I went to Panic Escape Room with some friends and had a fun time. I didn't know what to expect going in. When we arrived they played a video explaining that you shouldn't break things. Then we entered the escape room to play the game. We had no explanation and barely got an introduction video. The escape room itself was fun. I won't describe it so I won't give anything away but we had a fun. We did not escape, and were not really close to escaping but it was a great team activity for our group. I recommend Panic Escape Room.

Let me start by saying we have done a TON of escape rooms and experiences. This was our first time at Panic Escape rooms. Collectively we decided on the Conjuring escape room. Our lovely host was Cameron and she was so absolutely amazing!!! This room was so fun and there was jump scares so it did not disappoint !!! Cameron was so kind enough to ask if we wanted jump a scares or not so we thought that was so thoughtful. This group of escape rooms are themed to movies which we love. They have everything from the conjuring to saw, to the matrix and even Harry Potter. Needless to say we are coming back panic escape rooms because we are going to try every single one of them. Thank you for this gem!

Here the advertisment clearly states the location as Hoffman Estates, VERY false advertisement

We actually had a full group last year that went and had a good time so I decided to book again just recently. I found a deal through Groupon for the Hoffman Estates location and it was CLEARLY posted on the groupon advertisement. I purchased the Groupon and then tried to book my event. However, I was very disappointed that they refused to honor my Groupon because they claimed it was a mistake that Groupon made about the location. The gentleman I spoke to even saw the Groupon listed at the Hoffman Estates location and admitted that to me but told me that the business owner won't honor it and that I would have to contact Groupon to work it out. As a customer I do not agree with how this was handled. They should have honored this Groupon. I obviously had to go back and cancel my order which will take 10 business days to process back to my account. I have now moved my business to a different escape room and will no longer consider Panic Room for future events NOR will I recommend it to any of my friends and family. My advice is be careful and really make sure they are clear on any discounts and deals ahead of time, they may just change their mind or decide to not allow them. OR maybe just find a more reliable escape room in your area.

So much fun! Recommend for friend group or date night. Love the spooky vibes and effort they put into the details.

My first escape room experience, which I found to be about the right amount of challenging as our group did the Arkham Asylum room.

There's plenty of parking which is always a plus. As soon as you walk up to the entrance you'll see a sign for Odyssey. We came 15 minutes before our reservation time. During this time they just want to review the safety guidelines with you before they taken you into the room for your game. We did the "Towering Inferno" and unfortunately did not make it out alive. The rooms are clean and the staff are all friendly. I don't have other places to compare to but in my opinion I can say this place is low key in technology. When we first entered the room, a staff member gives you the plot by reciting the story. I guess I wanted a more dramatic storyteller but it felt like a low key lecture I guess? 2 people can definitely solve it but it would've been better if we had at least 3 or 4 people. For this challenge, I would say about half of it is solved on computers. The other half are lock combinations. At the end we were told the last bits of info of how we could have finished and escaped. They will take a picture for you inside the room at the end and also offer a group picture with signs in front of their Odyssey sign in the main lobby. I felt like this was a pretty good experience. Again, the space is clean and I am interested in coming back to try their other escape rooms. Don't try to walk-in, make sure to make a reservation on their site! Google for a discount code before you reserve a room. I also saw people mention something on Groupon for deals.

Overall we had plenty of fun with the puzzles but the reason I gave it 4 stars was because our room had a window wall and a creepy man walked up and started staring at us, he went away in about 2 minutes but it was definitely scary. This was a great experience though and I would recommend coming for a difficult but fun room.

Out of maybe the 5 or 6 different places I've been to for an escape the room (some out of state, some around the area), this was my favorite one. With only 3 reviews seen on Yelp, I was a little hesitant to choose this place over so many others in the area. Groupon gave us a good price, so we went with this, and I'm glad we did. We did the "my crazy ex" room, which was great, and I hope to be back for the high school reunion, which the owner said had some scary features added to it. He said he used to work with haunted houses too, so I'm pretty interested in seeing what that one is like. It is similar to other escape the rooms where you find clues and input it in the locks to unlock the various locks in the room, but this was was so techy that they used other creative tactics to unlock boxes, drawers, etc. To be honest, I at first thought it was a little lame because I thought the person watching us just opened things with a press of a button when we did different actions, but I asked later on, and he showed us how different things worked. Hard to describe without giving spoilers of the room, but I'd have to say I was seriously mind blown about how creative things were and how fancy the technology was here. I loved this factor added into it. They have a 10 minute game that's only $5 a person on certain hours of weekdays, so we will most likely be back for this too! I definitely was hesitant at first to come here due to a few things (barely any Yelp reviews, homemade looking winner/loser signs/a few things that made it not look as professional or techy (the Hotmail email address :D....sorry, break escape for throwing you under here), but after experiencing their room, I'd really have to say there is a mastermind here who made these and put these rooms together. Not sure how this place only got 3 reviews, but I'd highly recommend coming here and I'll be back for sure! Thanks break escape!

Let me tell you, it did not disappoint! The new location within the Bell Works Chicagoland campus is a thing of beauty. The design aesthetic is what you would expect from a high end brand like GNO and the best part is that they make it feel inviting and like home. Just like at home, we kicked off the evening in the kitchen area greeting friends and ordering drinks. I really liked that we had the option to cater food through a GNO catering partner or coordinate a pot luck amongst our friends. The hosts were amazing and it was an honor to have the man, the myth, the legend Alex live and in person with us! I am not the type to break out a board game for fun, but my friends and I agreed that GNO is on a different level and has a game to meet the knowledge, interest and physical ability of every player. 2 hours of fun, games and laughs flew by and each of our friends who attended for the first time were raving about their evening and how they were planning to tell their friends, family, and employers about GNO. It is obvious that the owners (Brandon & Aaron) have dedicated their time and talent to curating a unique experience that brings families and friends together. If you are interested in a game night but don't want to go through the hassle of hosting, GNO to the rescue!
