Just left this business, I needed a long sleeve T for hubby. Both girls at counter had a stink face, I asked one girl if they had men's long sleeve T's and she gave me a forced smile. I got the shirt and went to the other girl to pay & same attitude, felt awkward..... first time I have gotten crappy customer service in NOLA, it's a shame because they actually have a lot of cute items I would of purchased for gifts but I'm not leaving my cash at this establishment. This a great gift and souvenir shop with a wide variety of items. They are located in the same block as The Court of Two Sisters, on same side of the street. As soon as I walked inside, I spotted exactly what I was looking for, a T-shirt for my granddaughter. They had every size available in the pattern that I wanted too. I was in a hurry because my parking time was running out so I didn't have enough time to completely shop every shelf and rack but they had quite a selection. The price of the T-shirt at $15.95 was very reasonable for a gift shop. I would like to return here next time I'm in town to explore the store more. read more

The staff is always merry and bright and I daresay you'll leave the store in a better mood than when you entered it. That's not always the case when holiday shopping, right? FNO is also a great place for quality souvenirs (avoiding those tourist traps on Decatur and Bourbon). If you want a souvenir but not something so kitchy that the person might just look at it once and laugh? Stop here. Looking for some great scents? You can find the Vieux Carre Candle Company here, and the Sweet Olive soap co, too. Shirts, art, books, purses, ornaments during the holidays...? Yep. You're going to find a little bit of everything. Often times, you won't even realize that this would be JUST PERFECT for someone you know, and then BAM! It absolutely is. This is a solid souvenir store. I brought a ton of my nicer souvenirs from here, since some of the stores in the French Quarter were all selling the same "Made in China" stuff. There are more handmade or locally made souvenirs here, including some hand painted wine glasses and local art. They also have a large selection of kitchen souvenirs as well as NOLA-branded clothing. Visited on 03/07/20 We walked around looking for something different to bring back as souvenirs and wandered into Forever New Orleans. They had a lot of the repeat times: magnets, shirts, shot glasses, etc but there were also several different things. There were some lovely scarves, handmade jewelry and home knick knacks. Would up finding a cute Dixie pair of earrings ($10) for my Mother and a Jazz joint fitted tee ($18) was intended for my Father but my Mother made hers instead. LOL. Forever New Orleans is a cute gift shop in the French Quarter. A couple of friends and I popped in to check it out while walking around and exploring. The shop has lots of merchandise, so if you're looking for a gift this is a nice place to check out. They had everything from clothing to dishes to books to food stuffs to home decor. And the list goes on... I actually noticed some items that are carried in shops here in Louisville, Kentucky as well - specifically an eye mask B just purchased for me from Work the Metal. So, this shop must order from the same retailers. I wanted to buy everything from Forever New Orleans, from every single one of their locations. This store carried a great mix of upscale New Orleans souvenirs and random décor and chachkas. Despite having really nice merchandise, everything was really reasonably priced. I ended up buying a wall hanging that resonated well with me and a little brass plated mouse for a family member that collects mice. I seriously wanted to buy the entire store. I also wanted to stop in every single location. To make my love for Forever New Orleans even stronger, the staff was so nice and helpful. They were friendly and were joking around. You should probably come here over some of the more tourist-trappy shops on Decatur. Forever New Orleans has all the gifts and home furnishings you could possibly need for anyone on your list. It's such a classy, airy shop with great, super affordable prices. I walked out with cute earrings, two coasters and a wall hanging, but could have left with the entire shop in tow, if I had the funds and room in my carry-on suitcase! Nice store. Unique gifts, I even bought a bracelet from here three days ago. But, I need to say this about this shop which made me very unhappy as their way of treating customers. Beware of their closing time : 10pm when you are in, otherwise they can warn you "very rudely" that its time and you need to immediately leave the store. We were enjoying the shops on royal street, while looking for a gift and unfortunately didn't realize the time was almost 10pm. What a shame... When we were in the shop, one of the two woman at cashier told us : "Guys its 10pm!!! " While showing her watch-in a very rude manner- Our joy for looking that gift froze on our faces immediately , we were scorned like children? and we immediately left the store silently as if we did something terribly wrong. While we were leaving, our heads down, the other woman at the cashier -who is obviously more insightful and has an idea what customer service means- said "sorry guys we will be opening tomorrow " in a soft voice, but it was too late for this , as we already felt terrible for being there at that time. I wish I have told something to this terrible person at that moment but I didn't. A pity for me. I mean you scorn a customer For what? , and saying guys, it's 10pm by showing your watch... Come on, Don't let us in if you are closing in the first place. There are millions ways to tell a customer that you are closing and you chose this one. OK. Terrible experience over here. Tons of shops washed with souvenirs in french quarter and I am not coming back even if you give me everything for free. read more

I have developed a nasty Forever New Orleans habit. Over the course of a 7 day stay in New Orleans, I went in to this store every single day. Some days I dropped in twice. The thing with this place is, every time you go in there, you find something you had missed before. It isn't that it is messy or disorganized, it is just chock full of the greatest NOLA trinkets, candles, books, hostware -- you name it. They also seem to have a constant turn over with their merchandise..so if you are eyeing a glass bottle with that fleur de lis toppper, you best buy it on the spot. It can (and will) get swooped up by somebody else! I happen to really love fleur de lis and this store really brings it with everything you can imagine with the fleur de lis florish without seeming tacky and overdone. Bottom line is this is the greatest gift store in the french quarter. You can't miss it, it is just across the street from Rouse's and always has live music playing out front. read more
