We had Pappas Catering for our wedding, and they were absolutely wonderful! They were more than willing to work with our wedding coordinator with everything she needed. We were complimented on our food by a bunch of people (and you know how bad wedding food can sometimes be!). I didn't interact with the staff much, but whenever I did, they were beyond courteous and fun to have at the event. They even passed champagne for toasts and took care of cutting and passing the cake, which to me is above and beyond good service. I am so glad we hired Pappas Catering for our wedding reception. Pappas catering came through for me for my daughters college graduation party 5-7-21. April said they will take care of everything so I would not have to worry. She was so correct. I have never had a catering company that actually brought everything they needed. They set up and served and then cleaned up and still packed the leftovers for people to eat if they wanted to. The only bad thing was that there were so many wonderful people that helped throughout the night, I couldn't keep track of all of their names. We just had Pappas Catering at our wedding and were blown away. Juliet and her team did a fantastic job setting up, cooking, serving, bartending, bussing, and tearing down. We received so many compliments about the food and service from our friends. They are extremely professional and will do what ever you ask of them. We had their bartenders serve the alcohol we provided and they did a fantastic job on the signature cocktails I requested. My wedding facility's owner is very particular about who she will allow on site and she completely trusts Pappas. I highly recommend getting the crawfish and spinach tamales. Pappas catered my sister-in-law's wedding, and it was so memorable that my husband chose them for our wedding a decade later! We had our wedding on October 12, 2019 in Georgetown. Pappas was easy to work with every step of the way. Justine managed our account and went out of her way to respond to all our questions, concerns, and ideas, even while pregnant and then shortly after giving birth! We were so impressed with how organized and communicative she was. The wedding itself went smoothly, without a hitch, and people are still commenting on how good the food was a week later. And, as an added bonus, Justine actually came to the wedding to personally make sure everything went well, after working another long shift at an ACL event earlier that day. We had Pappasito's cater our st. Patrick's day wedding. I'm Mexican so we want the food to incorporate my culture. The chicken/beef fajita tacos were so good. They had a grill on the premises so all the meat was freshly cooked. They had our plates ready and the staff was so good about checking on us and making sure we had everything. I am so in love with Pappasito's catering!! I have always loved the restaurant, even as a kid growing up in Houston. When I got engaged this year, I knew immediately that I wanted Pappasito's to cater my wedding. And they did an even more amazing job than I ever could have expected. It was so simple for me to print the menus from online & decide what I wanted, then I called the office & made the order way in advance. Juliet is the manager of the department and handled my order, my questions, all my changes & planning. She...is...AWESOME!!! She answered all my questions clearly & easily, was so easy to work with. Then we got to the walk-through two weeks before my wedding at the venue with my coordinator there, & she really saved the day. She was able to quickly walk through our venue & work easily with my coordinator to find all sorts of good places to set up an appetizer table, the bar, & the dinner buffet, like it was just second hand to her. Best part was, she realized that I had ordered ceremony chairs separately & she offered to have her staff set up their rental chairs downstairs for the ceremony, then move them up to the reception room while my guests had drinks, & SHE called my rental company to cancel my chair order so I could get refunded! And she kept offering set-up services for her cocktail staff to do for us, like set up our flowers, etc. but my coordinator was able to do a lot of that set up for me. Point being, Juliet was eager to help out & proactive in informing me of what her staff would be able to do for us. Come to the wedding day, and the Pappasito's staff was amazing. They set up the grill outside, on site, then brought the food in to the buffet table. Everything looked amazing! The staff came around & served our guests drinks and cake since we had to set those up in a separate room downstairs while we ate upstairs. They took care to give my husband & I a couple plates of food first at the start of the reception, and more importantly, brought me a margarita! I saw them dutifully cleaning everything up towards the end of the evening & breaking everything down. They were all so sweet, they really made it a wonderful event! Oh, & the quality of food is always amazing!! That's why it's always been my favorite restaurant. We chose to have beef & chicken fajitas with all the fixings and cheese enchiladas. And must have chips, queso, and salsa--that's a given. The coolest thing was the avocado bar where guests could get half an avocado filled with the salsa of their choice which includes shrimp ceviche or corn & black bean salsa or habenero cream sauce. Mmmmmmm! And the margaritas were excellent as always. I happily lived off left over chips & salsa for a week, best chips & salsa ANYWHERE, EVER! So I could not have been happier & I already I knew I made the best choice for catering. Juliet is amazing & her staff is amazing. You can't go wrong. read more

Pappas Catering just catered my wedding on January 7th and they did a wonderful job. We had a buffet line for 170 people with beef and chicken fajitas. They were a hit and everyone seemed to enjoy them. The staff was attentive, helpful, and friendly. I only have one piece of constructive criticism and that was when they came onsite to grill the meat (which is wonderful), they were chopping the meat very loudly. This was an issue because we were all seated and my husband's grandfather was saying the blessing. This was distracting and made my new husband pretty upset. We only wished they could have chopped the meat before they came to the reception or moved further away from the reception tent so we were not disturbed. They helped us pick a menu within our budget that still gave us everything we wanted and were very responsive when we had questions or needed clarification. The ordering process was super easy and they checked in about a week before the event to go over details and timelines which was great! After we booked our wedding venue, our next step was catering. I had my mind pretty set that we were going to be doing a fajita bar and I've always been obsessed with Pappasito's fajitas. We met with Pappa's Catering, Maudie's and Trudy's. I have nothing super negative to say about any of them but what put Pappa's above the rest was their experience, food quality, and organization. After meeting with Juliet and going over pricing - everything seemed to fall into place. Juliet was so nice and helpful. She had an answer for everything and gave us a tasting which was wonderful. Juliet sent us a quote and contract for us to look over. Personally, this is where Pappa's overcame the rest. The quote was so detailed and easy to understand. It also stated what the caterers and cocktail bussers exact responsibilities are. Coming from a restaurant background, this was so appreciated and something the other companies did not do. A week and half before the wedding date, Lauren called to confirm our guest number and to see if I needed any help with anything else. I had a few questions which she sought out and answered for me. She put my needs and worries to rest. I soon found out that our lead caterer was going to be Tina for the day-of. The buffet set-up was perfect and two plates were already waiting for us at our sweetheart table. There was a really sweet man asking if I needed anything (I wish I was more focused to get their names but I still had bride/wedding brain). Tina came up later and introduced herself to see if I needed anything. She told me she was going to box everything up for us which I was excited for since I didn't eat at the reception. Coming from the restaurant industry, I wish I had more time to thank everyone personally that was involved because everything was so great!!
