Matthew came and looked at it and recommended a pressure treated fence to match the rest of the deck. He looked closely at it, took pictures and did an absolutely beautiful job. He told me it would cost $20,000 to take down the two brick walls and rebuild with cinder blocks and steel rods. I emailed Western Mass Masons last week about getting an estimate on my foundation, they responded promptly, and we made an appointment for them to come take a look. David Osiecki came this morning to give me an estimate. He said there is nothing wrong with the foundation, the slight bowing in the walls is to be expected in a house this old, and that I should have the buttresses that someone took out on one wall rebuilt in the near future. He is going to give me a quote to do that work, and I will for sure use this company for this and all future work. I will also sing their praises.
