The company clearly states if you have a concern let them know. I sent a message indicating we still had snow and needed it removed. We have an elderly women that comes to our house daily & I was concerned for her safety. The owner proceeded to argue and imply I was lying and told me to review the terms & conditions. I'm very familiar with contracts since I manage the contracting process for a fortune 5 company. Needless to say, I removed the snow. We had a similar experience the next snow. The company did eventually show about a day after the snow fall & the sidewalks were not clear of snow. Again, I reached out and sent a picture indicating my concern for the safety of people using our sidewalk & walks. Again he implied I was lying. At this point, I concluded I would need to do the sidewalks myself moving forward. Understandably, sometimes due to timing snow can't be removed at the best time. At this point, I was told he would refund me. I was refunded but the next day they charged the full amount AGAIN without consent. I reached out with proof asking why this occurred. I was basically told it had been refunded and there wasn't an issue. When I checked in again they acknowledged I was charged again & would be refunded. The refund is not showing on my account and I'm hopeful it is processing. I switched to 'Quality Seasons' for the 1 inch snow trigger and should have stayed with the reliable service we have had for years. If you want to be called a liar, pay a ton of money & remove the snow yourself hire this company. I have never experienced this type of horrible service before.

We hired A-1 Curb Appeal for concrete curbing around 5 large pine trees. Bryan texted to say the…read morecrew was on their way the morning of July 1 and he would stop later that afternoon. After the crew finished we immediately received the invoice which stated the final payment was due that day so I promptly paid it and Bryan never showed or texted. The next morning my husband and I questioned if reinforced steel cable was used in the curbing as the quote included that add on.  We called Bryan and he said there was a material of some sort that would hold the cement together. He did not confirm that cable was used. After our phone call I reviewed the quote and it clearly states  "using reinforced steel cable."  I then checked the few photos/videos I took during the install and there is no reel or cable attached to the machine confirming cable was not used. I sent Bryan an email July 6 voicing our disappointment on a few things but mostly dissatisfied cable was not installed. To date, we have not had a reply. Steel cable is critical for many reasons. It drastically increases the curb's tensile strength preventing concrete from separating, shifting or breaking apart. With our cold MN weather steel cable helps the curb flex and hold together, preventing it from snapping or heaving out of place. So sadly, we didn't get what was promised and now hoping we don't see cracking or heaving very soon.

While they dug a bit beyond the easement, which we understood might have been necessary, they left our property in unacceptable condition and failed to restore it properly. Here's what we were left with: A 14' spruce leaning because they didn't re-install the stake, they exposed some of the roots on the dig. Dirt clumps and uneven ground--no effort to smooth it out. Half-buried utility flags and noticeable machine tire tracks across the property. Sparse reseeding that barely covered the area. A little hand raking and some effort could have fixed much of this, but they left it a mess. When we spoke to Ken at the company, and he promised to "look into it" and take care of it. Weeks later, with no follow-up and freezing temperatures now setting in, nothing has been resolved. They had over eight weeks to make things right, and they didn't. I would not recommend Klean Companies to anyone who expects quality work or even basic accountability.
