This review is for the oh so lovely miss Sarah! I've been getting my hair done with my regular hair stylist for the last 6 years. Moving to Tahoe makes it hard to get my hair done as often as I would like. I moved here from LA and I'm not making my trips back home as often as before. I am a loyal client and I hate to have cheated on my hair stylist back home. But living 500+ miles away, what's a girl to do? My mom lived in Tahoe a few years ago and would get her hair done by Sarah. After moving here, my mom would tell me I should give her a try. After living here for over a year, I finally decided to give Sarah a call. When I called her, she was very professional and quoted me over the phone. I wanted to do something very different with my hair. Something I've never done before. I wanted bright red ombré hair. I was very nervous since I was going for a whole different look that I wasn't use to and especially going to a different hair stylist for the first time in 6 years! When I arrived for my appointment, she took me to her room and had a water bottle ready for me. Her room is so cute, and I love the privacy of it. The spa itself is very cozy and makes you feel at home. We discussed once more about what I wanted to do to my hair and she went straight to work. I thought it was very cute that she was just as excited as I was to do my hair. I have a lot of hair. My hair is long and thick, too. Half way coloring my hair after using a whole bottle, the color ran out! She told me that we can use a permanent red and see how it turns out. If I didn't like it for whatever reason, she will order my color and I can come back in two days and she can put the vivid red on. I was so nervous when she told me the color was out. I went ahead with the permanent red for the other half of my hair. Now for the outcome? It came out amazing! (See photo) I am totally in love with my hair! The red came out nice and bright, the permanent red was a little darker, but blended well with the bright red. She uses great products, which I absolutely loved! Even after all the bleaching done to my hair, it came out silky and shiny! Sarah is amazing at what she does and is very sweet and patient. She doesn't rush through her work, and makes sure of it that you are completely satisfied with your hair. She was such a pleasure to have working on my hair. Anna was FANTASTIC to work with. She was prompt to call me back to set an appointment and sent me a text reminder the day before. At the appointment she was thorough, and clearly has an immense amount of expertise. We talked all about different products and regimens that she recommended for me and did not try to "sell" me on anything. She also spoke a lot about the science behind each type of product & skin issue, and what to look out for. She crafted the facial specifically to my skin's needs (using two different types of masks on different areas of my face). She even gave a very nice neck, shoulder, head, and foot rub! I went to Angel Touch Spa for my first time this past week. My family and I were on our first-ever family vacation and the menfolk decided that my mother and I needed some pampering and bonding time. They scheduled us an appointment at Angel Touch Spa and let us do what we wanted for the day. We both decided on getting Facials, paraffin hand + feet dips, and manicures/pedicures + Shellac. I've had a manicure and pedicure once before, but I'd never had a facial or a paraffin dip. Upon entering Angel Touch Spa, we were greeted by Wendi and Anna, and they were incredibly nice from the start. Anna swept me up and took me into the massage room, where she instructed me to change into the towel and sit on the table. When she came in, she started off with the paraffin dip...which at first, wasn't a pleasant experience. Since I've never had one before, I didn't know how warm the wax should be...and it was really, really hot. Like, painfully hot, from the first moment she dipped my right foot. The next couple of dips on that same foot weren't nearly as bad because my foot was encased in a layer of wax to protect it, but each time I dipped another foot or my hands, it hurt. However, once the initial heat died down, it was actually quite pleasant and it made my hands and feet feel amazing. The facial and massage were very nice. I'm a naturally high-strung person but I was definitely able to relax and even doze a little bit. Afterwards, Wendi did my nails, and I feel like she did an alright job. I got the Shellac on both my fingernails and toenails and initially I thought she did a very complete job, but once I was home, I realized she'd left some gaps between my nail and my nail bed and around my nails. It still looked alright and I know it will last a couple of weeks, so if ever I'm back up in the Tahoe area, I would probably go back to them again. My mom really enjoyed her dips, facial, and mani/pedi. She was a little disappointed because the woman who did her manicure didn't completely know how Shellac worked, and because she didn't instruct my mother correctly, her thumbs got messed up. She still had a blast, though, and really enjoyed herself. All in all, I loved Angel Touch Spa and if I'm back in Tahoe, I would go back to them. I took off one star because I really do believe the wax they used for the paraffin was too hot, the minor gaps on my nails, and the lack of experience with Shellac that kind of fudged up my mom's manicure. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is small-town but comfortable. A treat if ever you're in Tahoe and you need extra R&R! read more

So, I did send her 3 different pictures and she provided her input. Hair trial - I could only meet Sarah two days before our wedding to do the hair trial. This location was not hard to find and fairly close to Embassy Suites. I love the set up of the Angel Touch Spa. She has her own room for her clients. As soon as I showed her my wedding dress, she knew what to do - the eva longoria hair style. I was pleased with it. Wedding day - She came in as planned and prepared. She immediately started preparing my hair and when it came to release my curls and everything, my hair looked a little puffier than I expected and she fixed it. I love this place! It was very clean, relaxing, and the entire stuff I met that day was very nice and helpful. I had my nails Mani/pedi done by Wendi, and a facial by Karin. Both were exceptional! I felt so pampered and relaxed when I left that day. My nails looked awesome, and they lasted for allot longer then the "quickly" dime a dozen salons I've been to in the past. We celebrated my mom's 50th birthday in Tahoe in August 2009. Part of her surprise was sending her to Angel Touch for a facial, massage and eye brow waxing. I walked my mom in to her spa appointment and realized that this place was very quaint and small. I called my mom after her appointment ended and my mom said this was the best time she ever had. The owner was the person who helped my mom and my mom said she was very nice and made her feel relaxed. My mom had been to other spas (larger) in the past and she said this spa beat all the other overrated, big, fancy spas she has been to. My mom had such a good time at Angel Touch she gave the owner a hug and wanted to cry when she walked out because she loved it so much. I went in for waxing (arms, pits, full legs, brazilian). The waxing took place in a room that felt like a storage room. It had harsh flourescent lighting and felt like an afterthought. The waxer got wax all over the place, so that it was impossible to avoid sticky spots on the table. She was a little sloppy on the arms and legs (when I got outside in the sunlight I saw patches that she missed). The brazilian was excellent, quick and relatively easy. She seemed to really know what she was doing and wasted no time, but she wasn't particularly careful to check over her work, wasn't careful to make sure I wasn't covered in wax when I left. $150 plus tip for the whole thing. She knew that I was local and looking for a regular new salon. read more

Wendi gave me a flawless airbrush tan! She was meticulous and careful to cover ever inch of my body. As soon as I walked in she greeted me with a big smile and a friendly hello. I felt very comfortable in the spa. In addition to the flawless application, the tanning solution was wonderful. It wasn't smelly or sticky, and I left with a beautiful, natural looking bronze! This review is coming from an airbrush tan connoisseur. I cannot tan naturally as I always burn. During the summer I try to get an airbrush tan at least 2 times a month. Anna found every tense muscle and knot, and melted them away. I've had many massages. This one was the best! Between the massage and facial, I left there looking and feeling five years younger.
