The service is always friendly and accommodating depending on your group size, probably best to call ahead of time for large groups as its big enough to be a cafe but not large enough to be classified a restaurant in Sydney. All the produce used in the food is fresh and most likely of organic origins (which I'm guessing on the decor and vibe). Simple and clear menu has some classics like a Chicken Schnitzel but done with a humble salad and chipotle that transports your tastebuds. Breakfast has some healthy-ish options but these are taken in consideration with the core component of the meal. Take the Bacon and Egg Roll, it's served as a burger and the barbecue sauce commands the dish. Cakes and pastry is sold as eat-in and take away items (which change every so often), coffee and milkshakes as well. The gingerbread is a favourite of mine - super refreshing for the sinus. At the end of the day, this is a humble little place that 's rustic feel and pastel interiors make it feel homely and the food cements this feeling. A place to return for sure.

This is an Eastern European inspired/infused cafe. Meaning that the food here is great. If you don't know what Eastern European food is like, trust me, it is meaty goodness. Now, they also serve the stock standard breakfast and sandwiches, but don't shy away from the different - as that is the best thing about eating here. The Corn fritters here are great! But don't go past the huevos rancheros, seriously worth the try. The coffee here is good, not great, but good. But this is not the reason that you come - you come here for the food. Now, the space is small, so you might have to wait. Or just get take away. They do a special if you order one of their rolls (get it is with the spiced tomatoe sauce) and coffee takeaway, so that is always an option.

The pork belly was a little disappointing, it came out over cooked and tough. All in all, I'd recommend going for the grilled chicken, and pretty much anything that's chargrilled. The other tables seem to enjoy the meat skewers too. I'll check that out next time.

Silva's gives you their self-proclaimed 'healthiest chicken burger' with chips and a soft drink for $10.50, or the burger only for $5 (takeaway). Whilst the burger and chips is a little pricier to eat in ($12.50) you're more than welcome to buy your take away burger and eat in on the roadside tables outside the shop. The atmosphere might not be much, but if you've listened to anything I've said, then you'll know you won't be thinking about the atmosphere after your first bite. Silvas also sells a range of salads and rolls, and is particularly famous for its Portuguese BBQ chicken as well (whole chicken $13.50). And to Isty's, my previous Chicken Burger love, I still love you but you should know that there's someone else in the picture now. I know that you're not the same, so I'm trying not to make comparisons between the two of you, but Silvas Portuguese Chicken burgers have opened my eyes to the possibility that perhaps you're not the only one for me.

You're looking at around $20-$30 for a literal bag of seafood. We got 2 bags, corn, potatoes, 2x soft drinks and calamari starter and it came to around $75. Pretty good! Next time we might also get rice to mop up some of the extra sauce. This was a great find, worth the short drive (we usually don't venture far from our Erskineville bubble). It's perfect for some messy, casual, delicious fun. We get a table, then see an angry bad-tempered waiter jumping out of the kitchen and approaching us while pointing at his watch and at the door, and saying they were closed. We told him the sign at the door said something different. He then said the kitchen closed at 8.30pm (as if we should know). We said we were going to leave, but he grumpily asked us to stay although although clearly unhappy with our presence. Other patrons stared. The sauce was creamy, and the vinegar flavor kills the fattiness taste just fine. That was a big plus. We inhaled half and the chicken and half the pork belly portion pretty quickly.
