My favorite place of all time in Houston and I just have to come here every time. It's been a while since I've been here. The service from Kash was excellent. The food came out so hot you can see the steam. Everything was delicious 10/10 and the portions are big. I didn't want an appetizer but the table wanted to try the fondeaux with garlic bread and that was amazing!! The restaurant isn't loud very moderate noise level. You can go with a party but just rsvp.

So over time I've had a change of heart! I actually really appreciate Pappadeaux's. Overpriced slightly maybe but not over rated at all. I frequent here quite often now and even have My special seat for the family and I. Service and staff have been very pleasant from hostess who always recognizes and acknowledges Me to the waiters. * Feeling risqué order a 3 wheel motion or 2 'giggles' while waiting for food and thank Me later! $18 As for appetizers goes You just have : - Crab cake $30 - Crab and Spinach dip $20 - Oysters (raw) min of 4 $10 My go to use to be blackened salmon but after learning .. never mind I now just order the snapper with lemon butter $40 The kids menu is straight forward: * Shrimp or Fish - fried or grilled *Tenders Sides : fries, fruit, or white rice I must add the mashed potatoes and broccolini are by far the best sides! They no longer have the crawfish bisque .. sigh Gumbo is decent but not mine LoL! That pretty much sums it up. I recommend this place bc it does have a nice vibe and good food! It's never too loud or crowded and has been consistent lately. This location can be found on westheimer in the parking lot with Luby's and Phoenicia near Walmart on kirkwood.

It never gets old. I stopped in for an early dinner. Some alligator fried to perfection crispy and hot. Some seafood gumbo because waiting until it's fall doesn't work for me. I love that when I have a craving I don't have to slave over a stove all day. I also got oysters but forgot to take a photo before I devoured them. I sat at the bar everyone was so kind and attentive. This place is a staple in my household and I enjoy the intimacy of this location.

Great food! Even the crackers on the table were good. Very professional service, Food arrived fast, I had the seafood skewers which had tender scallops and plump juicy shrimp, Both of our meals came from the recommendation of our server. Hubby had salmon with this "kill for the recipe" ginger rice, Just delicious X

I mean Pappadeaux is a Houston favorite for me. You really can't go wrong and they're very consistent. I went for hh and was not disappointed. I would say if you want a drink, just get a drink, don't get hh margarita. The gumbo is just ok, but I'm sure it's a favorite for some. The service was cool. I think our person was new but she did ok. The environment to me is come as you are. Fancy, casual, sweats...

First off, the service was very quick during peak dinner time for this location not being the biggest Pappadeaux I've been to. We were seated quickly without a reservation and it did not take long for our waitress to attend to us. Love having the crackers on the table and the bread and butter they serve to start is nice, but the bread is on the harder side (my wife does not like hard bread). I had my favorite drink as always, The Grand Hennessy, and it did not disappoint. For the appetizer, we had the Crab and Spinach Dip which was delicious, but note we did switch out the bread it comes with for garlic bread because it's softer than the Parmesan crusted bread it originally comes with. Also, the dip was somewhat small for two people, especially for the price. For the entree we had the Pasta Mardi Gras and it was fantastically tasting with a decent portion size (we both took home leftovers). Overall, I recommend, but perhaps come during lunch or happy hour deals for cheaper pricing, as it can be pretty expensive for dinner.

I haven't been to this location in awhile. My bestie and I decided to have a lunch date on a whim and also #hunger. Perfect timing because everyone else was at work! We were greeted as soon as we walked in and then seated. Donna was our waitress, friendly and efficient. We ordered Ginger Salmon and Blackened Catfish & Shrimp Étouffée. Both were fresh and flavorful. Yep, you guessed it- cocktails were ordered. The Pineapple Refresher was a little too sweet for my liking. No drink left behind though. I'm sure the Peach Sidecar was good, it looked as such. Overall, a great lunch date with good food. Had lots of leftovers for the win.

Went to Pappadeaux to celebrate two cousins birthday. It was good to be with family and friends. I had never been to this location. So the food was a bit different. I ordered a virgin strawberry daiquiri. There really was not much of a flavor until I was almost finished with it. Then I ordered Pasta Mardi Gras: Linguine tossed with crawfish, andouille sausage & crimini mushrooms in a marinara cream sauce topped with jumbo grilled shrimp. It was tasty and good though. Compare the two pictures.

I've this particular location! And oh my gosh, the MANGEAUX TANGO margaritas!!!!!!!! OMG! I'm in LUV with them! Oh yeah...those ALLIGATOR BITES???? Wheww! Nice atmosphere and ALWAYS a pleasant experience!!! This came from the one at 6015 Westheimer Rd

While there are some cheaper options for equally good fried seafood along Westheimer, Pappadeaux is never a bad idea for a family outing. I personally loved the stuffed crab and blackened catfish on my last visit. And yes, the bread and butter is a great way to ease into your meal. Service can be hit or miss, especially when the order isn't always entirely correct coming back. And it's a pretty typical, casual seafood restaurant. It can be a little loud when they have a full house but don't expect it to be a library.

Their menu consists of apps (mostly fried), soups and salads, lobster dishes, steaks, vietnamese seafood dishes, shellfish entrees (clams, scallops, etc), an oyster section, stir fry dishes, rice creations, and fried seafood dishes. They serve beer and wine but have some Asian wine-based cocktails. This is truly a fusion restaurant since they have Vietnamese, American, Chinese, Thai, and Peruvian influences on their menu. They have boiled seafood, of course, including crawfish during the season. On every table is also a $12.95 lunch menu with soups, sandwiches and seafood dishes. This may be one of the better deals out there. We tried a few dishes: drunken lobster, surf and turf, crab fried rice, drunken tofu, and shrimp with salted egg. Two additional people in our group came a little later and actually ordered the lunch special (pork chop plate) and chicken wings. Their napkins are a little strange as they're tri-fold style like you would normally see in a restroom. The dishes were pretty good, but I ended up eating mostly noodles since their garlic noodles are pretty addicting. The sirloin that came on the steak dish was supposedly a little tough but that is typical of a basic sirloin steak. I didn't actually get to sample it since other people grabbed it before I could. They only had L and XL size lobster the day we came...so they said their prices were around $90 and $108...I think we selected the $90 size. The drunken lobster dish can be shared between 2 people as it's a big platter but just 1 cut up lobster. The garlic noodles beneath the lobster pieces on the drunken lobster are way better than the noodles beneath the shrimp and steak on the surf and turf since they are stir-fried with lots of onions, jalapeños and what seemed to be small ground pork/beef chunks.

I think they may have been fake scallops. Godly Fried Rice (1/5) - nothing godly about it, very little seasoning and chewy beef. I had to pour the sauce from the egg rolls onto this just to get a little taste in it. The service was young kids who didnt seem to care much about their customers. Maybe its management or just a vibe I dont know, but we had to go back once or twice to them for putting down our order cause they left our table too early when we were still ordering. And to top it all off, a baby cockroach was on the wall just staring at us. Do not go here unless you are getting a lobster dish as I would hope that a place called drunken lobster can at least get that right.

They add gratuity in and you pay before you sit down, which I actually didn't mind at all. The service was great, and honestly, I would have tipped even more if I paid at the end. You pick what you want in your bag, and you can get as much as you like. There's only a surcharge if you get extra crab legs, king crab, or lobster, which makes sense. I chose the spiciest boil with all three flavor seasonings combined, and it was delicious. The spice level was good but it was still tolerable. For sides, I tried the lemon pepper wings and the garlic noodles. The garlic noodles were sooo good. I wanted another order but it was no way I could finish it. The big chicken wing was also tasty. My friend ordered hush puppies, but I didn't even get a chance to try them because they disappeared the second they hit the table. The shrimp fried rice was fine, but the noodles were definitely better. Between the cook-to-order sides, the fresh flavors, the generous portions, and the quick, friendly service. I'll definitely be back!

When I arrived there was nobody dining in the restaurant, that was a bit worrying, but I figured it was a bit early for the dinner crowd and late for the lunch crowd. Food & Drink - 4.5* First up was the noodles, I enjoyed them, but I wouldn't say the hype I'd heard about from some others was there. They had nice flavor, but there just wasn't anything "special." 3.5* Then it was on to the crawfish, and my oh my. Superb, the flavor is delicious and unique. This more than made up for the noodles dish. The potato and corn was good too. Service - 5* Solid. When I first arrived the owner was quietly reading a newspaper and eating his own lunch. He paused to greet me and advised that I could sit anywhere. He provided water and adequate time to determine what I wanted to order. The food came out quickly and he checked in a few times to make sure everything was ok. As time went by, the crowd of folks showing up increased quite a bit and he still managed to check in on tables consistently. Pricing - 4* This is where it was odd. Always subjective but I found the noodles to be overpriced for not only the size but what I felt was a pretty simple dish. The crawfish on the other hand was priced very competitively and made up for the overpriced noodles. I provided pics of the menu for someone to make their own assessment but in general I thought many of the dishes were pricier than they probably should be. I know inflation is certainly killing many businesses and consumers but even these felt a bit off. Overall - 4.5* This is definitely going to be one of my go tos for crawfish when in the area. The flavor is fantastic, the pricing is good, the size of them were solid. There are a couple of other dishes I may try on the next visit. Michael, the owner, greeted us and took care of us! We started with the Jumbo Crab Fingers which were really good - I'm honestly not huge on seafood, so I enjoyed these a lot more than I thought I would. Ironically, I'm not big on oysters either, so I ordered the Jumbo Golden Fried Shrimp which hit the spot real good. Large shrimp, well fried, flavored, and the tartar sauce was addicting. The fries that came with it were perfectly seasoned, carrying a bit more of a cajun flavor rather than just regularly salted. My parents definitely enjoy oysters, so they ordered the Charbroiled Oysters and really enjoyed it, as well as the Uni Oyster with Quail Egg. They also got the Cowboy Lobster Shrimp Roll that was gone before I even took a second look their way. We finished the meal with a yummy, dense basque cheesecake! Every customer that came in during our time there was personally greeted by Michael, and it seemed like they were all repeat customers. It was really cool to see that kind of connection, and it really showed how much Michael cares about his customers, and how much we like his food! Indoor seating is a bit limited - all bar stool seating. I rarely comment on the music that a restaurant plays, but I quite liked it!
