wardrobes/storage cabinets). Not the biggest fan of this, but able to make it work. Wouldn't stop me from coming, but if I was driving up, I'd probably bring a small storage bin or something. Still love the pool/spa area, look of the hotel and friendliness of the staff. Among the items you can check out for the room is a beta fish! read more

My favorite place to stay in Whistler so far. While it's in the North Village, I like this party of the village. I may be a bit further back from the main action but this area has some great eats and cafes like Purebread. The lobby was very nice with a comfortable sitting area and a coffee machine for guests. They had a candy bar in the afternoon which I really enjoyed as it was something fun and different. The hot tub was very much needed after each day of skiing. The rooms very fun and comfortable. The beds are nice and the rooms come with nice Malin & Goetz toiletries. There's a small kitchenette in each room which also comes in handy if you buy some simple items to make a meal from the IGA that's about a 3 minute walk away. Staff was nice. It is a pet hotel meaning dogs all around. My bad I didn't realize it when I booked. Floor was pretty gross. Watched a dog lift leg in wall in hall. Bathroom was clean. Kitchenette was ok. Sheets on pull out were worn and torn. King mattress wasn't too bed. Laundry is one machine each. It was free which was very nice. Parking was tight. Not sure I would stay here again mostly due to the pet issue. When they say the rooms are hypoallergenic, I can't imagine how they clean these when when I only see them vacuum. It takes a little more to clean the room and just vacuum the floor when you have pets and you're worried about allergens. read more

I recently stayed here for a small mid week vacation. This is definitely the slow season, so most prices here are going to be subject to change. Summit Lodge has a modern look, but still feels cozy like other lodges. Inside of Summit Lodge there is a spa, restaurant and a coffee shop. The coffee machine in the lobby is surprisingly good and has a decent amount of options. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hallways could definitely use an update; paint, new carpet and better doors on the rooms. Inside our room a small kitchenette, a couch, bed, small flat screen tv, small table for two, really small bathroom, electric fireplace and a small patio. I actually didn't mind the room once I got use to it. The tv remote was annoying because I had to hold it at certain angle for it to work. The fireplace is only for show because it does not emit any heat. The doors to the rooms don't block much sound so you can hear anything that is happen in the hallways. On the brighter note the kitchenette is fully stocked with silverware. In my opinion I think the location of Summit Lodge is great. It's located at the end of the village, so you can walk though it all and see every shop. Everything is a small walk away, so no need to drive once you get checked in. Overall, my stay here was great and I would recommend it to friends. read more

Nice modern rooms. But shuttles only run til 4pm (last lift from the base ends at 3, but when you're done boarding from the top part of the mountain, you'll often be done past 3) there won't be a shuttle available to pick you up. We've had to pay for several taxis to get us back to our hotel. If you're paying top $$ for a nice hotel, plus $20 parking per night, I wouldn't depend on their shuttle service. Also, we were looking to enjoy the hot tub on two separate nights after a day of boarding, only to find 30+ teenagers, under age 16, unattended at the hot tubs. If you're looking for a relaxing adult vacation with basic amenities taken care of, do not stay here. You can find better for your buck. had a great time staying at this property while in whistler...from the moment you step in and until i left...i felt so welcome and all my needs attended to. the rooms are smaller compared to standard 2 queen places...but the amenities more than made for it. im gonna say it right now, i will stay again for sure! they deserve my biz and more....rooms had a fridge and micorwave plus utensils for eating and stove for cooking....( free ipad mini in room for guests to use in and out of the property) lobby had free coffee/tea! not just your ordinary fare though...it was a machine which churns out lattes, cappuccinos, expressos, mochachinos, hot milk chocolates, etc....simply amazing! off to the side of reception in the afternoon, a free candy bar for guests....liquorice, gummy bears, and various jelly beans....wow! kids were happy! wifi was quick and free all throughout the property. hot tub and pool were great...and best part: free 1 hr bike rental for all guests....with routes which go to lakes and parks...need more time...only $10/hr. but they gave us an extra 15mins free...so became 1hr and 15. all the staff were very helpful and accommodating. on check out day...,they lent me the robes so i could use it at the scandive spa,..and gave me free parking till 4pm so we could further spend time in the village without worry. ive stayed at other properties in whistler and no other hotel has been this good to me!!! another bonus: for hotel guests for the weekend, bfast selection combos only for $5. sandwiches with cookies, waffles , muffins, etc...plus free use if the fantastc coffee machines. cant beat that! if i didnt have to go to work the next day, i would stay another night. its a but pricey to stay but what hotel in the village isnt. location is awesome as close to a mcdonalds, tims, library, restaurants, ice cream, pizza...u name it its like 5-10 mins walk done!! be back soon! cheers! read more

This place is not as close to the gondola as you would be led to believe. And parking is an 8 minute walk through the village. They provide lockers, no valet. Cute kitchenette. Euro-style lanai. Party animals roam in this area at night. Its close to the liquor store. Nice Alpen-glow view. Such a cute little hotel! Very clean and the rooms have character and all have different decorations. Beds are comfortable too. We got the executive king room, it has a kitchenette with 2 burner top and all the kitchenware you can think of. Ours also have a mini fridge for our own food/drinks. Some rooms have a full sized fridge. Our room faces the back of the hotel with a pool view. We were able to check in early (arrived at 12 noon and they had a room ready for us), and we were able to request late check out at noon the next day. Self parking $20 a night. When we checked out, they let us park our car until 4pm so we can go get lunch and enjoy the village. Free wifi. The hotel has a restaurant and spa attached to it. We didn't get a chance to use the pool and sauna. No room service. read more

Definitely a gem! It's a bit on the pricier side for hotels (around $300-400) but I personally think it's worth it! It's obvious they care a lot about the guests because there's little additions like an iPad mini for guests to use in the room & outside, dolls on the beds for kids to play with (you need to pay $29 to keep it though), and interesting soaps/lotions in the room bathrooms There's even a kitchenette in the room with plates & cutlery! :) The employees are super nice/sweet as well! I think it's also awesome that it's such a pet friendly hotel! Ooh also bonus is the free coffee/hot chocolate downstairs! It's super fancy & offers lots of different options for coffee so definitely check that out. If not, there's also a little cafe on the first floor but haven't tried it so can't attest to it. The only downside is that the Parking garage below the hotel ($20/night) is pretty cramped. Overall, one of the cutest hotels we've stayed at! :) read more

Excellent stay at this hotel early december. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Perfect location, 15 min walk from the whistler/blackcomb ski gondola. There is a free shuttle to the ski lifts. Accross the street there is a grocery store and plenty of bar and restaurants. 1 min away from the olympic plaza. There is an electric fireplace in the room, very nice ambiance. I just came back from an amazing trip to Whistler and got to spend 2 nights at Summit Lodge and Spa. Check in: 4pm, Check out: 11am Additional prices: $30 per person, per night for additional people $20 per night for parking The lodge is near the entrance to Whistler Village. The walk from the lodge to the mountain lifts is probably around a 10-12 minute walk. Don't worry, if that scares you, they do offer a shuttle. But seriously...it's not as far as some people make it seem...I think people are just lazy. Whistler village isn't HUGE... everything is walking distance (which I love). The people at the front desks are amazingly kind and whenever we asked for something, they were right on top of it. Also, even though we broke a glass cup by accident and reported it, they didn't even charge us for it, yay. Oh, and on top of that, they gave us a great deal on the hotel. As for the room itself, we got the Deluxe Studio, which consisted of a king sized bed and a pull out couch... plenty of space for 4 adults. The kitchen had a pot, a pan, and 4 sets of everything, from plates/bowls/spoons/folks/knives etc, but don't expect anything grand like a super sharp knife and anything, it's basically just the essentials and nothing special. The stove they have is also pretty weak, it took forever to boil water for noodles. Oh..and the fireplace, isn't real! If you turn it on, it's a fake fire, and then you can turn up the heat on a separate nob. Overall, pretty typical room with nothing horribly bad, and nothing ridiculously amazing. Oh! and the hot tub and pool! With how many people are staying at the hotel, I wish they had either a bigger hot tub..or another one. The hot tub is always full, and people are always scoping it out to hop in (but maybe that's because I went over President's day Weekend...). But on the positive note..the pool is heated, and if you're going during winter, it'll seem crazy cold at first, but once you hop in and swim around, the temperature isn't so bad! I'm a sucker for hot water, so trust me...as long as you're moving around and not standing in one spot, you'll be fine. Overall, a fine experience! I'd give this a 3.5 if I could. Will I go back? Maybe..I didn't have a problem with it at all, but I definitely wouldn't mind scoping out other places around Whistler that could be bigger, better, and closer to the mountain..although..I know that'll mean..bigger bucks too. read more

Me and my husband had never gone to Whistler before and we decided to take a random road trip up from California. Trying to choose a place to stay was difficult because we didn't know the area, but looking at some maps I saw that this hotel was in the main village area and it was one of the cheapest options. We paid about $100 per night plus $19 for parking each night. I thought that was pretty cheap compared to some of the other choices. I booked online for one night at 7am on the day we were going to arrive. We arrived at about 9PM and upon checking in I asked the staff person a ton of questions about Whistler, rentals, the village, and whatever else I had on my mind and she answered all of them happily. She offered us a locker for our ski/snowboard equipment, but I just left our gear in the car. When we got to the room we loved how clean it was, the little kitchenette was definitely helpful to store drinks and keep them cool, the electric fireplace was a nice touch, the flat screen was in front of the bed which was perfect for when we just wanted to lie down and watch tv, and the balcony had the prettiest view of the village. We realized how nice our room was and that there was so much to do in Whistler we wanted to stay a second night. I simply called the front desk and asked them if we could stay another night at the same online rate that I got and they said sure. In the morning we were told the shuttle started at 8AM, so there we were at 8am and the shuttle usually drops people off by the gondola, but because I needed to rent my skiis he actually dropped us off right in front of the rental store, and he also gave us a coupon for rental. You can walk from the hotel to the gondola but it takes about 10 minutes, so we opted for the shuttle. We definitely enjoyed our stay here and when we return to Whistler we would go back to the same place especially for the reasonable pricing. read more

For the price, it's not a bad place to stay at. Summit offered comfortable accommodations, with a decently furnished kitchenette, especially helpful if you want to save a bit of money and reheat leftovers. It's about a 10 minute walk to get to Whistler Square, which is fairly close but if you are heading up the slopes via gondolas, it may be more of a walk (waaayyy more if you're carrying your own equipment). For most of our stay, we dealt with a super duper friendly and (useful) Irish girl at the front desk. She efficiently booked us for our ziplining and bike tours (tip: even if you don't want to go biking, book this because it's cheaper than just getting ziplining!). Since it was summer, we had our windows and balcony doors open to take advantage of the cool mountain air. It was a bit noisy for my liking but probably because we went the weekend when the Kokanee Krankworx event was happening. A town full of mountain bikers and skateboarders turned night prowlers will pretty much do that. However, compared to the hotels in actual Whistler Village (e.g., The Executive --so loud, I can't imagine staying here!!), Summit's located in the quieter part of Whistler. I wasn't too impressed with their check in/out times. I was cross with how a gentleman knocked on our door at exactly 11AM trying to kick us out in the politest way possible...after we had just spoken to the front desk about checking out about half an hour late (and they okayed it). First time that's ever happened to me. My theory is they have a lot of (younger?) partiers staying, hence the need to do extra clean up for their staff. Oh well. Good for budget travellers. It's perfectly right in that middle category where nothing super positive or super negative stands out. read more

Overall it's a typical Whistler-style room, having a few more amenities than you would find in most hotel rooms of comparable price. It had a small kitchen area with mini-fridge, sink, dining-ware, a 27" flatscreen, a decent sized bathroom, and a king sized bed. It also had a small balcony facing a bunch of trees, nothing special. The room had a small table for dining, but no 'business center' which comes standard in some other rooms. It cost me $167 to stay here for the night, which was a bit of a disappointment. I found on a few websites going rates for $89 per night, but the receptionist said that it 'must be a mistake' for that price. She then wrote down on a card "$128" and slid it across to me as if we were exchanging state secrets. It also cost $20 for parking for the night. As it was already getting late, and the lady friend didn't want to go slogging around trying to find something cheaper...we decided to bite the bullet. Overpriced for what you get...and for the same price, you can stay closer to the middle of town. The staff wasn't overly friendly, but they did extend my checkout time to noon, up from 11am...but it did take a bit of pushing. The room service menu is from "Elements: Tapas Bar" downstairs, and while I have not been here myself, I hear that it is pretty good with good sized portions and fairly priced (for Whistler). The bed was very comfortable here though. This place is located by the IGA market and KFC..so all the way on the opposite side of the Village furthest from the gondolas. Bottomline: For the price, stay closer to town. Wholly unremarkable but nothing glaringly negative. read more

What a great place for a getaway in an even better town. Whistler is a winter wonderland and this hotel met my expectations on every front. When you are welcome with a lovely glass of wine, some cheese & crackers, how can you complain? We made the journey up to Vancouver from Los Angeles for a nigh and then took what must have been a dream highway, maybe the stairway to heaven?, to Whistler and this charming boutique hotel. Upon check-in we were upgraded to a one-bedroom suite. My only complaint comes here. I was told that the upgrade was free of charge, but upon check out, we were told we would have to pay for the upgrade. I was told they would look into this and let me know what happens, but at this point I have not heard back or seen a charge. But enough about the griping, back to the good stuff... Our room was on the top floor, end of the hallway and overlooked the pool and wilderness. It was quiet, spacious and just perfect for what we wanted. We had hoped for a real fireplace, but had to settle for one of those electronic fireplaces that blows out hot air. It wasnt the best of touches, especially in a town like Whistler, where the smell of a wood burning fireplace in the heart of winter would be more than perfect. The room included a small kitchen with electric stove, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. We had a market next to the hotel so we grabbed some goodies and even had the opportunity to get in some good breakfast before hitting the slopes. The hotel was also as eco friendy, as the rest of Canada seems to be, and had recycle bins in the rooms. Speaking of the slopes...the hotel offers many cool touches that make skiing on the mountain easier. First off, there is Mark and the shuttle service. Besides being a super cool dude and making the quick trip to the mountain a breeze, the service allowed us to enjoy ourselves after the skiing instead of having to lug our gear through the village and back to the hotel. The proximity of the hotel is not directly on the slopes, so being in gear and taking the trek could be a bit of a hassle. More on the hotel. They offer coffee on the daily, candy and everyone has amazing attitudes. Room service was great, although we did have a towel that was stained upon checking in...nothing a call to the housekeeping couldnt solve. The hotel lacks a bell hop, but they do have luggage carts if you have a lot of gear and they also have a ski shop, Underground Tuning, on site where you can rent gear, tune gear up or store your gear if you are a hotel guest. There is also underground parking for a fee if you make the drive up, which we did. There was no way we were going to miss out on the sights. A warm lobby was always welcoming and you could always find some people hanging out and chatting while enjoying some hot chocolate. We would def stay here again the next time we come up! read more

Room was OK and clean, the staff mostly friendly and helpful. And for $150.00 a night all in I would be happy, but with parking, taxes etc... It was more like $245.00 all in per night. Also the wireless internet totally sucked. But it's Whistler so nothing new there. Here however is a new one, my lady and I dared the chilly rain and went down to the hot tub, hot steamy and wonderful, that is until she found a blood soaked bandage floating in the hot tub and out we went. On our way back to our room we stopped and talked to the front desk staff about our hot tub experience, who advised us that the pool would be closed ASAP and then "sanitized". Well we had a pool view room and yes the pool cover was promptly put over the pool. However the pool was not drained, not disinfected, not cleaned or any thing else we could see and was back in full service at its regular time the next morning. Perhaps "sanitized" just means add more chemicals at the Summit, me, to her and us 100% unacceptable. To make the experience even poorer no one from hotel management even bothered to talk to us, did they even know? We were looking for a boutique small hotel experience and we got one, yuck, Next time I will spend less, stay at the Four Seasons or Fairmont and not have to worry about catching some nasty disease from a polluted hot tub. read more

I love this place a lot. The price is cheap, the location is perfect, and the service is great! I will be coming back here for hotel rooms in Whistler. The rooms were large and comfortable, as they can fit like up to 3-4 people in a room. Even if there wasn't enough beds, we can request for a pull out bed, and more towels, and more blankets. The staff that works here are extremely nice to me and my friends. Every time we pass by them in the halls or the in the lobby they would greet us with large happy faces, and the would offer us special services as well. We enjoyed our time here a lot. And the daily free beverages in the lobby was really the amazing cherry on top experience at this Lodge. The pool is outdoors, and it is right beside a lot of trees, so it does get dirty, but it is always cleaned out by the staff everyday, and night. They keep it nice and tidy for all the people using their facilities. The spa was nice, especially when me and my friends were all having a great time doing our mani/pedi and with some massages.. MAN it was the BOMB!! Just chilling with your magazines, and having some amazing drinks with amazing service. Package was epic. It totally was worth it for the money you spent. I do realize some of their stuff is broken in the hotel rooms though. I brought it up with the front desk that night, and we called it in so I don't get charged on my credit card about it. The bath tub's handle is partially broken and it needs to be fixed, and the microwave had broken glass in it as well. Instantly, the lady told us to come down packed and moved us to a different room on the 4th floor. She upgraded us to a bigger room because I just complained a bit.. AMAZING. Thanks guys!! :D The rooms were cleaned when we came back every day from the hills, and the shopping. The price was at an amazing decent price compared to all of the other Whistler ones. Summit boutique hotel. Checked in at the front desk, asked for extra linens, robes and pillows and went down to park our car. We came up to our room and saw a pile of the linens we asked for on the floor in front of our room FLOOR. No layer underneath or on a tray or trolley. Saw a young man running towards our room picking back up the linens to hand over to me. Hotel still hasn't trained their staff enough to follow clean protocols especially during covid. Wouldn't stay here again. read more

We just recently completed a stay at this hotel and I wanted to express how happy we were to stay at this hotel. The staff was super friendly, the kitchen was full of supplies and the rooms were bright and clean. There was a candy bar for the kids when we arrived and complimentary drinks and chips for the adults. The staff was really friendly and accommodating. The location is at the far end of the village so for a summer outing with the family it is a perfect place to stay. We were beside the playground, library and not too far away from Cows ice cream! We received a one hour complementary bike rental that allowed us to bike to Rainbow park and explore some of the valley trail. A great hotel with a fantastic location. Room was bigger than expected and themed appropriate for a ski/outdoor town (in other words, not like your typical room that could exist in any place) and it had a nice kitchenette and fireplace. The staff was cool and friendly (well, of course, they were Aussies!). The only thing preventing a 5-star review is their horrendous parking garage. We had a minivan and it was a nightmare to navigate down there. Worse still, there wasn't enough parking for all the guests, so you were in a tight space unable to maneuver with two or three other angry guests. Unless you have a motorcycle or a Smartcar, I recommend skipping the garage entirely and arranging for overnight parking off site. read more
