First, a quick tip: their winter hours are Tuesday-Sunday from 12 PM-7 PM, so plan your visit accordingly. The menu is full of creative fruit drinks, pastries, and trendy desserts. They have flavors like strawberry, mango, passionfruit, piña colada, and even Dubai-style desserts that you see all over social media. On my visit I ordered three items: * Boba Strawberry Passionfruit Lemonade * Coconut Passionfruit Frappe * Dubai Sundae The coconut passionfruit frappe had the perfect consistency; smooth, creamy, and refreshing. The coconut and passionfruit flavors balanced each other perfectly and tasted very tropical. The boba strawberry passionfruit lemonade was also packed with flavor. It had fresh strawberry pieces, lemon slices, and passionfruit pulp. Just be careful of the lemon seeds. It even had a fun little surprise on top; a candy shark and what looked like Nerds candy, which made it extra playful. Inside, the shop gives off tropical island vibes. It's a small space but there is seating available. Today Friday the 13th, there were only two people ahead of me, music playing in the background, and a TV on. The wait wasn't long and the staff was very friendly and helpful. For the three items I spent about $45, but considering the fresh ingredients, presentation, and portion sizes, I would say the price is reasonable. I had to check this place out after seeing their viral fruit pastries on TikTok. I asked the woman at the counter how long they've been open--she said three years--and the line was nearly out the door, so they're clearly doing well. That said, the experience was pretty confusing. There were photos of drinks on the wall but no pricing. The only thing I noticed with pricing was a Dubai chocolate drink listed for $30! They didn't have the fruit pastry flavors listed inside; we only noticed them posted outside on the window after we had already ordered, and the flavors online didn't exactly match what was in-store. The biggest shock was the price. The fruit pastries were $12-$15 each, which felt excessive. I've been to plenty of high-end spots for dessert, and this was easily the most expensive I've paid. When I asked about the pricing, I was told everything is made in-house--which I would expect at that price point anyway. I ended up getting the piña colada and mango fruit pastries, along with a passionfruit lemonade that was also $12. Everything tasted good and fresh, but quite sweet and, in my opinion, overpriced--especially for Meriden, CT. This place is overwhelmingly delicious. We got there close to closing and they were so nice to make us a frozen drink even though the blenders were already cleaned. We got a mango pina colada and a coconut lemonade. I didn't realize how big it was going to be it was like the size of a bucket! The presentation is top notch here . Paradise Frappe in Meriden makes frappes, smoothies, milkshakes, natural juices, limbers and the ever popular Dubai chocolate in cheesecake, or frappes! From opening to close, this place is busy. When I arrived, a lady leaving had a tray of 4 cups and said that she had to wait an hour for hers. I had about a 30-minute wait from the minute I walked in, waiting in line, ordering and getting the goods. I think that's reasonable. Before leaving, the owner said that they've ran out of strawberries and her husband went to get more. I believe that this may have happened throughout the afternoon. I would suggest ordering directly from the supplier and not the grocery store. I had the Dubai Strawberries and Cheesecake priced at $30, Dubai Frappe $15 and Dubai Cheesecake $14. Although the cost was hefty, it was all delicious! I also had the pleasure of taking the cheesecake in a heart tin! It was an absolute delight! This was an add-on special for Valentine's Day! I recommend arriving early. I didn't find any online ordering and seemed that they can take phone orders. upon first arrival the interior of the shop was super adorable, and they had a variety of options to choose from, but we had gone after a one hour drive, for the viral fruit cakes and I'm disappointed to say that the mango ones were absolutely disgusting, on the outside they looked delicious, but on the first bite the immediate rush of sugar had passed through, it had tasted like pure eggs and condensed milk, and the filling had the consistency and taste of only water with yellow food coloring that kept dripping out of the pastry. It was a complete waste of my time and money, and I could've save it and the gas for some better off options, in addition to that we ended up going out to a fast food place in the end because the pastries were smaller than the palm of my hand. in general, if you have the time to waste and the money, I'd recommend, otherwise. I've been wanting to stop by for a while now, but didn't want to wait in the crazy line. I finally came on a Tuesday afternoon with my mom and we were able to quickly order. There were several delicious options to choose from, but I knew I really wanted a Strawberry Coconut smoothie while my mom wanted just Coconut. We both agreed they were the best we've had - the taste, consistency, and appearance were perfect! You can tell the staff is dedicated to excellent customer service and satisfaction. Like everyone else, I saw Paradise Frappe's Dubai Chocolate Strawberries on social media, and knew I had to try them! I went on a Saturday afternoon around 2:30 and there were only a couple other people in the store. When I looked at the menu, I had two thoughts- OMG, everything looks so delicious, but also WOW, everything is expensive! I ordered the Dubai Chocolate Strawberries, which were $22. Now I had never had these before, but they were absolutely amazing!! Fresh strawberries, with kataifi (a shredded pastry dough used in Middle Eastern desserts), covered in chocolate, and topped with pistachio butter. Delicious! Keep in mind that because every order is made fresh, it will take a little time to make your order (I waited about 10 minutes for mine). If I was just rating this place on the taste and quality of the food, it would easily be 5 stars! However, I decided on 4 stars just because of the price... I thought $22 for a cup of strawberries was very expensive, and probably not affordable for many people. I just can't justify spending that much on a dessert, at least regularly. One other more minor thing, trying to find out what their hours are was difficult. Google has different hours than their Facebook page, and the hours seem odd (ex. 2-7PM on Saturday and Sunday, I feel like they should open much earlier.) They should post their hours clearly online somewhere. The inside of the store is small and doesn't have any seating, but was pretty clean. Very good but order ahead of time. They take a while to prepare but that's because it's all fresh. Also there is a $10 card minimum and if you order ahead of time you have to pay over the phone (as one would expect). They have seating inside if you want to order there and wait. We get the Fruta all the time but have also tried the strawberry Nutella, pina colada and the special Barbie one they had too. Haven't been able to find their menu online to order ahead so I finally got some pictures and started the page :) read more

I had the mango passionfruit which is actually not in the menu, but I asked if they can make it for me and the lady was very friendly and professional and say yeah absolutely not a problem. So this shop I've heard to be all the rage was definitely an interesting experience. I had came here for the infamous Dubai chocolate strawberries! I had driven all the way from Providence Rhode Island, which was an hour and a half drive and a 2 hour wait for my order... Now the quality, cleanliness, and freshness of my order were great absolutely no complaints there whatsoever, now the overall work ethic and organization were chaotic. Now the worker had ran out of ingredients which should never happen even if it's a product that's ordered a lot there should always be extra ingredients just in case the original amount run out always!! So that was definitely the most disappointing thing about my order, as far as waiting, it was packed inside and the wait time was excruciating for something that can easily be made at home. This was a decent experience but never again for me, homemade is definitely a better option to avoid using $22 on a single cup. Hopefully they take the constructive criticism and don't get defensive for customers telling the truth as they have with prior reviews. read more
