They had the museum open for the Pioneer Fall Festival which is the third Sunday of September every year. This house is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. I visited during the Fall Festival, the house was open for tours with cute elderly ladies in each room offering up details and descriptions of each room. The house and property are well maintained. The interior house is filled with lovely historic memorabilia. As you enter the home the room to the left had an ornate chandelier, fancy stove and flowery original carpet. There was also a nice lady playing the piano which was a nice touch. A bedroom upstairs contained the original Bruce Family bedroom set. Other rooms had items donated by local families. Tours are offered during the summer on Friday and Saturday afternoons from 1:00pm - 4:00pm Tours by Appointment call 509-337-6157 or 509-337-6632. A membership is offered for the Waitsburg Historical Society. The brochure did not specify how long the membership was valid. Amanda couldn't have been nicer and for my pendent I could choose from the type of chain at no additional cost. I'm not sure if the chain is included for mail orders. Looking at the options it really makes you think of your drinks in a different way. So you can have a memento of your favorite potent potable or do what I did and choose by color. My pendant is a gorgeous blue from a Bombay Sapphire gin bottle with a smaller clear ring. This is definitely high-end recycling and I loved their ingenuity and style.
