hired this company in April 2023 for a job to be completed in 30 days. took a large deposit and…read moreshowed up end of June to do job and then again in July and never came back. reached out numerous times and never fully got an answer on completion or even showing back up. told me that he was busy and didn't only work for just me. i totally understand that he could have other jobs but never once an explanation or an answer. then i had to hire someone else to do the job and the wood that Troy Clark ordered for my job was all the wrong size wood and the posts he did put in were obviously used cause they were starting to rot. i have asked him numerous times to come to an agreement to get my deposit back and of course he will not answer that. told me to have my lawyer call him. the wood that was here i had to pay to have picked up and purchase the correct stuff. not only did he ruin my summer months of leaving my home open to all the elements he also left my backyard unsafe for many months with the huge beam up in the air. i do not recommend this company on so many reasons.

It's been over a month and NOTHING!! Husband called several times and no return calls. Hummmm?? Okay hopefully for Apex they got really busy with windows, gutters, roofs, whatever. But no time for a call? Sounded like owner had workers and believe me the windows in this house could be done by grown men in less than half a day. Not a bad way to earn $250. Just my opinion. So here we are 1st of June and no window washer. My experience with window washer is that they are not dependable. Apex is certainly not. I am approaching 80 years old and once again having to clean them myself. Lucky for me I can still do myself and I do enjoy the pace that I can set but it really would have been great to have them done. Oh by the way, since mister Apex owner was so prompt the first day, I took off all of the window hangings and cleaned the window sills to make things easier for the workers. We have 2 tips that we think can take the business to the next level. There must be a clear understanding between both parties when doing the estimate. This will reduce the need for scope creep in the project. For projects that require cleaning up, you need to make sure there is a plan to remove the trash. You take it with you, or it needs to be bagged in contractor bags to be put out periodically with the trash. I wish your business the best. Contractor sub-contracted the work (without informing me know) and the sub-contractor damaged the walls by using incorrect pressure washer jet nozzle, ruining the foundation of house (knocked out mortar from foundation blocks). Brought this to their attention and they agreed this wasn't part of the original invoice, nor was it the intention. They told me to fix their mistake they must charge me an additional $900 on top of previously agreed upon price. This company does not do they work, they sub-contract it out. Your results will depend on who is available at the time to do the work. There are good reviews from people who have had good sub-contractors come in. There are also bad reviews from people who had bad sub-contractors come in. If a bad sub-contractor damages your property, it will become your financial responsibility to have it fixed.

When his bid came in, we had no reservation to say yes to him! And Stately totally delivered. They were there on time, told us every thing being done in the process, each of the guys were fun and personable, and they ended each day by totally cleaning everywhere they worked. They made a very expensive project fun and easy. Steven even took over the painting after we had an issue with our painters. We added things on and he did them for us. [Emphasis JCi's.] On 12/20/2022, I emailed JCi noting that I'd apparently not made its list after all and that I'd look elsewhere for a reliable contractor. The response included an apology with excuses about workload and weather, and an offer that if the weather warms up he could "try to get out there" -- not exactly the 'firm' commitment he'd made in October, so I once again stated that he needn't worry about it as I 'd look for someone reliable. JCi emailed again late on 12/29/2022 with an offer that he "may be able to come by" the next day -- once again, not a firm commitment to actually showing up, so for the third time I responded that I'd look for someone else -- some reliable. JCi replied on 12/30/2022 that, "I wasn't really interested in working for you after that last email but I was going to fit you in...". And there it is -- with JCi, I am the bad guy despite being clear in my very first inquiry that I was looking for someone RELIABLE. I am the bad guy despite the fact that JCi failed to keep a firm commitment to clean my gutters before winter [There's a word for that, and it's not "Reliable"]. I am the bad guy because JCi couldn't be bothered to let me know they couldn't keep their commitment [Reliable? Guess again!]. I am the bad guy here because I have this outdated notion that fulfilling one's commitments and keeping customers informed are actual evidence of being reliable -- not promises that I'll "try to get out there" and I "may be able to come by", all the while hedging your actual level of commitment by noting there are still other customers still needing service.
