I am always so happy when I get to come here! I live a little far away, so this is usually a stop on my way home from New Haven when I go. I barely made it there before closing this time, and I was afraid they were going to be like a lot of places and tell me it was too late to order certain things, but they made the smoothie bowl for me with a smile on their faces, and I could not have been more grateful! I also buy goodies every time I go there like shots and bliss balls And peanut butter pie. This place is an oasis!

Counter service vegan place with a large drink menu and a large (but basic) food menu comprised of salads, rice bowls, wraps, and sandwiches. They don't try to imitate meat as much as they stick to dishes that are naturally vegan That being said, I did try one of their meat-substitute dishes, a cheeseburger wrap, and it was pretty tasty. The wrap itself was kind of stale though Also have a bunch of vegan desserts 7.5

I like this place because of healthy food options. The ambiance is good. I called to order take out on my way to NY, and it was ready when I got there. First thing that happened was that I called and tried to order Thai Tangle but turns out that isn't on the menu anymore & they don't have a website available with a new menu or anything updated on yelp. I asked for another kind of spicy noodle but they couldn't help. I ordered the southwest wrap and I was so upset with what I had gotten (see photo) there was an inch of substance in the wrap besides rice. A $15 wrap filled with fifty cents worth of rice with a slight layer of sauce and just a few beans. How's a vegan supposed to survive. . .? Not sure what I would ever order from here again.

Let me be the first to say before they change their name from Pure to Wild I was, and still am, a huge fan. The food, the atmosphere, the scent you are introduced to when you walk into the building. It's amazing. I come to this place quite often and since they moved the place is bigger. The parking is better. The reason why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 like it deserves is because on this particular situation I walked in encountering three workers and not a single one said hi or even acknowledges that I walked in the building. It was me and another person in the cafe so it wasn't a busy issue. I noticed one girl that I see often who was in the kitchen that ended up acknowledging me and helping me when I told her no one had acknowledged me. When I'm there I normally like to interact with Linda, a worker that I encountered when I first was introduced to the place that made me want to come back more because she is so awesome and nice. I really love this place. I frequent it often. Sometimes I have to take a step back because I can literally spend an entire paycheck at this place because it's just so good. But I do feel like acknowledging people that are coming into any establishment to spend money is very important, even if you don't want to.

This is a vegetarian/vegan friendly cafe in Wallingford. The food and smoothies are decent but the place is too expensive for what they offer.

I'm working my way through trying all of the juices and smoothies. I have tried Apple Jack, Berry Berry Bliss, Kale Me Crazy, The Nutty Monkey and Emerald Forest. I haven't found one I don't like. I also really enjoyed the Chewbacca Bowl.

Absolutely worth the 30 min drive. I'm in town on business and staying near Yale campus yet found this gem on Yelp. Everything is made fresh and organic!! They have descriptions of ingredients and the advantages of them posted at the counter and on various tables. For those that are new to the 'clean' eating lifestyle. From drinks, smoothies, wraps and desserts, it's ALL delicious! I will definitely add this place to the list of recurring visits whenever I'm in the area.

Wild Alchemy is a true one stop shop for eats! Vegan or not, this establishment has so many unique options, you're bound to find something delicious and hearty to satisfy your hunger! Their Falafel Wraps for one, are also out of this world! Salads are filling and delicious, they have a nice selection of snacks and a monthly feature & their smoothie and juice selection is large! They also have a few tables outside to enjoy al fresco dining, have CBD products and other supplements for sale, juice shots, and house made to go nutrient waters in their fridge in addition to other interesting brands. This is honestly the first place I've been too where I loved something from each category (food, smoothie, juice & dessert) Must tries in my opinion: Wraps: Falafel Salad: Zen Dessert: Key Lime Pie my friend devoured (June 2021 Special) and almond joy or butterfinger bar Smoothie: Creamsicle (Superfood selection) & Berry Berry Bliss Juice: Tiny Dancer & Moxie Lady (I get light on the ginger)

Stopped in to Wild Alchemy today and lunch was great! Lots of dairy free, vegetarian and gluten free items to pick from The bagel - house made onion bread with cashew cream cheese topped with tomato and avocado Cheeseburger wrap-romaine, pickles, raw veggie nut burger, tomato, cashew cheesy sauce served with blue chips Creamsicle smoothie - orange, banana, vanilla, coconut milk, maple and baobab

Stopped here for lunch and it was great! I had the southwestern wrap with a creamsicle smoothie! The wrap was so delicious and very filling! I'll definitely be back to try more things off the menu! Their desserts looked delicious too! I only took one star off because it's pretty pricey.

I used to love the old location but am super sad to say my experience here at the new one frankly sucked. I came with a friend and ordered the cheeseburger wrap, which is my favorite and my friend got the chickpea wrap. After being forgotten for well over 15 minutes and watching every person that came in after us be served their food before us, someone finally acknowledged my friend and I and offered us water and apologized for the wait. I was a bit perplexed when they brought over one cup of water for the 2 of us. After another 5 minutes, our food finally came out. My cheeseburger wrap was literally 80% pickles, which I hate. They were chopped up so small that they were really hard to pick out. It's my fault for not asking for no pickles, but also like, the wrap was mostly pickles which I do not remember from when I've ordered this before at the old location. Once I removed al of the pickles the wrap was decent but there was so little "cheeseburger" in the wrap that it was really sad to eat. My friend couldn't even eat his chickpea wrap because it was under seasoned and had an unpleasant texture. Overall was really disappointed with this whole experience and felt like it was a waste of my money. I will likely not be returning.

Went to check out Wild Alchemy the other day and it was great! The staff was working very hard to accommodate all of the customers and everyone was very sweet tried one of their juices, smoothie, and their toast with almond butter and it was all delicious! I'll definitely be coming back again soon!

    Superfood Bliss Balls

Healthy & delicious food! Excellent staff...very friendly & knowledgeable about offerings. Went to the one in Avon. High quality food, including locally made superfood chocolates. So far, I had a very fresh & tasty green juice, but brought home lots of other goodies that I can't wait to try. I live 30 mins away, but will make trips out there just for them as it was so worth it! So happy to have a vegan place somewhat nearby with incredible & healthy options. Even non-vegans will love this place! Update: The Chaga pie was amazing as are the Superfood Bliss Balls.

Onto the drinks and food which were so delicious and truly enjoyable. I got the Beachy Bee Iced Latte special, which is a honey vanilla latte with a coconut cold foam and toasted coconut on top (simply divine)! My fiancé got the cappuccino which was made just to his liking, and he's a coffee connoisseur. For food, I had the Bumble, which I highly recommend, with scrambled eggs, subbed with the gluten free sourdough bread (+$2 up-charge) and cheddar instead of American cheese. It's served all day and had so much flavor with that garlic butter, and the seasoned steak. Yum! If you are gluten free like me, you will appreciate that they have the gluten free sourdough bread or a gluten free wrap to substitute with. My partner had the Basic Bee with bacon and thought it was flavorful with light and fluffy scrambled eggs that complimented the bacon well. Overall, I would really recommend this place if you're looking for a breakfast or lunch in Wallingford!

I normally try to give places the benefit of the doubt, but our experience at The Bees Knees Bistro…read morein Wallingford was honestly very disappointing and upsetting. My family and I arrived while it was raining outside with our young daughters in strollers, expecting to sit down for a meal and get out of the weather. Instead, we were told we could not come in with the strollers and essentially felt unwelcome the moment we walked through the door. As parents of babies who are still too young to sit safely in high chairs on their own, the strollers are not optional for us , they are necessary. We were not being disruptive, rude, or inconsiderate. We were simply trying to have a meal as a family. Rather than attempting to accommodate us or show any understanding, we were left feeling like having children made us an inconvenience. What made the situation even worse was the fact that it was pouring outside. Any level of kindness or flexibility would have gone a long way. Instead, we felt embarrassed, frustrated, and honestly shocked by the lack of compassion and customer service. Families with young children already face enough challenges going out in public, and experiences like this make it even harder. We ended up leaving and taking our business somewhere else that was far more welcoming and understanding toward families. It is disappointing because we were genuinely looking forward to trying this restaurant, but first impressions matter. A restaurant does not need to be "kid-centered" to still treat parents and babies with basic respect and decency. I completely understand that restaurants may have space limitations or policies, but there is a respectful and compassionate way to handle situations like this. Instead, the experience came across as cold and dismissive. There are many restaurants in the area that are happy to accommodate families, and moving forward those are the businesses I will continue to support. Unfortunately, after this experience, I will not be returning and would not recommend this restaurant to families with infants or children who still require strollers or extra accommodations. I wont be going back and giving them .you business, nor will I be recommending this place to anyone. Totally rude and discrimination towards those with babies. I did not feel cherished like their website says every guest is. Its sad because this will and im sure does effect their business. I will never give them my business after yesterday. No attempts at accommodating us or evening offering to let us sit outside, lazy staff, but yet there were 3 teenage girls taking names for the wait list. What a joke.

My friend and I started with a glass of wine, and the service in the beginning was good. However things quickly went downhill. This library proves you can't judge a book by its cover. We ordered the calamari appetizer. When it arrived, I opened my silverware from the napkin and discovered that my fork was filthy-- a giant glob of white, crusty food, the size of a dime, was still stuck between the prongs. I waited for my waitress to check in (she didn't deliver the food) but she never came. We tried to get the attention of another waitress and were ignored. After 10 minutes, with my calamari growing cold, I eventually walked to the bar to get a replacement. The bartended exclaimed, "Gross!" -- my sentiments exactly-- when I showed him the fork. By the time I actually sat down to eat, the calamari was cold. It was also super tough and chewy. There were hardly any peppers. We didn't eat much of it. I love French food, and I ordered the duck for dinner. I ordered it medium. When it arrived, it was cooked well done- perhaps in an oven rather than seared. I say this because the skin was not crispy and the fat had not rendered, so the skin/fat remained thick, chewy and inedible. Usually the crispy skin is the best part of duck, so I was disappointed. I had to cut off the skin and thick layer of fat to make it edible. It tasted quite gamey and there was no pink center. It came sliced into thirds, so they knew it was overcooked when they served it to me. I only ate a small portion. The rest of my dish (which came out looking stunning by the way) was also a big disappointment. Although it looked beautiful at first glance, I discovered the delicata squash still had the rough, inedible skin attached. The cherry sauce was heavy-handed and drowned my brussel sprouts, sweet potato purée and carrots to the point that all I could taste was the sauce (a thick, sugary glaze). I did my best to eat around it, because my waitress didn't check on us until much later. In fact we were basically done by the time I saw her again. I had given up at that point and left most of my food behind. There was also an issue with where we were seated. We had a small table in front of a window, but completely blocking a much larger table in a narrow corner. There was a family there when we arrived, and each time they got up to use the bathroom, I had someone's body pressed against my chair to squeeze by. A woman's behind actually grazed the back of my head at one point. When the family left, I could feel them brushing my coat off the back of my chair, resulting in them stepping on it. I can't blame them- it was a tight spot and a very awkward place for a table. I was annoyed that the waitstaff (I'm assuming) took the other chairs at my table, making a 4 seat table into a 2 seater, so I had no choice in where to sit. I didn't understand why they did this, because there was a lovely fireplace nearby and I had my back to it all night. Clearly, they weren't thinking about the dining experience from the customer's point of view. Maybe I could have switched tables but finding my waitress was like trying to find Waldo all evening, so it wasn't worth the hassle. Safe to say I won't be back. If you decide to try it out, be sure to get there early as parking is a pain to find at peak dinner hours.

Some finishing salt would have been welcomed. My wife had the scallops and was so happy with the root veggies as she does not do glutton or flour and most places put it over something she can't eat.
