Papier Plume, New Orleans - pens, blotter, ink, inkwell, wax
    Stella K.

Stumbled upon a this little shop while walking around the French Quarter. They sell pens, ink, inkwells, stationery, paper, journals/notebooks, and gifts. I'd love to spend more time browsing in this store next time I'm in New Orleans. Definitely worth a visit if you are interested in fountain pens. :) Glass dip pens https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=C97LmNbaaO9j9lyf9SdSuw&userid=isQotFiKU_S_TI4Qt4MtMQ Display https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=0w-aV_vaXMXleCTAif5gag&userid=isQotFiKU_S_TI4Qt4MtMQ .

This store is just completely awesome! I was on vacation with two kids both budding artists. The owner really took the time to learn their needs and showed them items in their desired areas. The kids really had a great time and the time the owner spent with them made their purchases even more special. The store is full of pens, inks, art supplies and great journals. A fun place to explore.

A must-visit for anyone interested in fine writing instruments, stationery, journals, greeting cards and related fun items like wax seals, and elegant magnifying glasses. Patrick, Amanda and Jason are very service-oriented and knowledgeable. I purchased a couple fountain pens and journals and found the prices to be very competitive. I even stopped in twice during my three day visit to New Orleans. I will visit anytime I am in town.

Boy I wish I had known about Papier Plume before the holidays!! Found myself perusing down Royal St and stumbled into this adorable little print shop. In the back, there's a glass viewing window where you could see someone working on a calligraphy project - so neat. I am in love with stationary stores! Papier Plume will be a frequent stop of mine whenever in the quarter. I can't wait to utilize their Christmas cards and prints for years to come!

Everything about this store is magical and fantastic to me. This may not be the case for everyone. Loved every inch of this square space and the paper and pen products they carry. Got some wax seals for Christmas. The lady was very informative and helpful in doing a demo to help me visualize the end result. Thank you.

It's shops like Papier Plume that transport you to Europe... or at least back in time to the days before malls. No better place in the city for stationary, writing instruments or special gifts for those who value old time pen & ink writing. Perhaps a leather-bound guest book for your home? You'll find it here. The shopkeeper and his staff are all very knowledgeable and anxious to help you select the perfect gift for you... or someone special.

High quality paper products, many of which are lovely. Service was excellent. And it's in a good location on the quiet end of a quarter.

On a previous visit, she took the time to help us figure out what kind of ink cartridge our fountain pen used.

During my initial meeting with Margaret, I told her I needed a chuppah, and that I would like my bouquet to be stargazer lilies. Within 24 hours I received several options for my bouquet, and a quote for the chuppah. I took all of Margaret's suggestions for my other arrangements, and everything looked amazing!! I feel that Margaret went above and beyond in her preparation for my big day and stayed well within the budget we discussed. She is a vendor that will continuously make you feel special throughout the planning process, and she is extremely organized. Did I mention that she is also EXTREMELY calming?? I would (not purposely) end up venting to her about other things wedding related and she always had a great explanation. I highly recommend Giverny Design for any floral needs.

I'm so glad she did because it was great to meet her in person and to be able to look at photos together to discuss my preferences, colors and overall vision of the flowers at my wedding. When I went down to New Orleans for a walk-through of my venue, she stopped by as well so she could review the placement of the arrangements with my coordinators. And then the flowers - when she arrived at my room when we were getting ready for my wedding I was absolutely overjoyed! The bouquets were so gorgeous and perfect! We had so many compliments on them, as well as the centerpieces at the reception, all night long. I would recommend Margaret wholeheartedly both as a wonderful person to work with and an amazing florist!

It was filled with dogs and people walking around. I picked up this horrible crafted coffee pot by seller #37 and held it like your supposed to do with my three fingers in the handle and my thumb on the the top. I did not realize it was so poorly crafted that the lid was top heavy AND did not properly fit the top. It fell off as soon as I raised it to check the price, and shattered when it fell on the floor. I did the right thing, instead of leaving it, I brought it to the front. I was greeted by the RUDEST customer service person I've EVER met. I explained what happen and showed her how poorly it was designed and she continued to charge me! $110!!! I should've just left. She then proceeded to wrap up the broken lid after multiple times saying I did not want it as it's useless. I would have been fine, if a) she accepted equal responsibility for a poorly designed product or b) reduced it by at the min of 50% as now I have a useless overpriced small ceramic pot as its too short for flowers or c) she was kind and understanding. Or offered to contact the artist to get a new lid that's better designed. But no, she was utterly rude & condescending. I WILL NEVER ENTER Dunn & Sonnier, and recommend you do the same. #itdoesntpaytodotherightthing #karmaisabitch
