After surrounding the area with heavy net barriers to prevent collateral damage, they brought in a stump grinder, ground up the stump after using a chainsaw to remove the sprouted branches, smooth-raked the area, replaced the fence panel secured it with screws, and made it look like nothing ever happened. He mowed my home and rental property for 2 years. My only issue with him is that he is inconsistent and sometimes wouldn't show up weekly, as agreed to. The whole reason I spend money to have someone mow the lawn and plow snow is so that I don't have to think about it. Over the winter, he came 1 time to plow (each time he said either the plow broke down or he said he was too busy with other clients). Every other time, I ended up doing it myself. No phone call to let me know he wasn't coming or anything. Then come spring time, I had to call him several times to get him to come out and as of May 10, only come out to mow 1 time at my house. When I went to the rental property on May 10, I found that there were 8"-12" of high grass and weeds... he didn't mow once this year! May 10!!! I called him upset and told him I need it done tomorrow because I am showing the property to a prospective renter and can't have the place looking like that! He said his mower broke down, but would try to get a loaner from the shop where he is taking his mower to. I'm not sure how, but he came on May 11 to cut the high grass. He was audibly upset with me on the phone, but he did get it done. So I thought that was the end, but then he sends me an invoice that day for the agreed upon rate, plus $15 extra for an "on demand cut"... I let him him know I absolutely would not be paying extra for him to cut after he simply didn't show up for roughly 6 weeks AND didn't tell me he didn't show up! He adjusted the invoice back to the agreed upon amount on May 13th. On May 22nd, he emailed me suggesting that he had sent this $100 invoice to collections... after 9 days! Invoice is paid now, but man, what a terrible way to do business. Again, speaking to him, he is a nice guy, but simply terrible when it comes to reliability, and even worse when it comes to professionalism after questioning him on why he didn't show up for 6 weeks without notifying me!
