We had Pace Landscaping add a fire pit to our backyard. They did a fabulous job in spite of the inclement weather they encountered. The final product is exactly what we discussed and designed. Craig was patient with us as we worked over the design to get what we wanted on paper and worked with us on getting the price more manageable. His workers were professional, hard working, pleasant to talk with and listened and took direction from us when we asked about concerns. Craig and his team did a great job helping to update some drains in our yard, laying a paver patio and leveling out some of our land to support drainage and flow of the yard. Craig was great at responding with any questions leading up to and following the process. His pricing was very competitive and the team met deadlines and were great at communicating updates on progress throughout the project. Jarvis was very helpful on site and helped keep us informed as we worked through changes to the project as well. We've worked with a few different companies this year on different home projects and Craig and team were some of the best. They communicated, completed the job on time, and were reasonably priced. Pace Landscaping put in a brick paver patio and updated some landscaping in July of 2019. One year later, we are loving our outdoor patio space and have received many compliments. Craig also made good on replacing the perennials that did not make it through the first growing season and reimbursed us for some minor damage done to a sprinkler pipe. I would urge anyone working with Craig and Pace Landscaping to strongly consider other options based on problematic communication, skeptical business practices and outright rudeness.  We had Craig out, as the first of five companies, to provide an estimate (free per website and discussion) for a multi phase project we were just starting to look into. During the site visit, we talked through ideas for a short bit and left with the understanding that he would get us an estimate. Three weeks later (after multiple inquiries from us) he sent us a rough draft of a design, an estimate and an invoice for almost $500. We never agreed to any paid work (verbally or in writing). When asked, he claimed we agreed to the work (absolutely untrue) and refused to negate the invoice.  Reiterating the point that we never agreed to any work we were told "I'm to busy to argue with you",  "Keep your nonpayment  $450 Landscape design - And yes we need to have a contract signed to prevent the 1 out a 100.", and after thanking him for resolving the issue, "We didn't come to a resolution.  I'm just moving on, not wasting anymore time, and learning from people like you. That a verbal agreement is a free ticket." read more

11-17-15 One year later and everything is looking good. The sod took and is actually very much healthier than my old lawn. Boulders installed have remained in place and the mulch seems to have stayed put, for the most part. Very pleased with the work and happy I chose Craig Pace and Pace Landscaping and design. I found the Pace Team very responsive and creative when I contacted them about a new landscape design for my back yard. Their pricing was in line with other landscapers I had spoken to and they were willing to start right away, which meant, just ahead of the snow this fall. I am very happy with the work they did and the speed at which they delivered the project. No surprises and Craig Pace was easy to deal with and very fair. I would recommend this company. read more

We've used Pace on several projects over the years and they have exceeded my expectations every time. I've had a patio and retaining walls installed, edging, over seeding, new perennial beds, sod, sprinkler systems, etc. They do it all! Pace just un-landscaped, re-graded, installed a new automatic sprinkler system, and re-landscaped our yard with new grass and landscape rocks. We wanted to transform our yard into a super low-maintenance one, and Pace delivered just that! Our backyard had become completely overgrown, out of control, and was just a mess! And no matter how much effort we put into it we just could never get the whole thing looking nice and we just couldn't figure out how to fix it! Craig worked with my husband to design a very low-maintenance, simple, clean, new design for our yard. The crew worked diligently and quickly. They had the entire tear out (which was massive) and redo done within 1 week! Now we have a yard that will look clean and manicured and that we will actually be able to maintain ourselves with just weekly mowing and occasional fenceline weed whacking. I highly recommend Pace Inc. Landscape and design! My girlfriend recommended Craig as she has had done work by him at several of the properties she owns. Craig came out to my house for an estimate and had great answers for what to do. He drew up some plans and it all made sense. I was very impressed. Jarvis and the rest of the crew are very professional and pay close attention to details. For example, I watched Jarvis adjusting one very large landscaping boulder for several minutes until he got it just right. My brick sidewalk going to the front door is beautiful and their expertise is impressive. When they were close to being done, I noticed the water flowing away from my house like it had never had been before! I don't know much at all about plants (and what would work in the woods where I live) and Craig and crew chose a nice mix of plants which compliment the surroundings.
