The facilities are beautiful and include the historic cabin where Ernest Hemingway wrote a portion of "A Farewell to Arms." That cabin clearly marked and is available for rental. Their main lodge, in the shape of an arrowhead is stunning "old Wyoming" architecture. Meals served at a communal table are delicious and hearty. This place is a gem!

We were very pleased with this accommodation. We like to cook in, and the kitchen is very well stocked. The back deck has a gas grill that worked perfectly. The ranch is awesome, the family/hosts were awesome too. Very down-to-earth, friendly, and excellent ambassadors of ranching in this area of Wyoming. Our cabin looked out over rolling hills all the way to the Big Horn Mountains. Even had a cowboy ride by the cabin multiple times each day! Call ahead to see if you can arrange a horse ride on the ranch. They really know their horses. Loved their dogs too. Would love to return.

It's so peaceful. The air is unimaginably crisp, cool, and clean. Evergreen trees blanket the land everywhere you turn. You just know wildlife is lurking nearby, but you can't see them for the trees. The campground itself is clean, well-maintained, and is overseen by a very nice and obliging husband-wife duo. PROS - electric sites only - vault toilets - picnic table with a lantern pole/hook - campfire rings with grill - drinking water faucets - firewood $5 per bundle at host site - trash collection CONS - open only from June to September - no RV water hookup - A little dusty driving on the caliche road and sites - Mobile phone coverage (at that point I had Verizon) is pretty much a no go here Of all the places our family visited this summer, this is the one I'd love to go back to first. We've camped here a few times and it has always been great. They have bathrooms which could be…read morebetter since they don't have a sink/mirror but most camp sites don't have a bathroom at all. Good camp sites for tents, RV's, and vans. Lots of space which while there are gravel sections there aren't many rocks in the ground for tent sleepers! Petroglyphs are awesome to see and learn about, My favorite is the timeline. Volunteers are awesome and it's a lovely place. There is running water which is great to go to sleep listening to but also you can swim in it. The water is chilly but when you get in it feels so nice, especially on a hot day. You can swim in the shallow end or jump in and swim to the rock formation. Not many fish saw one small one and a toad years ago but lots of rocks, and sand but not much moss or algae. Lots of wildlife saw some deer on the way there, birds, gardener snake, raccoons (Hide your food & trash!), and of course bugs. Basically all the bugs bite, deer/horse flies, Mosquitos, Boxelder bugs, ants, and a few moths & butterflies. Had a great time would recommend & they do have a drinking water station but don't bathe, or do laundry it's the sanitary station to fill up water jugs. They've got fire pits with a grill you can add on top and wonderful wonderful views of the stars, We even saw some constellations. Got very busy on the weekend but I think it has to do with the time of year.

As you enter the park, part of the Wyoming State Park System, the bright red rock face, the destination, is visible for a short time as you make your way through the trees, past the campsites, and the walking trails. Originally part of a working cattle ranch, Medicine Lodge became a 12,000 acre wildlife management area of which this site is part. The archaeological portion is a relatively short walk along the sandstone rock face where the Native American petroglyphs and pictographs are etched. Of course, there are also periodic and far less interesting distractions of the modern day taggers who can't help themselves. While there are interpretative markers drawing attention to the most notable glyphs and graphs every few feet, it can take a bit of time to discern them on the rock face -- especially when the afternoon sun is at the wrong angle. It's a truly fascinating glimpse into what archaeologists have dated back thousands of years. The markings are simplistic, much as you might see from a child, but once you understand the story each is telling, it becomes an extraordinary site. The introductory section displayed a visual representation of certain events back ten thousand years to give viewers a sense of time. The site is free for day use if wanting to see the petroglyphs is the main draw for you , but there are also overnight campsites, both reserved and first-come first-served, for those wanting to enjoy the peaceful outdoors, maybe fish, catch a glimpse of the wildlife, and camp in the western foothills of the Bighorns. There's also a horse corral for those intrepid explorers who prefer to travel and explore with their larger four-footed companion.

They did tell me that The thermos stat was stuck. I removed the thermo stat and it ran cool. The trim up button didn't work, I was told that It was working right and I had to use the trailer button to trim up. Really your technicians went to school for that. The boat also took on water which they fixed, there web page says they do gel coat, well they don't. They did get the leak stopped though. They left resin on the trailer from the fiberglass repair. They finally fixed the trim after I told them what was wrong with it. Oh yeah forgot to mention that when I got the boat back I thought I would check to see if the thermostat had been put in. They just cleaned the gasket off and didn't put the thermostat in or even a gasket. I called and they said they wouldn't of done such a thing. He told me the thermostat was on the shelf and he would send it to me. As far as the business end of things we do not have the title yet for it. Called the court house and they are checking into it. WHAT EVER YOU DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THESE WANT TO BE MARINE DEALER. WHAT A JOKE.
