One of the worst Mani Pedi's I've ever gotten. Tom was nice but did a horrible job. My cuticles were not done and the polish was really bumpy. Ann came over to redo the polish, but also did a poor job. When doing my nails, she dug her nails into my cuticles to clean up the messy polish. Painful. She was also extremely rude. While COVID numbers are on the rise in CA, I was very fortunate to have been able to cross the state line to get mani-pedi minutes from my parents' home. Although their site says "Walk-Ins accepted," call first to set an appointment because they are ensuring they are following Covid regulations and making sure everyone is wearing a mask and practicing social distancing. People who walked in were asked to set up an appointment which was either hours later or for the next day. My mani-pedi was great! The person who did my nails was very friendly and enjoyed conversing with customers. He was gentle with my nails which he noticed were overly scraped by the previous nail technician when I used gel. Never use gel unless you know if the technician knows how to take it off carefully. He was also very knowledgeable about nail colors. He knew what percentage my nails would be dry after 7 min. I was also super impressed when he was talking to another customer about the different shades of red in gel colors. He knew name brands and new which colors she might like The massage was decent. It was a little deep and he focused on certain spots to make you relax. I could've fallen asleep! Kudos to Paradise Nails! I'll be back next time I need a pedicure and am visiting SLT. Very accommodating! My sister is getting married in Tahoe, so we flew in from Indiana for the wedding. We all wanted to get pampered before the big day. We had 5 people in our group, so the owner and other staff opened at 8am to get us all in for manicures and pedicures. They took their time with each of us. It's lumpy from the polish being put on too thick in some places and literally not at all on other places. Don't let the basic look of this salon fool you. I received one of the best pedicures I ever got in my life. The woman who did it was super courteous and polite, and took every labor intensive step to ensure my feet and nails were in top form. She also gave me an awesome foot and leg massage that just about put me to sleep. I barely even felt her working on my toenails because she was so gentle, but the results were fabulous. Having patronized this salon for over four years, I know what I'm getting into when I walk in the door (techs late to appointments, double booking, multiple techs during a single service, questionable sanitation), but the service I received two days ago was inexcusable. After an hour and a half of the owner, Ann, and another tech trying to complete my manicure, I had to leave before I lost my cool in front of other customers. I was charged full price, and I tipped 20% as I always do, butI will not be returning. Let me preface by saying the manicure style I requested, ombre glitter on a solid base color with gel, is the same style I've had completed successfully here, MULTIPLE times before in the last four years. Apparently the techs forgot the simple application process this visit, and made a huge mess of my fingers during application and had to remove the polish on the nail and retry a few times. During this time they were talking, joking, and laughing in a language I wasn't familiar with, while failing to listen to my suggestion of how to execute the design. They used a sponge to apply the glitter to about 20% of my nail and 80% of my finger (after I questioned why they weren't using a brush, like they usually do). Instead of wiping the remaining polish on my skin off (nearly down to my second knuckle), I was placed under the curing lamp, twice. After the polish was set, they attempted to scrub and scrub, including a sanding block, to get the polish off the skin of my fingers. I was nearly in tears from frustration at this point so I asked the tech to stop. He was like "sorry, it's hard to get off". ..You think?! I was not offered an apology for the terrible application process, or excessive appointment time. I had to leave looking like my 4yo nephew painted my nails. I had to go straight home after because I didn't want anyone to see my hands. Go here if you have to, but don't expect high quality or a sanitized and professional environment. So happy to find a salon that could take us. My pedicure was great, but the man who did my manicure accidentally snipped my skin on my ring finger. It hurt and was bleeding pretty badly. They tried to disinfect the cut and then wanted to close it up with crazy glue. I said no because you can lock in an infection and get blood poisoning. He even gently argued with me about how hospitals use crazy glue. I ended up getting a 9-nail manicure and left with a bandaid wrapped around that finger. I was unable to use that finger for a couple of days. There was no offer for a reduced price for my manicure and I didn't ask for one, but it would have been nice. read more

This was an extra $100.00. Absurd!! Place was very clean and the manicures and pedicures were awesome but I seriously think $20.00 extra for each gel manicure and pedicure is beyond absurd!!! They had me move spots and people 3 times, insulted my color choice, and told me they didn't have time to do my nails right and if I wanted to get it fixed I could come back later. My feet feel so good after getting a pedicure! It is a great place to go if you have feet that need to be cleaned up and it feels very soothing. The price is not bad either were the seats. I never had a pedicure before but I'm sure that people that have experienced getting pedicures/Manicure or anything like it recommend this for others to go to.
