My group and I had a great time here . We were taught how to throw them and make games out of it.

    Fun World - Inside

    Fun World

Fun World is pure nostalgic FUN. Don't come here with the highest expectations thinking you're…read moregoing to a Dave and Busters or any other modern day arcade. They still use tickets rather than digital points on a card. Still use tokens too. Bring some cash in to skip the main office line. The building definitely needs some love cosmetic wise. When you step in, it's a throwback for sure. But the kids and families overall seem to all enjoy during their visit. We definitely did. It's a great visit while it's cold out. This place is basically an indoor carnival filled with old school (and new) arcade games, huge indoor playground ($12 per kid), two-story carousel, indoor roller coaster, and another moderate speed spinning ride called the Himalaya. Based on other folks photos I spotted a Ferris wheel within the playground. Not sure if it's still there or functional though. Great toddler area where they have a bunch of games and coin-op rides. Some were super throwback. A few candle pin bowling lanes that's coin op too. Supposedly there's a Ferris wheel indoor too.. Good amount of parking--although it's a little rough shape so leave your Ferrari at home. Bring the mini van. They have hand sanitizer all around so keep the germs down. Enjoy and have a fun time.

I love how this place hasn't changed since I was a kid. Every other arcade uses cards to reload,…read morebut nothing beats having a cup of tokens and a full bag of tickets to redeem. Great prices, you get a lot of tokens and there are plenty of games to choose from (each one requiring 2-4 tokens from what I saw). Staff were helpful and friendly. Food was good and the place was clean. Great place to spend a day (:

First stop: Edson Cemetery (about 10 minutes away) to visit his burial plot, which would prove to be more profound and interesting to me. (I'd recommend that and skipping this park, to be honest.) Lowell seems to be a town struggling and it was heartbreaking to see so many people suffering and asking for help at almost every corner as I tried to get here. Then when I got to the park itself there were a few homeless people on the outer benches which made me feel like an idiot when I pulled out my phone to document my visit. All that being said... I think it's cool (and meaningful) that 'Ti Jean' was given a memorial park in his hometown. The park's small. Some benches are spaced between concentric columns. There was also a ping-pong table as well as plenty of trees off to the side. Some of the columns that have etched quotes and tidbits regarding Kerouac are faded/damaged and hard to read. Parking was an issue. (Litter all around was another.) Even the most devoted fans of Sal Paradise might not dig coming here. (If I were much braver I would've loved to swing by Arthur's Diner across the street which looked EXACTLY like the kind of place the Beats would've frequented to ramble and rant and preach and maybe even do a bit of writing about their most recent experiences out and about in the world.)

This park has cool history but it is pretty busy during the day & very small in size, and might be…read morebetter to see early in the morning or sunset. Parking is doable in the area.
