We decided to give this location another chance because we haven't had good luck with getting consistent quality pizzas over the last year. I have to say that today we ordered the Shaq pizza and it was the best pizza we have got from Papa John's in a long time. It had the right amount of cheese, sauce and pepperoni. One thing that this location has that is consistently good is the delivery driver, he's an older man who is always kind and polite! They remade in a hurry and when my husband brought it home the pizza was soaked in tomato sauce ( after ordering light sauce) very little meat and veggies. So whatever but after 30 minutes I checked my email because it never sent me a text and it said it was going to take 81 to 91 minutes. WTH! I called and he told me it would be 1.5 hours to 2 hours. I have to express my dissatisfaction with this particular establishment. There aren't a lot of options within delivery range, so despite us never having a positive experience my wife continues to order from here. Tonight, like many nights before she placed an order for delivery. 2 large pizzas and an order of cheesy bread. She placed the order at 6:11pm, and was given a delivery time of 22-33 minutes. At 7:12pm she called inquiring as to the current estimated time of arrival. The girl that answered told her that they were *just* coming out of the oven, and that they would be taking them to us directly. Cool. The delivery driver showed up at 7:36pm, apologizing for it taking so long... hmm but didn't he *just* leave? The credit card receipt he handed to us was ours, but it had already been signed by someone else... not cool. The pizza was what was ordered, but was stone cold. It didn't come out of an oven 24m prior. It looked over an hour old, like it was riding around in a car on the wrong route, and had been delivered to someone else. Called and spoke with the same girl, who quickly handed me off to the manager Fred, a man just bursting at the seams with personality... He offered to replace the order in the future for free. I respectfully declined as that doesn't assist in feeding myself nor my family this evening. Fred skirted responsibility now blaming his staff, two such individuals were cited as not having come in for work. Unreliable staff sure is a pain in the butt, so is cold pizza delivery an hour late. Only after some no doubt uncomfortable silence did he get the drift and "let me keep the pizza" and "void the transaction" albeit with a begrudging tone. Super sweet Fred, way to manage. I asked him if he was Fred, he said no, and then popped around the corner calling out his name. Another young man came up front. I asked if he was Fred? He just stared at me but offered no answer. Have been ordering from here since roughly 2011, the pizza is great, several of the cashier's know me since I normally pick up my pizza in person since this location does not deliver to my address and they're always very polite. However, yesterday was a rough day for me having to deal with a car tire, work, and a long wait time of 49-59 minutes. Didn't mind the wait since I understand it was busy because of Labor Day. However, after showing up when the app marked my pizza ready for pickup I waited about 20 more minutes in the building with a couple of other people also waiting for theirs. With no one at the counter to acknowledge or give me a status on my order. I didn't want to make a scene and cancel my order by going to the kitchen where the employee's were so ultimately, I ended up leaving without picking up my pizza and ordering wienerschnitzel from across the high way. I'll likely be doing a charge back on the order, it's not the employee's fault, but this place was obviously not staffed for this level of traffic and order volume. Overall during the weekdays I'd recommend ordering from this location; for any holiday or weekend you're better off getting food somewhere else. They said two hours online. I waited two hours. Called to ask about how much longer it would be (I was hungry at 5 when I got home). They said it was on top of the tray and should be going out any minute. An hour later, at ten, I called again to ask if I could simply cancel my order... and was put on hold, then hung up on. Then my pizza was severely undercooked and the pizza was smashed in the side of the box when I called to complain they told me I had to take a picture of it when I first opened it and then told me to bring it in when I said to the manager I can't that's why I had it delivered he said there was nothing he was willing to do about it. Many times i have ordered pizza and never received the pizza at all. Calls to the store go un answered or they put you on hold as soon as they do answer and then hang up on you after 20 minutes. If you pay with a credit card they will take their time refunding your purchase. Calls to the 800 customer service number is more of a waste of time than calling the store. I don't know when Papa John's changed their recipe...but the Works pizza I ordered looked exactly like the MEATS pizza...I couldn't FIND the peppers, onions, and olives for all the globs of cheese on top. It was delivered quickly, the driver was wonderful (Rita). We had decided to switch to Papa John's, tired of another close-by pizza place. (Papa John's used to be our FAVORITE). But with this spongy, globby mess, too sweet sauce, paper-thin slices that APPEAR to be pepper slices, non-existent onions...I'm SO disappointed in this order. I called to complain...waited on hold for all of 9 minutes, then hung up. Had to call back an hour later...and the manager was totally not helpful. He really didn't care that I had a problem with the product. He offered me another pizza...why would I want two of the same thing? I don't know if this helps anyone. So we ordered a pizza over the phone and asked for several toppings. Jessica the girl who took our order said it would be ready in 15min. I really don't live far so I took off right away to go get it. Well I get there at 2:40 and I pay and she said it would be out in a couple of minutes, no big deal. Well while I was waiting I over hear them in the back discussing among themselves that they forgot to put the jalapeños on the pizza, I assumed it was my pizza but I didn't bother to ask because it could of been a different order. So I was still waiting it had been almost 15-20 min since I had paid. Jessica then comes to me and sais " they forgot to put your jalapeños in your pizza so the made another one it'll be right out." and I said " ok , that's fine. ". Again no big deal I didn't mind, it was probably and honest mistake. I walk outside to get something out of my vehicle and Jessica comes out behind me and hands me my pizza and I was ok cool I can go home now and eat. Well when I get home noticed that the pizza had jalapeños thrown on them and it wasn't a new pizza fresh out of the oven it was the first pizza that they forgot to add the jalapeños on with toasted jalapeños on them. I knew it's wasn't a new pizza because toppings will usually melt within the cheese, these jalapeños literally were thrown on top and you could easily flick them off. They heated the jalapeños and threw them on top. I should've gone back and asked for a refund because 1. She lied. 2. I was waiting for a long time 3. I wasn't informed about the mistake. If she had asked or told me about it I would have taken it home the way it came out the first time. I'm not a picky person but she didn't even bother. very dissatisfied, the Meats pizza had very little meat on it and my order was wrong. i ordered Honey chipotle wings and when i got home i found i had barbecue wings, when I call the New Caney store the manager [Ronnie] told me to bring the wings back and he would give me the right one and that all he could do, i am not going to drive 20 miles around trip for their mistake when they do deliver in my area but he refused to deliver the right wings, when i told him i would go on line and write a bad review he remarked "OK, GO AHEAD". this store have Horrible customer service and a Horrible manager. read more
