I recently started a Etsy shop (Reverie Designs Canada) and taking orders online for wedding invites, banners, menus, etc. I picked Paperland to outsource my printing as the location, quality & service is excellent. I had to get something printed in black ink and they were actually able to do it on the spot as they had the paper in stock and they were not too busy at the time. After 20 mins I was able to get my printed material. Sweet! I love not having to come back. It was nice of them to offer to print it on the spot for me. I dealt with Eva (the owner) and Margaret who was very nice and got it all done very efficiently. I really love their Stardream/Curious papers. I love this stationary store! They have such lovely paper products and beautiful designs!! I got my wedding invitations made here after a long search. They turned out so much nicer than those standard ones on wedding websites. It's one of my favourite items from my wedding. Designing and ordering is quick and easy. I recommend you go to the shop and they can help you and also calculate all the costs for you. It's not cheap but it's very affordable and a better deal than anywhere else. When it comes to all things paper for the DIYer, this is probably the best kept secret in the GTA! I LOVE this store. I absolutely adore it. We're making our own wedding invitations from scratch and this store is an absolute gem in helping us to source the right paper for our needs. I love paper. I love the feel of a well made paper against my skin. This store has a small storefront with a small retail area that is packed with paper in all sorts of colours, textures and weights. There's really no need to go running around looking for your perfect shade, because you'll likely find it here. The staff is pretty easy going. Especially if you speak with Paul, if he's there (I think he's the owner), the service is extra special. The price is very right here and is the most inexpensive we've found for quality paper. In the middle of the retail area, there's a table stacked with pre-made envelopes for sale as well as binders full of invitation ideas. There's some older samples that are good for moments of levity in the middle of the very serious business of looking for that matching texture. There's a small selection of ribbon and other stationary goodies for sale as well. They also offer custom paper-related services such as cutting, printing, custom-made envelopes, etc. Paperland is a great place to glimpse the microcosm of wedding planning as you'll get to see all sorts of bride/groom/family dynamics in the practice of choosing paper. Located in the middle of nowhere-industrial-land, it's a bit hard to get to if you don't have a car, and very easy to miss, however, I would say, this is well worth the trip! read more

Great place for DIY! I ordered all the materials for my wedding invitations here and self assembled them! In hindsight, it was a LOT of work, so be prepared and gather many people to help out. Pros: Great selection of paper, helpful & very knowledgeable staff. Prices are very affordable. Cons: I find their hours very inconvenient, they are only open during regular work hours so I really had to go out of my way to make multiple visits. During the summer they are very busy and I had to wait every time I was there. I wish they would take appointments. read more

We used paper land for my daughters wedding. They screwed up the whole seating chart. We sent them the names and table numbers all in order. They sent us a copy to review and it was fine but when they printed it on the big board they had screwed up all the table number so people were seated with people they didn't know and there was all this confusion and people standing around. When we contacted them they were very rude and blamed us for their error. Never use this company! They should be out of business! they don't even deserve a star rating. read more

I went there to find nice envelopes, I saw some nice ones on the table, but the price is ridiculously expensive, they sell them individually.... because they said that those ones are 'custom made'. I suspected that they were 'left over' from the previous orders. Because each package only have around 10-20 envelopes left. I was quite disappointed for that. They have lots of nice paper , card stock though. However, it's not on my shopping list. so, I just left the store after acquiring the price of the envelopes. I will not go back again. read more

I used to come here around 15 years ago when I was a design student and needed to find specialty papers at student-friendly prices. I recently got back in touch with Paperland to help me with the production of my wedding RSVP cards and they were just as awesome as ever. They carried the exact stock that I was looking for and they offered to do the printing and cutting for an extremely reasonable price. We hashed out the details over email and when I came in, everything went smoothly they turned my job around in less than 20 minutes. I couldn't be happier! read more

The woman my friend and I worked with seemed nice at first... but unfortunately, she revealed herself to be extremely unprofessional. When we picked up the books that we requested, all the pages were out of order. I pointed out the mistake and they said it was our fault, and that if we needed a fixed version we'd have to pay them again. I then said it was unfair to put all the blame on us. She started to angry and raise her voice, and exclaimed "No, we are perfect!" At that point I realized that there is no point trying to reason with them any further. Normally, I would be more forgiving, but the way they handled the situation shows they have little accountability and integrity. If you're going to use Paperland, be wary that if something does go wrong with the printing, they may blame you and expect you to pay again. Disappointing. :( UPDATE: When we finally got our book, which cost us $135 at that point, the pages started falling out as we flipped through it. It really sucks that after everything we went through, the quality of the print job was horrendous too. read more

The shop staff are super nice and resourceful when you need help, and all the paper DIY supplies are reasonably priced. If you are looking for place with all the fancy stuff and high end feeling, this is not your place. But if you are looking for a cozy and handy little shop that carries a large variety of paper for you to start a new project like journal making, you might want to check this place out. I noticed they have professional printing facility so I guess might offer customized printing service as well. read more

We use a lot of papers for our business and we have been ordering from Paperland for at least the last 2-3 years. The selection of paper is fair and the price is quite affordable compare to the major retailers. There were a few times the paper quality was poor. The owner, a lady, was nice and willing to exchange the stock for us. There is one staff, named Margaret, who is not helpful and is extremely impatience and impolite. Unfortunately, she is the one who answers our calls most of the time. If you are looking for a pleasant conversation (who doesn't), try to avoid her and talk to somebody else. read more

The most horrible and rude customer service I have ever received. I hired Heidi to do my seating chart for my wedding on December 1, 2018. I was told to change my word document file to an excel spreadsheet so she could use it to import the seating list onto her design. I did as she asked and went over my spreadsheet 3 different times to confirm it was correct. When she sent me my design I OK'd the printing once it was what I wanted (not thinking I would have to quadruple check my own work). The seating chart was wrong. It completely ruined my wedding, my guests waited 2 hours for the hall to rearrange the tables so there were enough seats and everything got pushed back. It wasn't the fact that a mistake was made but it was how it was handle that really upset me. They were told not to contact me because of how upset I was but instead still did, not to apologize but to put the blame on me for not making sure the table numbers were correct on the design, even though they should have been imported from the excel spreadsheet I sent them and already confirmed was correct. Heidi, as well as her boss, were rude, unprofessional, disrespectful and caused a lot more stress and upset than was necessary. After many arguments with them they refunded what I spent on the seating chart but made sure to add in the email "Please noted that the refund is not because of whoever mistake. The job was perfectly done as the layout have been approved." If you do use this company, which I highly recommend NOT TO, check their work with a fine tooth comb because if they do something wrong they will put the blame on you. read more

Wow! It IS a little gem in the area =) Tiny store but it has everything you need in terms of paper and crafts. I need to make some program cards and other things for my wedding. Stepped into the store and you know it's the right one! Lots of choices and the price is good. Paul is very knowledgeable and showed me what i can do with the papers (like adding an extra layer to make it harder). It's too bad that I had some stock invitation cards made already. Poor customer service, couldn't get anything done in the end there. First staff we talked to was semi-helpful but talked by a script and couldn't answer extra questions. Sent email as follow up with no response. Called, got a different person, forwarded the material to this next person, who promptly forgot to reply when asked about details. It's not like I was shopping around casually, I made it fairly clear that I want to put in the order now, how do we go about settling the detail/payment for that? No reply. Decent selection of paper stock and envelopes with good prices if you plan on digging through the pre made section. 2 employees were very helpful while Margaret was incredibly rude. After waiting 20 minutes for an employee to let me pay for what I wanted to buy (on my third trip to the store) I was incredulously asked, "are you going to buy something? I'm leaving now." It's too bad one person could sour my experience so much. If you don't like being in customer service, don't get into retail. read more

I have been their customer for 4 years now and it all started with doing my wedding invitation there. It was great so I decided to continue using them for my business printings. But their service is deteriorating badly until a recent event has completely lost my trust and loyalty to them. They screwed up my usual order once before, but I let it slide. Then this time around, I order the SAME thing like usual and after calling twice in two weeks, they have now completely forgotten my order. No phone calls, no emails. They promised me a week, then I called after a week, it was not done and said will call when it's done. I've given up on them and used another place. read more

I have only been to this horrible place 1 time and I would never go back. The service is very bad. There were 2 people working there when I went and never not even once asked if I needed help while I was standing at the counter. They didn't even look at me. After waiting for a while, I had to say something for them to talk to me. And when I got them to talk to me, I asked if they had what I was looking for, they didn't answer my 1 question and left to talk to a new customer. WHAT THE FUCK is that?! Sooo ruuude!!!
